Lloyd | 110 comments After much restless reading, I have finally landed on an ARC that is holding my attention and has all the other books I was into put on hold.

Currently reading The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman .

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Finished The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and enjoyed it. I thought the writing was really beautiful. Though I almost feel like I need to read it again to catch what I missed. There was a lot going on and it was a little confusing...but good.

Not sure what to read next...

Sounds like a good book. I'll have to read that once the price comes down. $12.99 for a Kindle book is steep.

message 2206: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments I know, its pretty high, but I bought it with a gift card so it doesn't count! :)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments I wish there was a way I could send books to you when I'm done with them. LoL

Jim Dale narrates the audiobook (he read all the Harry Potter books) so I put a hold on it at the library.

Kourtni - Is it loanable? I loaned Heidi my Scorpio Races Kindle book and it worked really well.

Heidi - Did you finish Scorpio Races?

I finished it Shannen. Thanks again for loaning it to me (I think the loan is up today or tomorrow - it was for 14 days). I liked the last part of the book more than the first.

message 2212: by [deleted user] (new)

You're welcome! I was happy to loan it to you. :) How many stars did you give it?

message 2213: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Hmm..I'm not sure how to find out if it is loanable. I will try to figure it out and let you know!

message 2214: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments Okay I figured it out! The Night Circus is not loanable :( but Forever is. Let me know if you want to borrow that! I know you said you were iffy about it and this way you wont have to buy it. :)

I would be happy to loan you Forever too (Shiver book 3 right??)- actually I would be happy to just give it to you! I will not be re-reading it.

message 2216: by [deleted user] (new)

Oooo, thanks, ladies! When I get to a point when I am ready for Forever, I'll let you know.

So I know a lot of you are Ender's Game fans - I am behind the times and see there is going to be a movie with Harrison Ford and Abigail Breslin. Hope it's good.

Really?! I've yet to read it but I've heard really good things about it and hope to get to it before the movie comes out! I love me some Harrison Ford ;) hahaha

message 2221: by Brandi (new)

Brandi I'm reading On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley and The Monstrumologist (The Monstrumologist, #1) by Rick Yancey .

I am reading Instructions for a Broken Heart by Kim Culbertson and listening to The Mark of the Golden Dragon Being an Account of the Further Adventures of Jacky Faber, Jewel of the East, Vexation of the West, and Pearl of the South China Sea (Bloody Jack, #9) by L.A. Meyer . btw I love my ipod touch but I HATE itunes. It is the least user friendly program I have ever used. I have been using WMP for years and miss it. I burned the CD's of Mark of the GD into itunes and it only plays one section at a time. I am sure there is a way to fix this but itunes in general just ticks me off.

message 2223: by Emma (new)

Emma (emnor) Right now my English class is reading Little Brother by Cory Doctorow , and it is the funnest book I have ever read in an English class by far, if I do say so myself.... So many bad words..... So much bada**ness... So much *ahem* physical contact between characters......... Yup. I am liking this.

message 2224: by Emma (new)

Emma (emnor) Rolenda, I don't really know about the Fox Inheritance trilogy/series/whatever it is. I got the first one from the library, but when I tried to read it, I just.... couldn't. I don't know what it was about it. So, I would say that at least the first one isn't good.... And I have nooo idea about the second one.

message 2225: by Kourtni (new)

Kourtni (kourkyloo) | 732 comments I agree about Itunes Heidi!!!!

I've been missing me some Jacky Faber. I think its time to listen to the next one!

Emma: I listened to Little Brother and really liked it! Hope you enjoy it.

I thought it was a really good book. Edgy. Thought-provoking. Made me want to read his other YA stuff...but haven't gotten around to it yet. (Too many books, too little time) Definitely worth the time though. :)

Thanks for the reply. I was able to finish the first book, and I was hoping that the next book will make up for the first one. It seems like it wouldn't. haha thanks again!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I was like get it together!

message 2241: by [deleted user] (new)

No! I meant I was screaming because I didn't want to put it down, not because of what was going on in the book. My heart bleeds for Carly but I do want to slap her at times.

Brandi I'm reading The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater and I'm really getting into it. Plus I seriously love Maggie Stiefvater's writing.

message 2247: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes! I bawled afterwards. Part of that is because it seemed to end so abruptly that it was a letdown. I needed just a little more! Sheesh. I'm such a girl.

message 2248: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm now reading Blood Past (Warriors of Ankh #2) by Samantha Young . Need something light after Raw Blue.
