Those books are beast. (Well, all his books are.)

Currently reading Significance ( Significance, #1) by Shelly Crane . So far, it's pure fluff.

That was a fun one.

We'll see. I'm not very far into it but there seems to be a lot of Twilight parallels.

I haven't read any of Rick Riordan's books but they are on my list. My hubby was talking about reading the Percy Jackson series after Finnikin.

So, I finished reading Forever. I liked it, but not as much as the other ones. I thought the ending was kind of ... rushed. And not very satisfying.

Right after I finished it, I read the entirety of Goliath, because ... I just could not stop. Oh my goodness. It was SO GOOOOD. Now that was a satisfying ending to a series. <3

I really disliked the ending for Forever and it impacted my entire rating.

Brigid ✩ | 2471 comments Mod
Yeah, I didn't like the ending much either. I didn't hate it, I just wished it were ... more. Because basically everything happened within the last 20 pages or so. And I had some believability issues with it. :/

message 1920: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (lesmisarahbles) | 12 comments HGSDFGDFDFFFF GOLIATH IS OUT?!

I did not know this. Okay, my Dolley Madison reading for IB History is going to have to wait.

Brigid ✩ | 2471 comments Mod
YES IT IS.

I think it came out about a month ago, but I didn't get to it until now because my sister and my mom read it first. Blahhh!

It's amazing! :)

message 1922: by Picture (new)

Picture Perfect (picturesperfect) I haven't involved myself in this group in a long time. I am now partially because of Brigid.

Oh, gosh, Brigid. It really does look like I'm stalking you. It's not my fault I set my feed to people who write reviews often. Heh. Heh. Oh, wait, it is.

Anyway, I'm currently reading The Lost Hero. Or failing to read it. It's been a month, and I still haven't finished it. School make me be busy. Reading. No time. No capable of writing sentences. I go bye.

Bye.

Okay, I think that finally I'm going to read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on it, so ... let's seeee.

message 1926: by Emma (new)

Emma (emnor) I just finished rereading Fire (The Seven Kingdoms, #2) by Kristin Cashore for like the sixth time.... I adore those books! Yay! I got my mom to read them, too... She's still not done, though, so I don't know if she liked them as much as I do....

message 1927: by Emma (new)

Emma (emnor) AAAHHHH! Brigid! Now you got me all excited for Goliath! I put it on hold like THREE MONTHS AGO. And I still don't have it. How long does it take for my library to order a book? Barking Spiders!

Lola (Reading by Lamplight) (hollylilly) Bluemoon wrote: "HOLLY: I'm having a hard time finishing it. It's ok, but its just like so many books I've read in history. The intro was interesting, that rest is a bit...eh..."

I had the same problem. Overall, the book is a little dry. However, there are some stories that are more interesting than others. I think the audiobook helped liven things up a bit because they had a different actor read for each story. Good luck and hang in there!!! :)

message 1931: by Brigid ✩ (new)

Brigid ✩ | 2471 comments Mod
Okay I've only read the first ten or so pages of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, but I already see why a lot of people find it annoying. I don't think the author sounds like a 9-year-old at all, even if the kid is smart for his age or whatever...

Bridget (bridgethw) | 52 comments Ok i finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor and absolutely LOVED it. I had limited time when I started this book but once I set the time aside I devoured it! I hope, (and who doesn’t?) that the next one is just as good.
I am currently listening to Delirium (Delirium, #1) by Lauren Oliver again while I wait for some titles to come available from the audio library.
I am also reading Crossed (Matched, #2) by Ally Condie today. I know the reviews have not been nice but I also have come to notice that unfortunately many sequels fall short of expectations; it’s kind of like the middle of a movie when the director wants you to pay close attention so slows the action down and the information starts to flow, before the climatic end.

I'm still reading Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close but I left it in my dorm room when I left for Thanksgiving break. D:

But I have some digital books on my computer so, recently I finished The Girl Who Owned a City: The Graphic Novel and now I'm reading Sisters of Glass.

message 1941: by Xoey (new)

Xoey I'm actually reading two books right now, Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis and The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom . They're both quite good, and very different too...
I've promised myself I'd start Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor once I'm done those two...

Emma (emnor) I have been too lazy to go to the library lately, so right now I'm rereading all of the books I own. So... Fire (The Seven Kingdoms Trilogy, #2) by Kristin Cashore The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins Catching Fire (The Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2) by Cassandra Clare City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3) by Cassandra Clare

That's a lot, I know....
