Currently reading Amish Friends Knitting Circle by Karen Anna Vogel. I thinks it's a wonderful book.
Has finished Witchy, Witchy - Penelope King. Now I think I will read Name and Number - John Hoskison.
Lisa wrote: "I started Pride and Prejudice couple days ago."P&P is one of my all time favorite books. If you find the pacing slow or if it's difficult to get into, it helps to watch the BBC version while reading it your first time.
Just reached half mark of Making Money, strangely it's boring me! (shouldn't happen with Terry Pratchett!!) Might start another book so I could jump between books for a while, though that is not my normal practice.
Getting ready to start reading Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubbleand once that is done I'll go to
.I've been reading and will be reading on and off for a while The Complete Wizard of Oz Collection.
I'm in the middle of reading a book called, Mojo: In Deep Voodoo by Stephanie Bond (we share the same first name, but unfortunetly, I did not write this book :(). I bought the book by accident (I thought the book was a different book that I'd been looking for) but after the first few pages it grabbed my attention, and I decided to keep it. So far I'm loving it. It's kind of funny how some of the best books are the ones you never meant to read.
Yesterday I finished
by Jennifer Donnelly. The Tea Rose is an extremely well-researched and well-written novel which is packed full of unexpected twists and turns throughout the story. I absolutely enjoyed this book! I thought this book was very gripping, intriguing and engrossing tale and I found it very hard to put it down for long. I couldn't wait to find out what happened next! I fell in love with all the main characters. They were all so interesting, compelling and very well-developed, especially Fiona. As soon as I finished this novel I brought the sequel, The Winter Rose, on my Kindle and I'm really looking forward to reading it! My full review is here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
I've just started reading
by Jojo Moyes.
Read and finished Head Over Heels - Sara Downing. Now I am going back to Name and Number - John Hoskison.
Reading Redoubt on my Kindle keyboard. This is the 4th in Mercedes Lackey's Collegium Chronicles series. Reading Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World on my tablet. This is my first foray into borrowing a Kindle book from the library. It seemed to download fine at first, then it seemed to crash my Kindle app. I reinstalled the app about 5 times, then downloaded the book again, and it seems to be working okay, now. Knock wood.
I've finished reading
by Jojo Moyes and
by Ernest Hemingway. I loved Me Before You from beginning to the end. It's a very complex novel. It is well-written, heart-breaking, gripping and deeply moving. I cried my eyes out several times while reading this book. I don't think I've ever cried this much while reading a book before! This novel deals with the topic of euthanasia and could have been really depressing but it's a credit to the skill of the author that she makes the book so readable. This is a thought provoking story and, whatever you feel about assisted suicide, it will make you think about how you would cope if suddenly all your choices and decisions were taken away from you and you had to rely on others to do everything for you. I gave this book 4.5 Stars!

Now I'm a couple of chapters into
by Janet Evanovich.
Finished Name and Number - John Hoskison. Now I'm gonna carry on reading Bad Blood: A Vampire Thriller - J.R. Rain.
Has just finished Bad Blood: A Vampire Thriller - J.R. Rain Was a great book by 3 different authors who I have never read before. Will definitely keep an eye out for the next in the series if they do any more. Now I am going to read Devil's Waltz - Jonathan Kellerman which I need to read to get the series read to catch up with the publishers lol.
I've recently finished reading
by Ernest Hemingway and
by Janet Evanovich. The Old Man and the Sea
I enjoyed this book. At 127 pages, The Old Man and the Sea was a quick read. I managed to read the entire novel in just under an hour. It was a touching and thought-provoking tale. I admired Santiago's determination and his refusal to let his spirit be broken. I loved Ernest Hemingway's writing style. I thought it was very similar to John Steinbeck's style (who is my favourite author by the way). Although it is a very short novel, the story got quite slow and repetitive in places. It is a good novel but I honestly didn't think it was worthy of the Pulitzer Prize it won in 1953.

Lean Mean Thirteen
I enjoyed this book but I didn't think it was anywhere near as good as the previous instalment, Twelve Sharp. The plot was predictable and virtually nothing happened in it to develop the characters further. I'm getting tired of the love triangle with Joe Morelli and Ranger and I wish Stephanie would finally choose one of them or else dump them both and date someone new! Janet Evanovich has let this go on for far too long and now there's no sexual tension left between the characters.

Now I'm halfway through
by Jane Casey.

I've finished Devil's Waltz - Jonathan Kellerman. Was an ok read. Got a bit boring at the start and near the end was like where it got interesting. Now I think I am gonna read Bloodstone - The Guardian's Curse - J. Michael Radcliffe.
Has finished Bloodstone - The Guardian's Curse - J. Michael Radcliffe Was a good story. Liked the characters and the way it moved along. Loved the 3 small short stories as well. Now I am going to read Falling - Cecilia Gray.
I'm still reading the Hunger Games. Hopefully I'll finish the trilogy by the time Catching Fire comes out
Sense Memory, a new release which I borrowed from Amazon. It's a psychological thriller, which was recommended by Nathan Lowell, another author I really like. Also reading Mycelium Running: How Mushrooms Can Help Save the World, a fascinating book which I borrowed from my library, and Redoubt, the fourth installment in the Collegium Chronicles fantasy series.
I've finished Falling - Cecilia Gray. I loved the characters that are like gods. How 1 person fell in love with an immortal (that she never knew), finding out her sister is a witch. Loved the Paranormal Romance style of it as well. I am listening to Great Expectations - Charles Dickens (my audio for the month) and reading Men at Work: Quick Read - Mike Gayle (A Quick Read) that hubby didn't fancy reading.
I'm reading On the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin. It's better and more interesting than I expected!
I'm two chapters away from finishing Dark Kingdom: Land of the evil Queen. It's been a really interesting book. http://www.amazon.com/DARK-KINGDOM-LA...
Hope you enjoy Lord Foul's Bane. I read it many years ago and enjoyed it, but it's definitely different.
Here's the last 3 books I finished reading:
The Tin Horse: A Novel (fiction, 3 stars)
Blue Revolution: Unmaking America's Water Crisis (nonfiction, 5 stars)
Where'd You Go, Bernadette (fiction, 4 stars)
I'm half way through reading Redwalland when I finish it I'm going to start on The Cop with the Pink Pistol.
Has finished Yellow Crocus - Laila Ibrahim Which I found to be like Roots: The Saga of an American Family - Alex Haley which I've only seen the film, but can picture it in my head. Now I've picked up In Stitches - Nick Edwards For a challenge I am doing at the moment,
Just now reading Whole Latte Life. Downloaded as an Amazon Prime loan ages ago! Something a little lighter than what I've been reading lately?
I'm reading A Woman Unknown by Frances Brody. It's a Kate Shackleton cosy crime/Mystery set in the Leeds, UK, area of the 1920s. Frances Brody has a light touch adn I'm enjoying my first bite of the series, though why I would choose Bk3 to start is a head-slapper.
Now I am going to carry on reading Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin - David Wailing on my kindle.
I've finished The Morganville Vampires Book Twelve: Black Dawn - Rachel Caine and Bang: Memoirs of a Relationship Assassin - David Wailing.
