Clarisse The Hunger Games trilogy is definitely better than the whole Twilight series.

Megan Hunger Games All The Way!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I honestly don't know how Twilight fits the description of a good book... An Epic Fail of a book.
Bloodthirsty murderous monsters don't sparkle!!!! End of Story.

May the odds be EVER in your favor...

Melanie Hunger Games, there's no comparison.

message 311: by Carol (new) - rated it 5 stars

Carol I like Twilight alot but I also love the Hunger Games so its hard for me to choose .

message 312: by Nikki (new) - rated it 4 stars

Nikki Hunger Games FOR SURE...even tho both were too EMO for my liking. I mock Twilight every chance I get, only I complain about Katniss from the beginning of the second book. She drove me NUTS! But nothing like Bella.

message 313: by Kyra (last edited Jun 10, 2011 05:20PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kyra I cannot choose! I love both series so much. <3

And you shouldn't have to choose, both series are both compeltely different from one another. They have NOTHING in common except a strong female character and two boys fighting for her affection. Other than that, NOTHING IN COMMON.

message 314: by Ashlee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Ashlee i liked both of 'em......

message 315: by Alison (new) - rated it 4 stars

Alison Hunger games. It's just....just beyond amazing. Let's all just admit this little fact :)

message 316: by Jazz (last edited Jun 19, 2011 11:33AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jazz I actually enjoyed the Twilight books. Or I should say the first three. I hate that fourth book with a passion. But, there is absolutely no competition. Hunger Games is so much better, and realistic, that it ain't funny.

I think the main reason for that is because each of the Hunger Games books actually have a purpose in the overall saga. Whereas with the Twilight books, only the first one has a story to it and a pretty weak one at that. The other three are really just a rip-off.

message 317: by Nhi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Nhi Vo Of course Hunger Game lol!!! Well, I've never actually read Twilight, even though I've considered it a few times before, but in the end I decided against it because people told me it was a waste of time, and reread the Hunger Game like 3 times. XD

message 318: by SANDRA (new) - rated it 5 stars

SANDRA hunger games.. all the way. read the twilight saga it lacked a lot of stuff!!!

Shreya=Drastically Random. Find the emoticon. Do you even have to ask? HUNGER GAMES!!!!

message 320: by Kara (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kara THE HUNGER GAMES, HANDS DOWN! The Hunger Games made Twilight look like a children's book. After I read The Hunger Games, I couldnt' believe I liked Twilight! ha!! The Host by Stephanie Meyer is definitely her best work!

message 321: by Kara (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kara Kate (Daughter of Zeus) wrote: "Hunger Games. Twilight was good for about three chapters, then Meyers started repeating the same thing over and over and over again in different ways. Hunger Games was so thrilling! You were sucked..."
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU. :)

Tiffany hunger games really made me love the characters and i felt more connected to them, I couldn't relate to bella at all she was just too dull and had no life other than edward but than again both pale in comparison to Harry Potter!

Jazz Tiffany wrote: "hunger games really made me love the characters and i felt more connected to them, I couldn't relate to bella at all she was just too dull and had no life other than edward but than again both pale..."

I actually like The Hunger Games trilogy more than I like Harry Potter. Harry Potter was great, but all the books had a tended to drag at some parts and would get a little boring (especially in the Order of the Phoenix). Meanwhile, the Hunger Games books (mainly The Hunger Games & Catching Fire) were a thrill ride all the way through. So, while I love both serieses, The Hunger Games tops Harry Potter in my book. (no pun intended)

message 324: by Tiffany (last edited Jun 23, 2011 08:14PM) (new) - rated it 3 stars

Tiffany I think I can agree to a point with you, I did enjoy the action and love story and the pace of the books (Hunger Games) def. makes you want to keep turning the pages to see what's happening next i think it depends on the type of person you are I love HP because of the details I'm that type of person who wants to know what a character is wearing in the story etc just because it helps me to build the scene in my head i know i sound crazy but that's why i connect so much to HP, on the other hand with the Hunger Games I really liked how you didn't have to read 10 pages to find out what was happening in one scene. But then again being a Potterhead lol no book will ever compare to any the series of HP for me, I've been cast under the spell, already preparing myself for the last movie. But I know I'll be first in line as well to see the Hunger Games, Jen L. looks amazing as Katniss

message 325: by Wendy (new) - rated it 5 stars

Wendy Hunger games for sure. No doubt about it.

Anna Lee I've read both and I have to say;
T.H.E. H.U.N.G.E.R G.A.M.E.S!!!!! *cheers while jumping up and down*
twilight *gives half hearted moan*
haha. Twilight wasn't bad but The Hunger Games totally wooped it:)
I'm all in for HG

message 327: by maddie (last edited Jun 28, 2011 05:11PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie HUNGER GAMES!! i mean seriously, even though its love in twilight, why fall in love with a guy that sparkles and you cannt even walk in the sunlight with to show off to all your friends about how great and sexy your b.f is?? jk i get the whole falling in love with the living dead if its true love. i just dont like vampires and the romance in the hunger games is way more intesne in my opion, how katniss would even come up with the idea to pretend to love him, when even deep down she knew she really did, just so she could save both their lives... NOW THATS TRUE LOVE!!

Anna Lee I think you pretty much summed it up, Maddie:D

Tiffany maddie wrote: "HUNGER GAMES!! i mean seriously, even though its love in twilight, why fall in love with a guy that sparkles and you cannt even walk in the sunlight with to show off to all your friends about how g..."

true and valid points however, i must admit i was rooting for her and Gale at the end, i think she fell in love with peeta because he understood, the nightmares etc but with a little bit more time i think she would've chose gale and i hated how suzanne didn't elaborate on what happened to gale!

message 330: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie but how would she have definitely have fallen in lovewith gale? what if he never exactly felt the sam eway if she had loved him?wouldnt he hav come back to stay with her in district twelve?

Tiffany gale understood her better than anyone before she entered that arena and gale always loved katniss when she was a fighter, at the end of the book she just lost her spark if she would've stayed longer with gale and let peeta stay crazy they would've been together at least thats my opinion but i think she suffered too much emotional problems and figured she would rather stay with peeta who understood her...rather than try and let gale in more and deal with that...its like katniss basically said gale was too much of a warrior for her, she needed someone who didn't have so much fire in him...so she settled for peeta

Tiffany i personally would've liked gale and johanna together but no suzanne couldn't freaking just let gale be happy...

message 333: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie .....they had a connection? lol i never realized that. but if so, i think johanna was maybe a little to self centered through it all.

Tiffany no gale and johanna didn't but i liked her spirit i think those two would've been a good fit in my own world lol but i have to admit peeta really did everything for katniss so what more could a girl as for? i can't wait for the movie...

message 335: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie i also think that gale maybe only liked her when she was a fighter, that i sreally the only side he ever saw of her. she always tried to stay tough around him. nevernecessarily let her feelings flow. alwways left them inside. peeta understood her better. he was soft and loving, knew how to express most his feelings in art. soft guys are better then gys who try to impree girls with toughness. even though gale was how he was to support himself and his famiy...and katniss as much as he could.

Tiffany but while i enjoyed the hunger games more than twilight i do think the romance is better in twilight though it made bella have no life i felt twilight had no growth at all...katniss started off strong but then i felt her spark was gone...so in conclusion bella stayed boring and dull...katniss was exciting and fiesty but then became boring and dull (just my opinion not trying to offend any hard mockingjays out there-but then as I've said I'm a potter girl any day all day)

Tiffany maddie wrote: "i also think that gale maybe only liked her when she was a fighter, that i sreally the only side he ever saw of her. she always tried to stay tough around him. nevernecessarily let her feelings flo..."

i see your point i never thought about it that way and gale really was about the "cause" a bit too much...it makes wonder though what would've happened if gale had went into those games instead? i would love to read about that...i wonder if he would've been killing everyone? etc...makes ya wonder.

message 338: by maddie (last edited Jun 28, 2011 05:48PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie lol, i do feel that katniss always tried to stick up for herself and when others tried she kind of felt mybe a little less tough. she tried to stay tough to keep herself and the ones she loved safe.......AND TO ME THAT INCLUDES PEETA AND GALE....maybe more peeta then gale...:)

message 339: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie i technically think he would have died... imean yah hes tough and al and strong, but he wasnt as smart as peeta. not that im calling gale dumb, not at all, just that peeta had some skills that gale didnt

Tiffany lol very true maddie, agreed. i can't blame her for going less tough after all she been through...very nice to get another viewpoint usually once i make up my mind about a book its hard to see diff view points/interpretations thanks for giving me a new way to look at it..

message 341: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie lol your welcome. i read the book twice and the second time i caught some things i didnt the first time. my imagination got sent onto overload beause i iked how i imagned everything the first time better.

Tiffany lmfao! i'm def. going to have to read it a couple more times before this movie comes out but i think the cast is good so i'm not disappointed.

message 343: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie eh... the cast really isnt the best they could have provided in my opinion

Tiffany haha well i think the only one i 100% agree with is lenny k. i know that sounds crazy but i think he can pull cinna off and im fine with jen l, at least she can act. liam hemsworth i think he has the right body to be gale but lacks his toughness...but josh seems like a good fit for peeta who would you have liked to see?

message 345: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie idk someone new of course. i dont really like liam because hes the toal opposite of gale and, i sorta like josh but, idk, i just think the charcters should be a little more natural then having to have their hair dyed and all that like amalda and dayo fir district 11

Tiffany agreed

message 347: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie lol...i wana figure out who chose the cast... it just seems ong to haveto got thru all of that money when you coyld find a much better match... but i guess its too late cuz the ovie comes out next year

Tiffany lmfao! you know im praying that they do the movie right i hated the first twilight movie it was just all wrong but improved i get scared when they make movies from books especially from series such as this...

message 349: by maddie (new) - rated it 5 stars

maddie but they will be sending the wrong message if they dont add every detail in the story tho. thas what sux...what if they cut out the scene in thcave or the encounter withthresh when he saved her life or even the simplest things like they did in i am number four how they left out the details of the house and how they met..it was supposed to be the mom who told them about eachother

Tiffany omg! exactly! thats why im freaking out here lol im hoping they get it right! i haven't read the book i am number four but that movie was sick NUMBER 6 KICKED ASS! I LOVED HER! but i keep writing to see what is going on for the sequel and i don't think its happening any time soon :(
