((okay.))
Finally, Raven couldn't take it anymore. She had to see James. She just knew she wouldn't be able to sleep without knowing he was really okay. She looked up at him, and then smiled. "James, your head, it's healed."

((My gosh!! Raven has a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge crush on James!! James just sorta likes her at this point.))
"Whoa," James said, blinking. "Do you have healing powers or something?"
((She doesn't, okay?? She can just do fire.))

((She doesn't, okay?? She can just do fire.))
((Well, she is more of a mage. She can do all the elements, just not very powerfully. She depends more on her physical strength, not mystical.))
Raven looked at James and said,"Not that I know of."
Raven looked at James and said,"Not that I know of."
((So there's no way she could beat James in a full-out earth magic contest.))
"Weird..." James muttered. Suddenly he gave a loud yawn and rubbed his eyes. He had kept going all this time on adrenaline alone...he was exhausted.

((Correct. But, she could beat him at hand to hand combat and weaponry.))
Raven took this chance and said,"Well, now I'm going to sleep. Goodnight, James."
Raven took this chance and said,"Well, now I'm going to sleep. Goodnight, James."
"'Night," James murmured. He lay down on the ground next to Raven, silently softening the earth and creating pillows for himself and the girl. Confident that Raven would be comfortable now, James closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
Raven felt the earth shift and knew it was his doing. She blushed, and then closed her eyes, trying to get some sleep.
The voice smiled--or at least it felt like it was smiling...Poppy couldn't explain the sensation--and simply said He's okay now. Poppy's eyes flew open (A cliche! Lool) Sure enough, the boy, James, was slowly awakening.Yay!
She felt giddy from what she had done...whatever it had been. When she saw Raven looking at James that way, she grinned. "Raven likes Ja-ames! Raven likes Ja-ames!" she sang.
...They were asleep. Bores.
Awakened by the sudden racket, Marina rose to her feet. Realizing that Raven and James had just fallen asleep, she decided to leave. She needed some breathing room, and to sleep under the stars. Marina didn't know why, but she could never dream with other people near her or when she wasn't outside. Stepping over the two heaving bodies, Marina exited the cave. Immediately, she found a tree with some easily accessible branches that were large enough to provide a place to sleep. Upon climbing the tree, Marina began to study the stars and leaves, but soon fell asleep.
~~~Marina dreamed. She dreamed that there was an earthquake and that she fell off the tree. But then, somehow, she was back in the tree, but this time in a hammock.~~~
It rained that night. So hard did it rain that the leaves of the tree bent and watered their own roots. However, when Marina awoke, her clothes were only damp. Knowing that this had to do with her "powers", but feeling like being wet, Marina went over to the pond.
((James could have something to do with the earthquake. Maybe he could have a dream too. Or, someone could meet Marina at the pond.))
Raven heard the faint singing, and instantly woke up. She looked at Poppy, and then glared at her. I do not! She said to her, telepathically.
Raven scowled, and then said in Poppy's head,If you ever do that again, I will haunt you in your dreams giving you an everlasting nightmare, understand?!
James was having a nightmare. He dreamed he was back with Carson Bowles, his old kidnapper, being tortured in his little plastic bubble. James tossed and turned and moaned aloud in his sleep. In his mind's eye he saw Bowles grin evilly and heard his voice in his ear. Now, James. Are you going to cooperate or will I have to persuade you a bit longer? In his dream James couldn't speak, and at this lack of response Bowles turned up the torture.
James screamed and bolted awake, shivering. He had the earth unknowingly clenched in his fists and it trembled with him, feeling his upset. James tried to slow his breathing and calm down the ground. He didn't want anyone freaking out because of the tremor. Slowly he calmed down, then crawled out of the cave into the fresh air.
Once outside, James lay against the cave wall and looked up at the stars. Feeling much calmer now, he looked around and noticed Marina lying on the ground underneath a tree, looking as if she had fallen out. James winced -- that must have been his earthquake -- and walked over to her and carefully lifted her back up onto a low-hanging branch. Satisfied that all was well, at least for tonight, James settled himself down outside the cave again and fell into a dreamless sleep.
Raven had gone back to sleep, and had been completely oblivious to James' nightmare, for she herself was having one.
In her nightmare, she was running from something, something dark and misty. She couldn't see what it was, only heard its hiss. She ran as fast as she could, but knew it was no use. The monstrous being behind her finally bellowed and then sent a tentacle after her. It caught her by her ankle, and slowly reeled her into its darkness, no matter how hard she screamed or tried to fight it.
Raven finally woke up, a cold sweat over her, her heaert pounding with fear. She saw Poppy was sound asleep, and smiled. She stood up, brushed her hair down with her fingers, and then walked out of the cave. She climbed up onto the rooftop, and looked up at the stars, trying to clear her mind of that image.
((Okay then. Marina will be at the pond by herself.))Marina, seeing no one, slipped into the pond (with her clothes on) and began to talk to the fish. She learned that they too felt that something strange was going on. Too many dreams have occurred tonight. the high-pitched voices whispered to Marina. Realizing with a start that something bad was to happen, or so thought the fish, Marina got out of the pond, and, forgetting to will herself dry, fled for the cave after only taking of gulp of pond-water (which she had willed to be clean for drinking).
Pond-water cascading down her back, Marina arrived at the entrance to the cave. She realized that the fish were right. She wasn't the only one who had had a dream. Marina did not know how she knew, but she did. She could simply sense that the others around her had had nightmares worse than hers.
((Did Poppy have a dream too, or not?))
((Not that I know of.))
Raven was still sweating, and in shock. What was that--that thing? She could still see it in her minds eye.
James blinked once, then twice, then opened his eyes completely. He wasn't sure why he was awake, but...he could feel uneasiness emanating from the people closest around him. Tiredly James got to his feet, pushing his shaggy bangs out of his face. As he leaned up against the cave wall and yawned, he noticed a faint light in the eastern corner of the gray sky. Great. It's morning, James thought. Dad's gonna kill me... He sighed and ran a hand through his already-messy hair, then turned and scrambled up on top of the cave. He had felt the most discomfort from someone up here, and for some reason he felt most obliged to see her first.
Raven was really peeved. She had been trying to get that image out of her head for a while, but nothing had been working. And she could still see her nightmare in her mind, replaying over and over.
Raven shook her head. "No. No I'm not." She looked at James, and then rubbed her eyes, only to be stopped by something moving in the shadows. She blinked, and then saw the monster in the shadows, beckoning to her. She winced, and then put her hands up over her eyes in defensive mode.
((btw, the monster is there, but it'll disappear whenever anyone other than her see's it.))
(('Kay.))
James followed Raven's glance to the nearby trees of the forest. There seemed to be nothing there, but it was so shadowy underneath the branches that it was nearly impossible to see anything. "What? What is it?" he asked Raven.
"Somethings in there. I saw it in my dreams. It's there. Can't you see it?" raven asked, peeking through her arms. She saw it again, slithering deeper into the darkness.
"No," said James, confused. He frowned and splayed his hand on the rock. "Do you want me to feel for it?" he asked.
James looked at Raven with concern. "You sure? 'Cuz if it has substance, even if I can't see it I should be able to feel it through the ground. That is," he amended, "if it's touching the ground."
"Oh," said James, touched. He hadn't thought of that. "If you really don't want me to..." he lifted his hand from the ground and put it in his lap.
Raven looked at him and said,"I'm sure." After taking a few breathes she asked him,"So, how did you sleep?"
((...Poppy is still snoring on the ground. No, I'm kidding she doesn't snore. But I just thought I'd clarify that she's still asleep and still the least magical and still alive and still...Yeah, so anyways. You two have fun. Flirt. Whatever. And, no, Poppy is not going to have a creepy dream. Moowahaha. I ain't part of the system.))The inhabitants of the cave were suddenly interrupted by a rumbling noise. It was hard to tell where it came from. Poppy slowly woke to see the cave's roof fall in. She screamed.
((Dontcha wish you had my wonderful writing skillzzz. So lyrical and poetic and wonderfullzzz.... -shot- ))
Poppy crawled out of the rubble up. "What was that?" she whispered, trembling.((Poppy's so lame. But she's the stupidest of all of the characters so Imma wait for someone else to find Shay.))
((Flirt. Totally. And you realize Raven and James are sitting on the roof of the cave that just caved? Ah, well...nvm...James will be so freaked out...))
James suddenly felt the cave roof he and Raven were sitting on tremble. "What--" he started to say, but then the earth collapsed underneath him. James yelled and automatically caused a pillar of rock to shoot up and catch him. It got Raven, too, but it wasn't a very big pillar...James found himself squished up next to her high above the ground.
((Aw...so sweet...I think I might burst out laughing or barf.))
What? James looked down with surprise. There was a girl he had never seen before trapped underneath a large rock, struggling to get up. How many wierdo girls are going to show up around here? he thought, a little annoyed, but with a thought moved the rock off the girl. He also slowly lowered the pillar he and Raven were sitting on, scanning the ground below for any other people needing help.
"No problem," James said seriously, stepping off of his little rock pillar and extending a hand to help the girl up. "Who are you, and what are you doing here?"
Poppy poked her head up. She heard the words "Shay" and "spy."She shouted up to the boy...James. "Who is she?"
James looked past the spy-girl--Shay--to Poppy with concern. "Poppy? You okay?" he asked, clambering over the large rocks and other rubble to solid ground. He kept a tight hold on Shay's arm--if she was a spy, then there was no way he was going to lose track of her.
Raven looked at the new person, and then at the rubble. She had to figure out how that had happened. She stood up, ignoring the new girl, and then carefully walked across the rubble. She soon got to the end of the cave, and then saw it. Slime.
Raven scowled. D*** monster! She then saw the slime had a trail, and felt the urge to follow it. But then she remembered her dream, and knew it wasn't going to end well.
"But...it's too...easy," Raven muttered. Surely the monster would have at least thought of something to cover its tracks.
Raven sighed, and knew she could not rest until she had at least gotten to the end of the tracks. But then, it could be a trap...
Raven stared hard at the tracks, and nodded her head. Something just isn't right about this... She thought about taking James, or somebody with her, but she feared they would get hurt, so she turned, and began to follow the slime trail.
((Raven's such an idiot...))
James released Shay's arm and stepped back, but not before he caused the earth around her feet to surge up and anchor her to the ground. James folded his arms and glared at Shay. "Spying. For who?" ((Yeah, he has no idea Raven's gone...))
(((AGH, JERK!!!!!!!!!!))
Raven knew James would at some point notice to was gone, so she climbed a tree, and then used her amazing gymnastic abilities to be able to balance on the branches as she ran across them, following the trail of slime.
"No one i just saw you guys POOF a white bear(shay) was trying to get the rock off. POOF It was Shay again "o.k im chanied."
Marina had just witnessed the entire horrific scene and was now quite terrified. Happy she had not yet reached the cave, Marina had scampered up a nearby tree in terror. Soon she found herself next to Raven who, apparently, was quite skilled where gymnastics was concerned.
Raven ran past Marina, faster than ever, and was instantly gone from eyesight. She continued to follow the slime trail.
((I'm sad... Raven didn't even take notice of Marina.))Alone once more, Marina decided she should go help the others, maybe even report Raven's absence. Oh well, thought Marina as she lowered herself from the tree branch. Making her way over to James, Poppy, and Shay, Marina caught sight of a strange shadow in the distance. Then, a rustle of leaves a few yards behind it. Instinctively, Marina knew that Raven was causing the rustle. Why would she want to meet that thing? Marina wondered.
Once again turing her attention to those that almost got crushed, Marina asked if they needed any help. (James seemed to be helping Poppy and Shay, but no one seemed to be caring for him...)
