The machine finally was turned on, and the tubes came to life, beginning to suck out the magic from her. The pain was overwhelming. She cried out again, making a noise that could be heard through out the whole building, that was filled with pure hatred, sadness, and torture.

[Nichole.]

Shay climbd up and folwed Ravens scream

Then it went silent. Deadly silent. The machine stopped, and the tubes were taken out of her arms.

[Nichole.]

All sounds stopped. For a secand she wished she was back laying nexrt to Tomaus.She pushed that idea away fast.Shay was lost.

Raven was breathing slowly and shallowly. She looked like death. The scientists rushed over to her, and moved her to a different bed for tests.

Thomas woke up slowly. He was concious of a throbbing headache and an intense pain in his right arm. He groaned and opened his eyes. What had woken him up? Oh yeah, a girl's scream. Thomas opened his eyes fully and looked around.

He was chained to the wall by his hands. The manacles on his wrist were also attatched to similar manacles on Shay, who was leaning up against him. Thomas tried to move a bit and found that he couldn't. Great, he thought sourly. Chained to a wall and stuck with an annoying girl who thinks I'm a prissy. Can my life get any worse?

The pain in his arm suddenly increased and Thomas almost yelled. He glanced down at his arm and sucked in a breath. Of course it can. The skin on his arm was bulging in a certain spot, and when Thomas touched it, he nearly passed out.

I've read about this before, he thought dazedly. I've got a chip sewn under my skin. I've got a freakin' chip in my arm! What the f***? But what is it for?

((Yeah, Thomas's thoughts are pretty much "F*** my life" right now. Any guesses on what the chip does?))

Shay woke up. Shay looked around and saw Tomaus was awake!"Your awake."Shay said trilled."I thouught you were dead!"Shay was smiling like a idoit "Random but whats your power?" She asked sarced

They worked frantically to check her vitals, make sure she was in healthy condition for the time being, and then checked the computers newfound data. "Oh my god," one of them muttered as they scanned it with their eyes. They then looked back at the unconscious girl on the bed, and then back at the computer. "This can't be...her magic is regenerating to massive levels at such an alarming speed..."

((Whoa...anyway...need to get James back in the story))

"Well, I'm not, obviously..." Thomas looked over at Shay, who looked strangely happy. I thought she hated me. "Well..." he said slowly, "...I can control air...and wind..." He looked at Shay. "What's yours?" At that instant the chip in his arm sent another stabbing pain up his arm. Thomas winced, and suddenly thought, The drug's worn off. I can use my powers!
((Okay, Shay, pay close attention -- the chip in Thomas's arm is a device that disables people's magical abilities. Thomas and anyone within a five-foot radius of him can't do magic. Unfortunately, that includes Shay.))

James looked at where Marina was pointing and scowled. He could feel it through the ground, like he had before, but this time its sick power didn't affect him. "Stupid, evil, mother-f****** creature of s***!" he exclaimed under his breath as he ran over to it. James concentrated manipulating the ground around the shadow creature, his fury giving him strength. When he glimpsed the creature, he immediately formed walls around it to prevent it from escaping. "Slimy, evil, thing," he muttered, brow furrowed and concentrating.

The monster screeched, it's loud plea long and full of hatred. It began to struggle.

The scientist's oohed and aahed for a few minutes before sending Raven back into the room Thomas and Shay were being held. The guard who escorted the limp girl threw her harshly into a corner, and then proceeded to chain her to the wall.

James gasped. The evil creature was slipping through the dirt! "Not if I can help it," he growled, and with a single thought made the dirt solid.

The monster screamed again, and thrashed around.

[Nichole.]

Shaay noctied the gards "HEY YOU LOSER LET ME DOWN!!" Shay screamed at them.

The guard smirked, and then left the room, locking the door. Raven was silent in her corner, and didn't seem to be breathing.

[Nichole.]

"Raven....Raven!"Shay yelled trying to break free

[Nichole.]

Shay was still trying to get her chain off when she stoped and looked down andwispered "Sorry"

Raven didn't hear her. She was still unconscious, and everything hurt to her. She had never felt so...helpless. She had always been the one to protect everyone else, but now she needed to be protected.

[Nichole.]

"Raven Raven" Shay yelled then looked at the ground and saw she was Raven. "Ahhhhhh" Shay yelled then she was shay AGAIN. ((LOL the shot does the exact oppsite it makes my powe storger for a short time:D))

Raven whimpered, slowly opening her eyes. She stopped moving, for every breath she took felt like getting stabbed in the back.

[Nichole.]

"Ummmmm Raven are you ok?" Shay said hopeing she was and she dint look like her. She did.

[Frankie]

Having seen the monster begin to slip through the ground, when, suddenly, it was thrashing around above ground, Marina knew that James could control the ground. Marina decided that, for now, it was best to leave the monster alone. Right now it was occupied with what appeared to be a normal ground. Only this one, was impossible to go through. Staring with awe at the look of fierce concentration in James's face, Marina remained stationary.

Raven finally caught hold of what was going on, and instantly felt her arms for wounds, only to feel the soft material of bandages. She felt her legs, and noticed the same thing.

[Nichole.]

"James!" Shay tryed and then she looked like him! "Raven WHATS WRONG WHITH ME?" Shay yelled forgating that Raven was blind

Raven tried to speak, but all that came out was,"....Shay..."

[Nichole.]

"Gosh im sarced of hights HELP!!!" Shay wispered looking down

The door to Thomas's cell burst open and guards strode into the room. They roughly grabbed Thomas and unchained him from the wall. Thomas grit his teeth and fiercely tried to manipulate the air.

Nothing happened.

The guards grasped Thomas underneath his arms and hoisted him upright, then carried him out into the hall. Thomas tried to fight them but the chip in his arm chose that moment to send another stabbing pain that seemed to pierce Thomas through his skull. He winced and barely heard the guards holding him talking.

"Where does the boss want him?" one of them asked.
"Mr. Perkn wants 'im in the interrogation room," the other answered. Thomas furrowed his brow. Interrogation room. That did not sound good. But now he had a name for his captor...Perkn.

The monster screamed and started to dissipate. James gasped and yelled, "Quick, Marina! Give me something metal!! Now!!"

Raven heard the guards come in and then heard the name,"Mr.Perkn." She at least now knew who had kidnapped her and Thomas. She vowed silently she'd kill him once she got better.

[Frankie]

Marina looked around frantically, and, finding nothing, ripped off her treasured pearl earring which was encased in 14 carat gold. Marina deeply treasured pearls, as they came from the sea itself, but she figured she should not be selfish. Knowing that she could get herself another pearl anytime, Marina hesitantly handed James the earring.

James grabbed the earring Marina gave him and flicked the pearl out with one finger. "Catch!" Then he squished the gold between his fingers, molding it into a sort of hook. This he plunged into the disappearing creature, yelling, "Marina! Hold on to me!" Then he was sucked into suffocating darkness.

The guards carried Thomas down the hall and through a metal door into a plain white room. Roughly they shoved him into a hard metal chair and clamped his arms and ankles too it. Thomas struggled violently, but they succeeded in restraining him and finally put a metal clamp around his head. Then they left the room. Thomas tried to control the air again, but nothing happened. He grit his teeth and glared at the door, waiting for his captor to come in.

[Frankie]

Marina grasped desperately at the James's disappearing legs. Realizing that she would be unable to sustain his weight even if she did manage to catch hold of him, she did something drastic. Marina swallowed the pearl as sacrifice, and willed all the water inside her to wrap around James. She knew this would be enough to last for a day.

James focused on the golden hook connecting him to the monster. Take me to Raven, he thought fiercely. NOW. The darkness felt like thick, soupy liquid, searching for an opening too ooze down into James and kill him, but then he felt a cool, light water slide around him, protecting him. Marina.

[Frankie]

Exhausted, Marina urged the edges of her powers to put more water into her body. Half was consumed, Marina was dehydrating herself and needed the liquid. The other half was put into the whirlpool that was sustaining James. This is important. thought Marina. James is saving Raven. I will sustain him. Marina was very determined and stayed focused on the ring of water before her... that she had created.

[Nichole.]

Shay was sreaming in anger. She hoped the gards came for her just cause then they will feel sorry

Raven was motionless in the corner, breathing in sharp, painful breathes of air, her eyes closed, curled up in a ball. She was cold, and paler than normal. She looked dead, and she would've been better off if she was.

[Nichole.]

Shay was trying to break through the chains

The darkness shifted suddenly and James fell forward, the water splashing on the ground. "Where--" he started to say, then noticed Marina lying on the ground with her eyes closed. "Marina! Are you okay?" He cast an anxious glance at the high walls surrounding him, covered by barbed wire. "We have to get out of here."

[Nichole.]

Shay yelled hoping for gards to come for her

[Frankie]

Marina realized that her attempts had failed. Tears poured out of her eyes. Then, realizing that she needed all the water she could get, immediately willed them to become fresh drinking water which she swallowed.

"And how do you expect to do that?" Marina questioned James. Suddenly a thought sparked in her mind, "Wait, can't you control that... like manipulate the metal (barbed wire) and the stone in the walls?"

[Nichole.]

Shay yelled louder

"No, I mean we need to get away from here. Some guard or something will probably spot us soon. We should try to get inside that building." He looked down at Marina again. "Are you sure you're okay? Is there anything I can do? I can't run very well if I have to carry you." He threw in this last statement as a kind of joke, hoping to make Marina feel better.

[Nichole.]

Shay yelled at the top of her lungs sure the whole world could hear her

The door to the room Thomas was held captive in suddenly swung open. A large man with a ton of muscles walked in, then sat down accross from Thomas in a comfy-looking plush chair. "Hello, Thomas."

"What do you want?" Thomas snarled.

The big man -- it must be Perkn -- smiled. "I need you to do a couple of things for me."

[Nichole.]

Shay yelled even louder

Raven had heard Shay yell, but couldn't move without her head hurting even more than it already was. She couldn't see anything, couldn't move, definitely couldn't speak. What use was she?!

((Man, Raven is just piling it on hard.))

[Frankie]

"Nah, I'm fine," Marina said.

Soon the two were running down the corridor with high stone walls. With all thoughts of escape soon disappearing from Marina's mind, Marina entered a damp building with James at her side.

Marina stifled a sigh of relief as she felt dark magic emanating from the walls. There must be a monster in here, somewhere she thought, Or worse: a trap.
