Sharon Michael | 674 comments Did not have a good day yesterday so broke down and got the Kindle version of The Buzzard Table by Margaret Maron which is one of the series I follow. I'd planned to wait for it from the library but needed an afternoon of guaranteed-good new book and lots of chocolate!

Jenny Hilborne (jfhilborne) | 21 comments I just finished Little Deadly Things by Harry Steinman. This is an interesting character driven techno-thriller. While sci-fi is not my cup of tea, I did find the plot quite intriguing.

aprilla I've just enjoyed listening to The Sex Club and Secrets to Die for, the first two books of a series featuring Wade Jackson. I'll read more of these, I love finding a new series to follow :)

Aprilla: I read both of those and loved them. LJ Sellers writes excellent mysteries. I have a couple more of hers on my Kindle.

Yes, I am delighted to find these. While the crimes are cruel nothing is over the top, unnecessary, and the characters are just... real. The narrator of the audiobooks is good too, not going into hysterics (lol) or otherwise colouring the story ;)

I haven't tried Audio yet. I plan to. I could see her books as movies.

I like this series also Sharon. Hope the book (and chocolates) made your day a little better.

message 8809: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Michael | 674 comments Chocolates and the book helped a lot. I'd held off a bit on this one because the last two of the series, especially last year's, set in New York, didn't appeal to me all that much.

Have to say this one is going to end up one of my favorites though. A bit more scope and more outsiders brought in, with a connection to international issues, but very interesting.

At the top of the page of the right hand side- click "newest" and it will send to the current page. If you are on tablet hit your menu button and it give you the option of viewing the newest post first. You will probably have to do that everytime.

message 8816: by Renee (new)

Renee (rys00) | 252 comments Hm, interesting. Could it be how you've got the list set to sort? By oldest first, or newest? Wouldn't it be great if it was that simple?

message 8817: by Renee (new)

Renee (rys00) | 252 comments You know that book that the library doesn't have and the local bookstores don't have and even Amazon and Powell's don't seem to have in stock? Is there any better feeling than finding it on the used book table or rack at your local grocery store where they're selling them at a dollar a piece for prostate cancer or MS?

NO. I dare say there is no better feeling. (Or not many, at any rate.)
