Did not have a good day yesterday so broke down and got the Kindle version of
which is one of the series I follow. I'd planned to wait for it from the library but needed an afternoon of guaranteed-good new book and lots of chocolate!
I just finished Little Deadly Things by Harry Steinman. This is an interesting character driven techno-thriller. While sci-fi is not my cup of tea, I did find the plot quite intriguing.
I've just enjoyed listening to The Sex Club and Secrets to Die for, the first two books of a series featuring Wade Jackson. I'll read more of these, I love finding a new series to follow :)

While the crimes are cruel nothing is over the top, unnecessary, and the characters are just... real. The narrator of the audiobooks is good too, not going into hysterics (lol) or otherwise colouring the story ;)

I haven't tried Audio yet. I plan to. I could see her books as movies.

Chocolates and the book helped a lot. I'd held off a bit on this one because the last two of the series, especially last year's, set in New York, didn't appeal to me all that much.Have to say this one is going to end up one of my favorites though. A bit more scope and more outsiders brought in, with a connection to international issues, but very interesting.

Good choice in reading Mankell.
I just finished The Burn Palace
. Be on the look out for this one. It was really good. I am currently reading
and
currently reading Stephen White. Just read Warning Signs which is excellent so now back at the start of the series with Privileged Information.

If you are on tablet hit your menu button and it give you the option of viewing the newest post first. You will probably have to do that everytime.
Hm, interesting. Could it be how you've got the list set to sort? By oldest first, or newest? Wouldn't it be great if it was that simple?
You know that book that the library doesn't have and the local bookstores don't have and even Amazon and Powell's don't seem to have in stock? Is there any better feeling than finding it on the used book table or rack at your local grocery store where they're selling them at a dollar a piece for prostate cancer or MS? NO. I dare say there is no better feeling. (Or not many, at any rate.)

I finished Four Blind Mice by James Patterson. It was just okay. I'm currently reading Taken by Robert Crais
Lisa Jackson Afraid to Die, this time of year I don't like to spend money on books if I don't have to, and thankfully the library had two on the shelves I haven't read yet, the one mentioned, and a James Patterson The 11th hour.

I love this series! Recently read The Pot Thief Who Studied Billie the Kid, and I was laughing before I finished the second page. Dry humor, for the most part.
Just finished Roseanna which I liked (still mulling over my review) and starting Heaven's Prisoners.
I finished The Night Strangers. .
. I liked the book very much but hated the ending.Starting Defending Jacob tonight.
Looking forward to it.
thanks to some of you I cracked the code for getting my Kindle to sort thru to the current comments on this group..
started Privileged Information and find it slow going so far... but I had the same response to Warning Signs before I got totally hooked and CPID!

Tim wrote: "thanks to some of you I cracked the code for getting my Kindle to sort thru to the current comments on this group.."I have a kindle fire. How did you get it work? Do you have to adjust it every time? I usually use my computer to post, but sometimes I use my kindle. Just curious.
Just finished a nice little Christmas mystery, Tied Up In Tinsel by Ngaio Marsh. Starting an Inspector Lynley mystery next, Deception on His Mind, by Elizabeth George.

I'm reading it now as well. It's a lot like the earlier books in the series, light and funny.
