Excellent! I intended this challenge would run alongside other ones people are doing, sort of like an umbrella challenge for all your other reading challenges, group reads and any other reads! That's certainly how I use my Tagret Reads Challenge anyway!!!

You can either post up a list of what you plan to read in the month and update as you finish the books or just post how many you plan to read and add them as you do. Up to you really, however works best for you!
It's great to get involved in challenges, the more I do I find I want even more of them, hence the Target Reads challenge with is sort of an umbrella challenge! (have you checked out the cover art challenge?)
(I post up the ones I've decided on, eg for group reads and in other challenges (like the cover art challenge) and leave spaces for the other books to make it up to the total I set as my target - you can see my post for May in msg #15 - then edit for read dates)
Ok.. For the month of May I am going to try to read a minimum of 20 books. I usually read atleast 2 a day when im not working so I should be able to accomplish this.May 2010

Yes, just put up your target number of reads, a note that it's for May and either list them now and edit in when read or post up titles as you go - scan up the thread, there are serveral way people do this, see which works for you!

LOL.. Thanks.. but I have like.. absolutly no life but working and reading..lol.. but as my old people at the nursing home say.. books are better than drugs..lol..
I think that we have ALL done a wonderful job in our target reads and there is such a vast variety of books that we read to the point that I keep adding to my TBR list every couple of days..lol...

The great thing about this challenge is that you pick how many you want to read yourself to suit you, be it 1 or 30 books in a month. If you meet your target excellent , if not what the hell you read some great books on the way!!!!
I read 5 in May too, having set myself a target of 10 and picking out 6 of them to read (New Moon is still on my TBR). I fell way way way short!! I've set a target of 8 for June but think I need to revise it down to 6 as I think I'm shoting too high, I get carried away when I see others reading 10 or 15 and think I can do it too - I can not, I read too slow.

How Post you target number at the start of the month, edit in each book as you read it (list at start it you prefer!)
This one is really simple, easily runs along side other challenges and can incorporate group reads too. If this works well it can be a rolling challenge!
For a period of a month (or three months) set yourself a target number of books to read. Post up your month and target, then keep us all updated on how you do. Post all of your books at the start of the month or as you go, either works!
