She's wonderful isn't she?
Which is your favorite of hers?
Mine is Ella Enchanted, personally.

message 1902: by Diana (new)

Diana I just finished Between Shades of Gray and it was amazing!

I love all of GCL's books. Have you read A Tale of Two Castles yet?

message 1904: by Skyler (new)

Skyler (skyler13) I'm currently reading Beach Blondes June Dreams, July's Promise, August Magic (Summer) by Katherine Applegate
Beach Blondes! It's really good so far :3

message 1905: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) I just finished Monsters of Men, Entwined, and have set aside So Silver Bright.

I have All These Things I've Done and I'm really liking it, but for some reason I really, REALLY want to read that QUEENS THIEF series by Megan Whalen Turner. Problem is, I don't have them!

I've never heard of it. Is it good? Is it one of her shorter princess stories, or an actual novel like Ella Enchanted or Fairest?

message 1907: by Miss Amelia (new)

Miss Amelia (missameliatxva) TWO PRINCESS OF BAMARRE was cute!

message 1908: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I haven't read it yet. And it just came out back in June. It's a full novel like Ella and Fairest and Two Princesses.

My favorite GCL was either Ella Enchanted of Two Princesses

message 1909: by Narjes (new)

Narjes Alnemer (joojos) | 3 comments i want to finish the percy jackson series what do you think of it guys?
i read the sea of monsters and the titan's curse
i didn't read the first because i saw the movie

message 1910: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Two Princesses wasn't quite as good as I remembered. I don't know why. I still love it, but not as much as Ella Enchanted.
I'll see if I can get a hold of Two Castles.

You need to read the first as well as finish the series. The movie literally had almost nothing to do with the book.

Yeah, I need to see if I can get ahold of it too. My birthday's Wednesday...hmm....maybe I can talk them into getting it for me......
And I know what you mean about Two Princesses, it's the same for me. And Fairest also. I just am not as big of a fan of Fairest as I once was.

message 1913: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I've never really liked Fairest.
Ella Enchanted was pure genius though.

message 1914: by Peter (new)

Peter | 3 comments I just read The Eye of The Crystal Ball and I have to say it is the best book I have read all year! You should really try it, it was amazing.

message 1915: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Happy early birthday Rae. :)

Reading The Locket and Why We Broke Up. Both really good so far.

message 1916: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Thanks, Natalie!

I need a new copy of EE. One, I can't find mine; two, it's all beat up (and 3- it has the movie cover which I'm not a huge fan of.)

message 1917: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Yeah, no problem. :)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments ^_^

message 1919: by Kate (new)

Kate | 8205 comments A Tale of Two Castles was good. I'd say my favorite is still Ella Enchanted, though. Did you read the Princess Tales? I really like those too.

message 1920: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid I read a couple of them. They were pretty cute.
Ella Enchanted is one of those rare books that just screams at you. It has absolutely everything in it.

message 1921: by SilverForrest (new)

SilverForrest | 183 comments i just finished Code Talkers. It's really well writen with a lot of WW2 facts. It's just kinda hard to get into it from just the begining though.

message 1922: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments That's good to know, Kate. :)
I read most of the Princess Tales, but i've never finished them.
EE really DOES. Magic, love, fairies, evil, mystery, adventure. It's just one of those perfect combinations.

message 1923: by James (new)

James (theadventurousbookreader) My name is James. The two books I am reading right now are Alanna: The First Adventure and Old Yeller.

message 1924: by Ingrid (new)

Ingrid Hey James!
I love Tamora Pierce!
Have you read any of her other things or just Alanna?

message 1925: by Rebekah Faith (new)

message 1928: by Samantha (new)

Samantha Coballes (samcoballes) i'm only on the first few pages of the book and i find it very exciting.

message 1929: by natalie (new)

natalie | 5047 comments Blood Red Road was really good.

message 1930: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa | 2 comments I just finished Looking for Alaska, I read it again after I finished it. It's truly one of the best books I've ever read, I think it's life changing. Some people disagree, but a lot of people are with me on this ^_^ I love it so much, I want to go and read it again, but I feel like I'm neglecting my other books LOL.

message 1931: by Katie (new)

I need to get around to reading that, too! The only John Green book I've read is Paper Towns (well, also Zombicorns if that counts :P), and I loved it.

Right now I'm reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in preparation for the movie, of course. :)

message 1937: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments But of course! I need to reread that, Swifty. Although its not like I don't already know just about every single detail about it- that's what I get for reading them over and over and over and over and over.......you get the point. ;)

message 1938: by hiatus (new)

hiatus I'm reading Cirque Du Freak and Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone.

message 1939: by Anajoy-rusticgirl (new)

Anajoy-rusticgirl | 15 comments Inkheart for the three hundredth time :)

Many Waters- Madeleine L'Engle (which I'm not enjoying very much)

and

Nightbirds on Nantucket- Joan Aiken

This is only my second time reading the last book, actually. >.< I know, I suck. So I've forgotten almost everything, because the last time I read it was when it came out like four years ago.

My friends want me to read Cirque Du Freak. And I love Inkheart, just not the rest of the series.

message 1941: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments WOw, last time i reread it (and the series) was in november before Part 1 came out.

message 1942: by Swiftfire (new)

Swiftfire | 72 comments Ha, I was completely lost during that movie. :) But I'll be prepared for this one!

message 1943: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Hahaha, I knew when everything was gonna happen- it was great.

message 1944: by Swiftfire (new)

Swiftfire | 72 comments Speaking of HP, this is happening. :P

message 1945: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments I totally was about to say that i was watching it. ;) Great minds think alike, Swifty. ^_^

message 1946: by Swiftfire (last edited Jul 07, 2011 10:05AM) (new)

Swiftfire | 72 comments Haha, totally! Unfortunately I have to leave in, like, an hour and a half. >.<

message 1947: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently reading: Nothing Pink by Mark Hardy

message 1948: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments that stinks. I had to stop watching it because the kid im babysitting wanted to go down ot the park- and i think it's over now, anyways.

message 1949: by Swiftfire (new)

Swiftfire | 72 comments I got to watch almost all of it, actually. (I had to be somewhere at 2 and I didn't leave until 1:50 so I could watch the last bit.) The speeches almost made me cry. :)

message 1950: by Rebekah Faith (new)

Rebekah Faith (musicalradiance) | 6788 comments Nice. I'm watching it right now, actually. It's the rebroadcast so I'm getting it all. I've seen the current part- David Yates is being interviewed right now.
