What books have you just bought or got from the library?

It got delivered this morning and I'm reading it already!

i preorder and bought yesterday.

Our library doesn't cater to the UF/PNR fan at all. The horror shelf has about 50 books which feature Stephen King, John Saul, Anne Rice, Dean Koontz etc. The only up to date books I've seen are
Living Dead in Dallas
A Kiss of Shadows (Meredith Gentry, #1)
Bloody Bones (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #5)
Devil May Cry

And I rented these same books out in 1998 when I was looking to try authors I saw on the Internet!I refuse to pay money to order every book I want to try so I don't bother with the library unless I'm looking for general fiction.

I did get a book in the post today which cheered me up: Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter by Seth Grahame-Smith

I just picked up The Reckoning by Kelley Armstrong and Fang, When the Wind Blows and The Lake House by James Patterson at the library.

I just bought No Rest for the Wicked and Wicked Deeds on a Winter's Night by Kresley Cole and Lover Mine by JR Ward.

I just pre-ordered Bree's novella by Stephanie Meyers.

I loved When the Wind Blowss by James Patterson, its a great book.

Well I am almost finished with it so I agree it was a great book!!!!!!!! I'm excited to start the Lake House. I know this is off of the PNR genre but speaking of James Patterson, has anyone read his young adult Maximum Ride series? It is fantastic!

Oh and I also got Dark Destiny by Christine Feehan and Hot Blooded (an anthology) from the library! So much to read and so little time!

Is that a good book? I have never read any of Seth Grahame-Smith's books. I've seen them at the store but haven't pick one up yet.

Tonia-I read Pride and Prejudice and Zombies by Seth Grahame-Smith and I liked it despite hating the Jane Austen version! I haven't read the one I just got yet Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter but I'll post on the group when I do. Must get on with my May group reads first! I'm WAY behind!

Has anyone read His Dark Kiss by Eve Silver? I got this book from a bookcrossing member in the post this morning and it looked quite good. Also got The Wolf King by Alice Borchardtwhich I think is book 3 so must find the others in the series.

Yesterday i got .
I checked One Foot In The Grave out of the library and my grandma very sweetly picked a copy up for me from Book-A-Million. We where in the same shopping center as BAM yesterday, and i just could not resist. I finished the first book today, and i just loved it. I will be checking out of the library hopefully sometime in the next few days, they had it on order for a week or so and it's now listed as being in processing. My name is at the very top of the hold que, so I'll get my hot little hands on it before anyone else at my library

I know! Mine has only recently started having much PNR and UF stuff - but that's a small town for you!!

For UF and PNR the libraries in the US seem to be miles ahead. Yes we are jealous over here in the UK!!

Ironically enough, I live in a small town. But my library's collection is pretty good, shoot sometimes i'm even surprised by what they have. My library has a pretty decent PNR/UF collection.

Lol! No, it didn't melt! I spent about £70 at Amazon which I think is pretty great for 16 books.

Whoops I forgot one, . I've been told its similar in style to The Smoke Thief, which I haven't read yet but I do own it.

Ooh there are some good ones here! I enjoyed [book:Kitty and the Midnight Hour|14461], Once Bitten, Twice Shy I haven't read Broken or Silver Borne yet but love both series! A quick Bite is on my tbr list for this month as I love Lynsay Sands.

All the first ones in series are completely new to me so crossing my fingers that Ill love em ^^
Never read anything by Lynsay Sands before but Ive heard good things!

haha. oh, i am. im getting it. its just all the bookstores around my area were out of the shifters series book 1-4 so i had to order them. i plan to pick up shift today, right now actually b/c class was cancelled.

i wanted to get it in the bookstore b/c i have a coupon!!! yah! hopefully ill read this series real soon!

I must admit, I was surprised that I actually enjoyed the first two books (Stray & Rogue) in this series. When I read the synopsis I was expecting to hate the heroine and her don't-need/want-to-be-part-of-the-pack mentality but as the books progressed Rachel Vincent pulled me in. I'm glad I gave them a chance. I cannot wait to pick up the 3rd book. I also want to read her Soul Screamers series.

where u type ur comment in theres a link/button thingy, "add book/author"....click it, type in the book or author select link or cover at the bottom and it will be added into ur comment..
