What books have you just bought or got from the library?
Finished
.Just made a trip to the Border's closing near me. UF and YA is 30% off and romance is 40% right now. Bought
and
. :)
Just bought and read e-books: Black Dog and Rebel Rose by Danielle Smith from Solstice Publishing, and Beauty and the Bastard by David Bridger from Liquid Silver Publishing. Also read short story The Oak King's Daughter by Emily Pikasso from Muse It Up Publishing. From the Library: Just got Sin Undone by Larissa Ione and To Tame a Highland Warrior by Karen Marie Moning.
The one thing that I find most dangerous about having an ereader is the fact that Amazon doesn't let you load things into your cart - instead, if you hit the button, you buy the book. I used to load my cart up and then go back and sort out what I wanted right away and what I could wait until later for. With this set up, the combination of poor impulse control and interesting book blurbs is becoming costly. :)Most recent purchases from Amazon:
Masques and Wolfsbane, Patricia Briggs
Running with the Pack, ed Ekaterina Sedia
Halfway to the Grave, Jeaniene Frost
Hellbore and Rue, ed Joselle Vanderhooft
The Gumshoe, The Witch and The Virtual Corpse, Keith Hartman
Shadow Point, Amy Briant
Blood Ring, Faith Hunter
Sharp Objects and Dark Places, Gillian Flynn
Impulse buy at Walmart - The Gargoyle, Andrew Davidson
Bought Along Came a Spiderand Obsidian Butterfly last night at Half Price Books... had 40% off coupon ... going again tonight (wink wink ... another 40% off coupon) ... I am such a book addict and I refuse to seek treatment!
I loved
that much I bought it twice by accident LOL The film is not very good though, not as good as the book.
I went back to buy Kiss of Crimson at the used book store .. and someone else bought it ... Going again tomorrow.. have a 50% off coupon ....Looking for Catching Fire or Kiss of Crimson .. .maybe it just got lost for a bit ...LOL
I recently renewed my library card and now i can start reading all of the classics i used to ignore. I saw the preview for the movie Jane Enyre and it looked like it would be a good, so i decided to take that book out along Wuthering Heights.
I bought a few with this month's payday:
Some are re-reads though as I have them in dead tree books, but I want them on my Kindle as well.
I just bought:Lover Mine - J.R. Ward
Drink of Me - Jacquelyn Frank
Devoured by Darkness- Alexandra Ivy
Elizabeth: The Struggle for the Throne - David Starkey
OK ... we will be eating beans and spaghetti for the next two weeks but I hit paydirt at the half price book store:Bloody Valentine; Lover Avenged;Cerulean Sins;Incubus Dreams;Beyond the Highland Mist; and Knight of Darkness
Then used by 30% off coupon at Barnes & Noble and got Invincible and Storm Born

I just got The Midnighter's book two and three by Scott Westerfeld. I've been waiting forever for them! Blue Noon Touching Darkness
My latest from the library is about fifth century BC Greek epigrams. How's that for thrilling! ;) Alas it's keeping me from reading fiction. Or at least it's supposed to be.
I'm finishing The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman that I got on autodisc (he's reading it!) from the library yesterday. Then tomorrow I'm picking up Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution by Michelle Moran and Side Jobs: Stories From the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher from the library as I return The Graveyard book and Cleopatra: A Life by Stacy Schiff.
I'm finishing up one book and looking for the next. Considering Isaac Marion's 'Warm Bodies'. Anyone read it?
