The people who write comments on other people's reviews are almost always really boring or trying to be funny but aren't.

Many people on Goodreads are boring and unfunny.

I am sad.

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

Let's line them all up and shoot them.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | -6 comments Brendan, usually when I see an “I hate xxxx” post people usually talk about problems that are well… Impossiblee to solve. But I think yours have hope!! Click on my account (it’s right there on the top right of your explorer window) then click on delete my account (you’ll find it at the left bottom of your explorer…) follow the easy steps and that’s it =) problem solved… you won’t have to deal with our mediocrity…

Donald, if you feel the same just substitute where it says “Brendan” with “Donald” and again problem solved…

message 4: by [deleted user] (new)

Razzle-dazzle and panache are not funny.

I am sadder.

Oh, Alfonso. A proud but emotionally crushed warrior doesn't shrink from painful mediocrity. He complains about it. I thought that's what this group was FOR. Your slight defensiveness leads me to believe you yourself harbor some deep-down conviction that you, in fact, are boring and unfunny. And, sir, I do not like to forcibly change a man's deep-down convictions, so I shall join you in such conviction.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | -6 comments Seth, I just finish plugging the cables, I’ma start watching that movie now! Or die trying!

Brendan, later bitch!

message 7: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (tsorrels) Seth, I bow before your awesome, mystic self.

message 8: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (tsorrels) And, to answer your question, I personally wouldn't dabble in that type of thing.

One, I don't like the idea of hypnotizing myself. Who knows what kind of conversations I'd carry on with myself? It would be bad.

Two, I don't want to be talking to these "gods". I mean, if they are gods, I don't think I'm really worthy to be taking up their time. I imagine they might get annoyed if I called up and said, "Oh shit, you are real! No way!" Probably strike me dead with lightning or something.

And, three, I don't believe in that shit.

However, I would be tempted by the free CD too, Seth. That would push me straight in to "buy it" territory.

message 9: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (tsorrels) Are you trying to impersonate Nancy Drew?

And who is to say that these "friendly" ghosts won't just screw with you? Such as bringing you to a graveyard.

You are going to have to bribe their asses, Seth. Are you prepared to sacrifice your long-preserved celibacy to find these corpses? Because that might just be the price that they require.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | -6 comments Ok just stopping by… Seth, that sounds like an offer!! Quick say something cool!

message 11: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (tsorrels) Good to hear. I was worried.

The poltergeists will be so dispirited to hear that.

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

Is it me, or does Brendan sound a bit like Ignatius J. Reilly?

message 13: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) Gus, I think you're on to something there.

Brendan, do you happen to wear a wool hunting cap?

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

Do you refer to a woman in your life as "the Minx?"

message 15: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) watch that pylorus, dude.

message 16: by [deleted user] (new)

message 17: by Not Bill (new)

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | -6 comments Brendan, I remember you now, you that dude from the Zombie group who got mad at me for picking God to be at my side during a zombie outbreak!!! And you still quote your D&D crap!!! You haven’t change at all!!! How you been man??? Hug?? For all times sake?

message 19: by Asia (new)

Asia I don't know why but I like spirit photography. This is when you take pictures of something and when those pics ended up not to be what you wanted.

message 20: by Asia (last edited May 15, 2008 07:41PM) (new)

Asia Goodreads, I think is alittle boring but I meet really nice people on it though.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Some advice, Brendan: if you don't like the content, whether it's on GR or any other social-type website, there's always the real world.

Seriously, man, it's just the Internet. What more can you expect?

message 22: by 123 (new)

123 123 well, at least this place is unique.Isn't it?

message 23: by Asia (last edited May 18, 2008 07:39PM) (new)

Asia have anyone watched celebrity paranormal project? its really good and i wanna get those boards that speaks to ghosts. they're called yuji boards or somthin. pretty much everyone knows there's such things.

message 24: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell You mean Ouija boards.

message 25: by Lori (new)

Lori I'm never gonna mess with the spirits again. One night, in my mystical 20s, I decided to contact my spirit guide. Since I had recently read Mists of Avalon, I knew the power of water, and decided to immerse myself in a bath. Candles were lit. Lights were off. I opened my third eye. *cough cough* But instead of my spiritual guide, the flames started going nuts and I felt such evil closing in on me! I shot out of the bath so fast turning on every light in the apt and huddled under my blankets. If the bed frame had been high enough I probably would have hidden under it!

Of course, I could have imagined it, true but no more dinkering around with Ouija boards or spirits for me!

I'm sure Brendan is rolling his eyes at that one. Lighten up! If you're bored, why come back?

message 26: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Ouija boards are freaky. I don't play with them anymore.

message 27: by Asia (new)

Asia There's actually a Ouiji board in the computer. You just have to find it somewhere in the internet.

message 28: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Wow, the spirits can make it through your computer? Do you have to have broadband?

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I would think spirits spooking the shit out of you via dial-up would be something of a not-so-scary experience.

message 30: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Wait, I thought spirits powered the internetz. Isn't that how the information gets from my computer to everyone else's? Or is it carried by Santa, I always get these things confused.

Jackie "the Librarian" No, Charissa, the internets are a series of pneumatic tubes, populated with hamsters carrying messages in their pouches from one user to another.
Magic hamsters.

message 32: by Carlie (last edited May 19, 2008 03:36PM) (new)

Carlie I for one must say I dont find the Haters club boring at all. Seth had me at hello in the I hate penis thread. And, I found a 2nd mom.

And Seth, per my mom who does speak with "spirits" and such, "DOn't mess with that s***".

message 33: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (randymandy) Hee hee hee. Yous guys ares funnys.

message 34: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) <----- wants a giant hamster ball like the one Peter Gabriel had on tour a few years ago.

message 35: by Lori (new)

Lori Oh is that what it is. D'oh.

I've got enough hamsters running around one of those balls in my head. Round and round Chitter chitter they won't shut up!

message 36: by Asia (last edited May 19, 2008 09:41PM) (new)

Asia and i tried the game before and it said that you have to be 18 and older but anyways i tried it and i'm so reliefed that theres no spirits living in my house..... but idk if it actually works through your computer.

message 37: by Tracy (new)

Tracy wait, wasn't there a really awful american remake of a japanese horror movie a few years ago, where the ghosts that lived in the internet somehow got out into all the electronics and started killing people and then took over the world? i really can't for the life of me remember the title; all i really remember was that the post production guys had color corrected the whole damn movie within an inch of its life and everything was blue. and also that it was really bad, although sort of scary before you figured out where it was going.

message 38: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) Tracy, was it Pulse? That movie was awful! I can't believe I made it all the way to the end without hurling the remote at the TV in disgust. Red paint and duct tape will save us from the evil ghosts? Sounds like a Homeland Security memo...

message 39: by Carlie (new)

Carlie haha

message 40: by Lisa (new)

Lisa A common anime theme, actually. I'm thinking of Ghost In The Shell and Lain.

message 41: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) Mmmmm.... Lain. That series was the first that convinced me that anime could be taken to the level of an art form.

message 42: by Tracy (new)

Tracy yes logan! it was pulse!

hey, at least you waited to see it at home. i saw it in the theatre. because, generally speaking, i LOVE japanese horror movies and most of the american attempts to replicate them (the ring, the grudge, not so much grudge 2, etc). but yeah, that one almost ruined it for me. i haven't seen the american versions of the eye or one missed call yet, but the originals are great... anyone out there able to give me a heads up on whether or not they got ruined in the translation?

message 43: by Sally (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | -1 comments I have recently discovered the glory of Japanese cinema and Japanese literature.
