Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Almost finished with Iron Kissed (Mercedes Thompson, #3) by Patricia Briggs . Still in the middle of Angel's Rest (Eternity Springs, #1) by Emily March . Plan on getting to Loyalty in Death (In Death, #9) by J.D. Robb and I didn't read any In Death in January, and I have set a self-challenge of 24 of them this year (counting the in-between novellas).

message 853: by [deleted user] (new)

Currently reading Jacob as part of my re-read of the series in order to read the newest one. I have to do the same thing with J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood series in time for the release of Lover Reborn in March.

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments been attempting an organization of my ebooks (lol). So haven't being reading as much but reading An Unexpected Gentleman by Alissa Johnson and trying to read The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas and I checked out a few Sherrilyn Kenyon's books from the library to read. I may have to recheck them if I don't get to them ☺

message 855: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments Currently reading Visions of Heat (Psy-Changeling, #2) by Nalini Singh and not getting into it as much as everyone else. The villain is über creepy and I'm not even into regular creepy right now. **sigh** I really like the relationship between the H/h, though. Getting ready to start The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt for a "buddy read". Currently listening to - and almost finished with Barely A Bride (Free Fellows League, #1) by Rebecca Hagan Lee . Haven't gotten back to The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas - shame on me, LOL!

message 856: by Jenn (new)

Jenn (tellingmelies) I just finished Undead and Unreturnable (Undead, #4) by MaryJanice Davidson . Go me for not realizing it was in the middle of a series lol.

Just started Pretty A Novel by Jillian Lauren .

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Oh, yeah, I've not started on any of my "challenge" books that I thought I'd do yet either ☺ But all is not lost. I do a lot of my reading around 9pm when the family goes to bed.

Thanks, Megan. I watched over the weekend with my hubby and thought it was very well done. I think he was prepared to be bored, but ended up agreeing with about it being well done.

Oooo, great book -- great series too. Is this your first time reading Raven Prince, Lisa Kay?

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 671 comments Yesterday, I read the second story in Bad Boys Over Easy, The Cupid Curse by Jen Nicholas. It was a cute contemporary fantasy with a unique premise. Today I started the last of Cathy Yardley's Player's Club trilogy, Finn. I've been reading this series for review and very pleasantly surprised by how much I'm liking it. This one is off to a great start too which makes me a happy reader.:-)

message 862: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) I seem to read a lot more mysteries lately, but this week I'm on a bit of a romance jag. Read an older one Tuesday, The Duke Comes Home by Barbara Cartland, which I enjoyed, and am currently halfway through a rom suspense, Sea of Suspicion by Toni Anderson.

message 863: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl (cawils_99) Finished When Beauty Tamed the Beast (Fairy Tales, #2) by Eloisa James and now I'm starting The Secret (Highlands' Lairds #1) by Julie Garwood .

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments Reading Born of Ice (The League, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and then I will hopefull get started on a challenge read or get my behind reading The Count of Monte Cristo. Of course, my behind might have a problem reading but you know what I mean ☺

Heather L (wordtrix) Finished over the weekend: Sea of Suspicion and The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner. Currently reading Solid as Steele.

message 866: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I'm reading Scoundrel (The Blades of the Rose, #2) by Zoe Archer in paperback. Also listening to The Next Always (Inn BoonsBoro, #1) by Nora Roberts at home and have Deadly Fear (Deadly, #1) by Cynthia Eden in my iPod/Touch. I don't know when I'll get to The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas . I really should approach that as a "chapter a day" type deal. I am amazed at how much gets read when I do that. **sigh**

~Megan~ (megadee) I've finally succumbed to peer pressure, and am starting The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins . Will it live up to the hype?

message 869: by Pamela(AllHoney), Fairy Godmother (new)

Pamela(AllHoney) (pamelap) | 14527 comments haha. They had my 11 yr old daughter reading this at school. Definitely not children lit from what I've read of it. Good luck with it.

Heather (messybar) ~Megan~ wrote: "I've finally succumbed to peer pressure, and am starting The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins. Will it live up to the hype?"

OOOHHHHH!!! Hope you enjoy it. Loved it and it kicked off my obsession on Dystopian books. Loved Divergent more though, I think. lol

message 871: by Lina (new)

Lina It was my first dystopian and I loved it Megan. But if you've read a few by now, it might not have the same magic for you. I'd be interested to know what you think, please let us know when you're finished.

message 872: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) I finished it ladies....I was loving it ever so much until the end and the way Katniss treated Peeta. Just started #2, and I am finding it hard to deal with the love triangle. I know, I know...that's not what the story is about, but to my romantic self, it kinda is what the story is about LOL! Don't get me wrong, I love all the violence and political drama and the insanity of the world they live in, but...

I think that's why I loved Divergent so so much...no dreaded love triangle.

message 873: by Lina (new)

Lina Yep, I think you nailed it there Megan. I thought Divergent was a better Dystopian Romance, but I thought The Hunger Games was a better-written Dystopian. Not sure if that makes sense...

Heather (messybar) CaroB wrote: "Yep, I think you nailed it there Megan. I thought Divergent was a better Dystopian Romance, but I thought The Hunger Games was a better-written Dystopian. Not sure if that makes sense..."

That makes perfect sense to me. Couldn't say it better!!

message 875: by Heather L (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Megan: I'm glad you liked The Hunger Games. I love the entire trilogy, especially the first two books. The end of book two had me screaming in frustration, especially since I had to wait eight months for book three to come out--and then I was reluctant to start it because I didn't want the series to end.

Finished Solid as Steele and reached for another moldering in Mount TBR, I Love Bad Boys -- and anthology by Lori Foster, Janelle Denison and Donna Kauffman. I must have intended to read this at one time, as I found a bookmark tucked inside. Don't think I actually got round to it, though, as the first novella has not been familiar thus far.

message 876: by Lisa Kay, Tinker Bell (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 21897 comments I'm glad to get all this input about The Hunger Games Trilogy Boxset by Suzanne Collins . I think I'll wait on it a bit longer. Thanks, everyone! Is the series at an end now?

message 877: by Heather L (last edited Feb 15, 2012 08:52AM) (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) Lisa Kay: Yes, there are only three books to the series. The author does have another series, which I have not read: Gregor the Overlander Box Set.

Anna | 42 comments Hi,
I'm just popping in to recommend you How to Kill a Rock Star by Tiffanie DeBartolo . Awesome reading and I really think most of you would enjoy it.
I also long for a good western, or a book similar to my all-time-favorite Morning Glory. Any suggestions?

A recommendation from you, Anna, carries a lot of weight with me, so it's automatically gone on my "to-get" shelf!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 1922 comments I read the first page of Lover Reborn (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #10) by J.R. Ward . The first page had 1 word "Spring"

I'm so stressed about this book I couldn't bring myself to read more. Hopefully tonight. Geez

message 884: by Lori (new)

Lori Baldi I'm currently reading The Next Alwaysand can't say that I'm loving it. And the tough part is that it's part of a trilogy so if I stick with it I would have to slog through the next 2 books. I don't know what it is but Nora isn't doing it for me any more and I used to read everything she wrote. Time for me to move on, I think.
