LOL! You gals crack me up!:-)I just started Diana Gabaldon's Drums of Autumn this afternoon. Haven't gotten very far yet. It's going to be a loooong read for me, but hopefully a really good one.
It's Friday and the Mods are in stitches over dirty books. At least they are true to the group's name. This is a Happy Ever After.... Really.
You know, its really odd but I'm not actually reading a romance at the moment, I usually have at least one going! My work break time book is Nicevillewhich I won on the goodread giveaways.
I'm reading Little Womenat home because I haven't read it in a long time and I saw it on the library shelf and wanted to see if I enjoyed it as much as I did when I was younger.
I also have The Secret Scripturefor a monthly book read with another group.
And the last one is the book my daughter and I are reading together a chapter every night and that is Keys to the Demon Prison
Wow, I got a lot going on right now with my reading!
I loved Little Women. I read it as a teenager back in the 70s. I'm trying 2 at once sort of. I'm listening to Jane Eyre and reading along when I have quiet time here at home. When the family is around I have a paperback, The Bride Wore Scarlet.
I could get my earphones out and listen to Jane Eyre but I can still hear them. lol
Tues. I finished Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? by Kate Pearce. It was just OK for me.
Then yesterday I finished Lori Foster's anthology, Truth or Dare. Loved this one!
Now I'm back to working on Drums of Autumn.
I finally got around to reading Reforming Lord Ragsdale by Carla Kelly. I didn't know until recently that it was available now for the Kindle. Oh, what a love story! I was reaching for my kleenex just as Lord Ragsdale was handing his to Emma! sigh

"Oh, that's a good one for Father's Day.
Finished yesterday: Alpha & Omega: A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf and Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs. Currently reading: Iron Kissed, also by Patricia Briggs.
Heather L wrote: "Finished yesterday: Alpha & Omega: A Companion Novella to Cry Wolf and Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs."Man-oh-man! I LOVED those two, Heather L! Did you like them?
Reading Ashfall by Mike Mullin, a teen post-apocalyptic novel, for my bi-monthly SQ Magazine review. Since it has a sequel, I have a feeling it won't end on a happy note. That's spec fic for you.Next up is:
Better Than Catnip by one of my favorite sweet romance authors, Ruth J Hartman.
I'm still figuring out Goodreads, and wondering why I get messages for group to which I do not belong, but regardless, I wanted to join this one. I'm currently reading Midnight Sun, and am this terrific part. (no spoilers) that blew me away.
I hope this is on topic. If I am doing something wrong, feel free to steer me in the right direction.

Finished Iron Kissed while lazing in bed early this morning. The end of this one had me liking Ben more. I mean, he's still a mysogenistic jerk, but at least now we know why he's such a cynical 'arse'. Have switched to a cozy mystery, Bookplate Special, but will be back to the Mercy books as soon as it's finished.
I'm currently reading " Portrait of a lady", the events are quite cold.. so far im bored with it! i hope it goes well.. "Emma"'s events were slow but it is an amazing book!
I'm halfway through reading Smooth Talking Stranger. I think my expectations were too high because I'm not really feeling their chemistry as much as I want to. :(
I just finished Bared to You and was thoroughly UNimpressed. It's such a knockoff of the Fifty Shadees books, the only real difference is the writing in BtY is slightly better.

It's just a dirty book. So dirty it had even me blushing."
Really!
