My Review: So, here's the deal with this book. It didn't really feel like a cowboy story to me. The ranch is in Oregon, and while there's nothing wrong with that, it didn't feel like a western, not what one would expect from a cowboy story.

Grayson was a decent guy. Thoughtful, caring, considerate and devoted in his efforts to make their marriage work. Lauren, on the other hand, seemed selfish, immature and not at all someone I would have chosen for Grayson. Even from the beginning, not knowing either character well, I felt he deserved better.

The first half of Where Have All The Cowboys gone was nothing but sex, which is okay if that's what you're looking for. But I had actually gotten bored with it and I put it aside for a bit because when I read a story, I want there to be decent character development, intelligent storyline and a compelling reason for a tale to deserve pages in a novel. None of those things existed until the second half of the book. Again, tons of sex without a deep relationship with the characters is fine if that's what you're in the mood for, and sometimes I am.

The first half of the book took place in Las Vegas and on Grayson's ranch in Oregon. There was nothing to the story to really grab hold of. Nothing that made me care about Lauren and Grayson. What there was was page after page of explicit, 'non vanilla' (LOL I learned a new phrase) sex.

BUT, when Grayson had his turn going to San Francisco to spend the weekend with Lauren, that's when he and Lauren became people I cared about and people I could cheer for. Oh, and there was still lots of sex. :)

The secondary plot involving all the family intrigue and interference which took place in the second half of the book, made for a good read. It kept me wondering what would happen next and who was behind what wrong-doing.

This could have been a 4 star read had the first half been even remotely more interesting than

Loved it, loved it, loved it.

Enough reviewers have written the plot etc so I'm not going to repeat.
What I loved about this (and Roping the Wind) is Kates ability to write a less than emotionally "happy, strong, everything is wonderful in my life" character. Here, we have Grayson ( Kind considerate guy, son of Bully Beau and half brother to Jay) and Lauren (strong business woman but daughter of an emotional and violent bully, who has from the start drained his daughter of her own emotional strength in a bid to keep her under his control, like all children of emotional bullies of this kind (who offer gifts as a way to seek even more control over their victim and make them look kind and generous)Lauren seeks her fathers approval, seeks to please him and is ultimately scared to death of him!. They meet, whilst Lauren is tipsey from drinking too much champagne in solitary celebration of a business deal she has just clinched, they have sex , and then presumably as a backlash against her controlling parent she agrees to marry Grayson in one of those wonderful wedding chapels in LV:). Reality sets in and shes quick to do a runner. However not to be detered Grasyon sets about wooing her.

The plan is to get to know each other over two weekends, and ultimately this works, but only after alot of emotional baggage has been sorted out by Lauren, who eventually realizes that not all men are like her father (and Graysons for that matter).

There's quite alot going on the back stories too, with small town politics, infatuated teenagers and Laurens own business deals.

The between the sheeets (and other places) action is hotter than a Jalapino pepper:).

So if you like something with a bit of emotional soul searching that is also fiery hot to boot you may well enjoy this one:)

This is a sweet contemporary love story. There is just enough erotica to keep it interesting without overpowering the H/H relationship. The characters are well developed, and you want the H/H to have their HEA. Enjoyable read.

4 stars for the erotic. 3 stars for the story.

STORY BRIEF:
Lauren wants to be independent from her controlling father. She recently formed her own retro props business. She is in Las Vegas for business. After drinking too much champagne, she stumbles over a cowboy, Grayson. They have an incredible night of passion, including getting married. In the light of day, she flees. Grayson wants to give the marriage a try, and Lauren agrees to spend two weekends with him before getting a divorce.

REVIEWER’S OPINION:
Very good for erotic sex scenes. Romance lovers will enjoy Grayson being devoted to Lauren, needing her and wanting to take care of her. Lauren hesitates because she wants to prove her independence. There were some interesting developments and interesting characters. The weak parts of the story were Lauren’s actions. Lauren was not being sincere when Grayson visited her in San Francisco. Later, she got mad at him and wouldn’t discuss it. I disagreed with her silence because a little honest communication would have cleared things up. However, on balance the story was pretty good.

DATA:
Story length: 252 pages. Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: 14. Total number of sex scene pages: 40. Setting: current day Las Vegas, Oregon, San Francisco and New York. Copyright: 2007. Genre: erotic contemporary romance.

OTHER BOOKS:

3.85 Stars. There was a lot of good in this book. Like the first 60%. When they left the ranch, it went to crap a bit. Plus I have this thing - "smelt" is not smelled. Leant is not leaned and so forth. But the sex was hot! I loved the hero. The heroine was neurotic, but her Daddy made her that way. Seriously, who intimidates his daughter's date so that he, her Daddy can be her prom date? Weird!

Ther as a little FMF action at one point. The sex was hot.

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Triggers: cheating, manipulative parents, toxic relationships, domestic violence, misandry.

I wanted to love this novel, so bad, so badly.

But annoying characters (+ongoing assumptions), and endless s** scenes did not often solve the conflicts that could've been solved easily and led to a good HEA.

The guy tried too hard, the girl was constantly using him, and their assumptions put up so many roadblocks in their relationship that not even s** could save them. Or cowboy farms.

And neither did my constant leeways to them.

So this novel was horse shit. Sorry. But I know there are better works of Kate's than this. I believe so.

This is one of the most cliched books I've had the displeasure to read.

The woman gets married to a cowboy in Vegas after having sex with him for one night (they were NOT drunk.) I imagine this happens in Vegas on a regular basis but these two people are loaded, with two very controlling fathers and a LOT of issues about marriage and family. And they go and get married to a stranger? I don't think so.

It goes south from there. The guy invites her to his ranch - she wants a divorce, he wants them to give it a try - and the woman comes in her Channel suits and doesn't bring any appropriate clothing (no jeans, boots, shorts or what any normal woman would bring for a weekend at a ranch.) This is supposedly an intelligent woman, who has a business in FASHION.

Then the guy visits her in San Francisco where the woman reverts to being a teenager. Her and her friend pretend that she is a party animal for some reason which to me didn't make any sense and do so much crazy stuff that at some point the guy thinks she's crazy (yes, very romantic that you're acting so erratic that the hero thinks you're off your rocker.)

The book is full of cliches about country and city people and at the end, it turned into a business intrigue so ridiculous that I almost PIMP laughing.

Other thing that bothered me was the English spelling - favourite, leant, etc. - which as you can imagine, DID NOT go with a cowboy story. Usually this wouldn't have bothered me but it really took me out of the cowboy mood.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I've had Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? on my TBR list for quite some time. When I added it a few years back, I remember being fairly excited about it and thinking that I would probably enjoy it, but unfortunately, it was a rather lackluster read for me. The premise of two strangers meeting and marrying on a lark in Las Vegas, then having to get to know one another after the fact and determine whether the marriage is worth saving is a pretty unique one. However, from the opening pages, I had trouble suspending disbelief long enough to buy into the notion. I just never fully understood their motivations for saying, “I do.” I guess Grayson supposedly fell in love with Lauren at first sight, although I can't say that I sensed that emotion from him at the time. Lauren, it seems, was using it as a way to exert her independence from her controlling father, but she mentioned several times throughout the story that she didn't ever want to marry. Consequently, I couldn't figure out why she did it in the first place, as her reasoning seemed very contradictory to me. The couple also shared a night of wild sex, but I simply didn't feel anything passing between them that in my mind would lead to them suddenly thinking, "Hey, let's get married." At least it might have made some sense if they had been drunk, but they weren't.

At no point during the story did I dislike Grayson or Lauren, but I can't really say that they stood out to me either. I felt like both characters were rather underdeveloped. They both had “daddy issues,” which in my opinion, led to a little too much family dysfunction piled into one book. The way Lauren's father was constantly buying her clothes and sending people in to redecorate her apartment to his taste without her permission, not to mention his abusive and manipulative behavior toward Lauren and her mom, was just downright creepy. If I were her, I would have pulled up stakes and moved as far away from the guy as I possibly could. In my opinion, the man belonged in jail, but I can't even say that I got the satisfaction of a comeuppance for him. All I can say about Grayson's father is that he didn't seem to be abusive, but he sure was manipulative, in addition to acting like a sleazy Hugh Heffner wanna-be. With two dads like that, I can totally understand how Grayson and Lauren might have trust issues, but I didn't feel like the author brought out those emotions in a palpable way. Much like with the opening of the novel, I didn't fully grasp their motivations. The author chooses to reveal bits and pieces of their troubled pasts as the story progresses, probably as a way of building suspense. For me though, all it served to do was leave me feeling rather frustrated, because I didn't really get to know either of them very well until the story was already over. In this case, having at least some of their issues revealed earlier would have definitely added to my enjoyment of the story, because I would have understood what made them tick right from the start instead of spending the whole book asking questions.

In addition to not really feeling like I knew Grayson and Lauren as individuals, I began to tire of all their game-playing and keeping secrets from one another, essentially pretending to be someone they're not. They are supposed to be getting to know each other to determine whether they can make their marriage work for the long haul, but neither of them was being entirely honest. At least, Grayson didn't play games, but he did pretend to be an ordinary cowboy, hiding his status as a multi-millionaire from Lauren. I'll admit that he did have a semi-decent reason for not fully disclosing his wealth, wanting her to love him for himself and not his money, but it still led to a lot of trouble when their business deals overlaped and eventually led to Lauren thinking the worst of him, that he was just somehow in cahoots with her father. Lauren on the other hand was not only pretending to be someone she's not and trying to keep Grayson from finding out who her father was, but also when Grayson comes to visit her in San Francisco, she and her best friend play a ridiculous game trying to tempt him to cheat. It all just made me want to roll my eyes in exasperation at their childish behavior. I've never been a fan of this kind of game-playing in a relationship, because it just seems underhanded and silly. Not to mention, once the dishonesty starts, I don't know how anyone can know whether the other person is ever telling the truth. To me, honesty is quite simply always the best policy and makes things a whole lot easier in the long run.

Since this is an erotic romance, Grayson and Lauren, of course, spend a lot of time having wild sex, but in my opinion, the love scenes weren't always smooth and seamless. Sometimes, they go from one position to another with no transition details to explain how they got there. A couple of times, they were even contorted into a position that didn't seem possible, at least not as described, and I was totally pulled out of the scene while trying to figure it out. For an erotic romance, most of the love scenes were pretty short too. There isn't a whole lot of build-up either before or during the scenes, and then one or both of them climax really quickly, for the most part, leaving any sexual tension in the dust. I can maybe site two love scenes in the whole book that were fairly enjoyable and didn't leave me with a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am feeling.

Grayson and Lauren may have had good physical chemistry that supposedly led to great sex, but I cannot honestly say that I ever felt any emotional connection between them at all. In a romance novel, actually being able to sense the love building between the hero and heroine, and believe in it, is absolutely crucial to my full enjoyment of the story. There were times when I wasn't even sure why the two of them would want to stay together unless it was just for the sex. I will go so far as to say that Grayson expressed his love, in some ways, through his actions, which Lauren then saw and was impressed by, but obviously not enough to trust him. As a consequence, I didn't really know what Lauren was giving back to Grayson. One of the big reasons I never felt that all-important emotional connection between them is because there was just too much telling and not enough showing, although even the telling was sparse and took too long. The book also has a marked absence of body language and a shocking lack of feeling words, especially for a romance. It wasn't until the very end of the book that Grayson finally said, “I love you,” but to the best of my recollection, Lauren never did at any point. Both characters expressing their feelings is an absolute must for me to believe that they have a future together. As it is, the story had more of an HFN feel than an HEA, even though they were married for the whole book.

One last observation I had about the book is the British spellings of a number of words. I understand that the author herself is British (although she does live in the U.S.) and the novel was printed by a British publisher, but it takes place in the U.S., making these words seem very odd and out of place, particularly when used in dialog. It just didn't fit with the setting or cowboy theme.

Where Have All the Cowboys Gone? was my first read by Kate Pearce and the first in her Turner Brothers series. While it obviously didn't wow me, it wasn't exactly a bad book per se. I wasn't precisely bored with it, so I suppose I could characterize it as a worthwhile read. The premise and the overall story had potential. It just needed a lot more ingredients, particularly emotion and sexual tension, to really stand out as a great read. It was one of Kate Pearce's earlier works, so I can hope that she's grown as a writer since then. I might be open to continuing the series, although I'll have to admit that based on what little I saw of Grayson's brother, Jay, who is the hero of the next book Roping the Wind, he didn't really catch my fancy. Maybe I'll save it for a time when I'm in the mood to take a chance.

Note: This book contains explicit sexual content which may offend some readers, including light bondage, brief anal play with fingers, two females in a passionate clinch and a short scene of F/M/F action although no intercourse is involved.

It’s one thing to have a sexy one-night stand with a stranger. It’s something else to end up marrying him and running away the very next day, but that’s what Lauren Redstone does to Grayson Turner, the super sexy cowboy she meets in Vegas. Now six months later after lots of emails the couple have agreed to spend a weekend at the ranch & one in the city to work out where they go in the future.
I loved both Grayson & Lauren, he’s fallen hard for her but she's got issues, they find their weekend at the ranch to be romantic, calming & neither want it to end but then they meet in the city! Lauren decides to set tests for Grayson some of which had me laughing but they had her perplexed as he passed with flying colours, then they meet her parents. Both of them have secrets, especially Grayson & it isn’t helped by vindictive people & their fragile relationship comes under threat. How do they move forward? is the burning question. A lovely steamy read

You should never question a man's attractiveness to you he gets all pi**y, "he sat back and took a slug of coffee. "If you recall, Lauren, I was ready to jump into bed with you five seconds after you landed in my lap. Hell, what did you think you were sitting on? A baseball bat?" Grayson isn't afraid to ask for what he wants but he does it in a gentlemanly manner, "Grayson grabbed her hand and wrapped it around his shaft. "Something else would appreciate a woman's touch, if you've got the time." Lauren the girl knows how to divert a man's attentions, "Lauren caught a droplet of Grayson's sweat on her fingertip and followed it down his chest. He inhaled sharply as her nail skimmed the waistband of his jeans. "That's not playing fair," Grayson murmured. "I'm trying to have a serious conversation here." Grayson, that boy acts like a woman at times when his isn't giving him enough attention, "you are." He grabbed her elbows and toppled her over onto the bed. She squeaked when he slid his hands down from her waist and cupped her butt. "I'm beginning to think you've lost interest in me as a stud." It was morning. He was a man. He was alive. He dragged the covers out from between them and glanced down at his erection. "This guy's going to get a complex soon if you don't give him some attention." I loved reading about this cowboy and I can't wait to see what other books Kate has to offer.

Great read if...you enjoy books about cowboys, the country, big city life, big city lifestyles, humor, love, romance, hot sex, steamy sex, graphic sex, following your heart, making your own path, doing things your own way, plot twists, millionaire stories, alpha male, strong female characters, relationship problems, overcoming issues as a couple, deciding what matters most in life and a HEA!

Side Note: I'm always iffy about cowboy books. I'm from Texas. There's only so much stereotype a girl can deal with before enough is enough. However this was different and I was thankful. I REALLY enjoyed Grayson. He was sexy, appealing, with a good heart and the right intentions. I enjoyed his alpha male appeal, but how it wasn't so overbearing it became obnoxious. It was also nice NOT to read about a meek, fragile girl who was swept away by a cowboy. Strong female characters are awesome! Most importantly this story had humor as well as charm. CAUTION: The sex scenes were just steamy enough to make any lady wanna say yee-haw!

It was a pretty decent erotic romance considering it was originally published 5yrs ago. I did have have one major issue with a weird awkward sort of f/f/m ménage scene. I like a good ménage as much as the next kinky girl, but this scene seemed not only out of character for the H/H it also felt as though it was just added for the kink factor. Vanilla sex (yes) mild BDSM (yes) ...what am I missing? Oh I know, a little f/f/m action...I found it unnecessarily jarring.

I would say more like 2 1/2 stars. I hate giving a book such a low rating but all this book was sex, sex and sex. I loved erotica as much as the next person but it seems thats all they were doing in this book. I dont even know why he feel in love with the heroine, they never seemed to have a conversation just sex!!!

This is the second book in the Turner Brothers series. Oregon ranch owner and businessman Grayson Turner is in Las Vegas for the PBR rodeo. He is in a bar one night when Lauren Redstone literally trips over his foot, dumps a drink down his front, and lands in his lap. Lauren is in Vegas to secure a contract with the PBR for her company based in San Francisco. She is quietly celebrating with a few drinks when she stumbles onto Grayson. He invites her out to dinner and they stop by his hotel, so he can change his shirt. She invites herself up to his room while he changes and things quickly get heated. It is sometime later when they actually go out to dinner and then they meet an older couple who challenges Grayson to make an "honest woman" of Lauren. They end up in a Vegas wedding chapel and get married. Before the night is over, reality sets in for Lauren. She quietly leaves Grayson's hotel room while Grayson is still asleep and heads back to San Francisco.

Six months later, Grayson convinces Lauren to give their marriage a chance. She comes to Oregon to spend a weekend with him on his ranch and he is to go to San Francisco the following weekend to be with her. If things don't work out between them, they agree to get a divorce after the weekends together.

Both Grayson and Lauren came into their hasty marriage with lots of family baggage in the form of rich, domineering, and controlling fathers. It is interesting to see how this plays out in the story and adds to the plot. Grayson and Lauren are both kind and caring people who are trying to move past their trust issues, but in the meantime, they have a hot and steamy sexual relationship that is very satisfying for both of them. Grayson is hoping they can build a relationship on a deeper level if he can just get Lauren to trust him and her own instincts.

Thank you for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by Kate Pearce and the publisher via BookFunnel in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This one is going into my favorite books. It's a rerelease of her extremely steamy Turner Brother's series. The story has an interesting give and take between two strong individuals. Grayson Turner has a very healthy portfolio, although Lauren Redstone is unaware. Lauren is a former attorney desperately trying to be a successful businesswoman away from her controlling and bully father. Both of them have dominating fathers they want little or nothing to do with. It makes for an interesting story. It's set in the early 2000's and Google is not a thing yet. If it was this story would be over before it began.

Lauren Redstone has landed a big time PBR - Professional Bull Riders, commercial where she'll provide the sets and props through her Retro Girl company. She goes to a Vegas bar to celebrate and gets a little too tipsy landing in Grayson Turner's lap. They spend a very hot night together and in the morning she discovers they got married at some point the night before. She sneaks off without saying goodbye. We next catch up with them six months later when she and Grayson have agreed to spend one weekend at his Oregon horse ranch and he'll spend one weekend with her in San Francisco. At the end of the two weeks they will decide if they'll stay married.

Grayson Turner knows who Lauren is and who her daddy is. Lauren does not realize Grayson is the oldest son of former Cowboys' quarterback and oil man Beau Redstone. Grayson has finally pulled away and quit working with his dad. He has his own portfolio to manage as well as his horse ranch. He presents the good ole boy cowboy to Lauren and not the big time businessman the first weekend. She on the other hand tries to impress upon him how hectic her life is in the city and that she has no time for a husband. She wants to protect him from her father who's chased away every man she liked. When her Daddy gets involved the second weekend things get intense. I loved watching these two slowly work towards a life together with lots of steamy times in their two weekends together.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Lauren Redstone meets Grayson Turner in a bar in Las Vegas. It is an accidental meeting as she knocks his beer. They get chatting, and leave the bar to get something to eat.
Lauren wakes up the following morning in Grayson’s bed, and realises she made a terrible mistake. She takes off her ring and leaves Grayson’s room before he wakes up.
Grayson spends six months trying to woo Lauren, my email, into staying married to him. They make an arrangement, where they will both spend the weekend at each others home. Lauren travels to Oregon to spend time with Grayson on his ranch. They have a great weekend and Lauren says she will see him the following weekend in San Francisco.
While Grayson is staying with Lauren, things don’t go to plan. They have to go to Lauren’s parents for dinner, and then be at her mother’s birthday lunch on Sunday.
Grayson’s ex fiancé turns up and so does his father. There are conversations that are not true, and an argument between the two of them, has Grayson catching an earlier flight back home.
The pair later meet up in New York, where Grayson tells Lauren the truth about all that was said, and has paperwork to prove it all. He then walks out of her life.
Lauren decides to confront him again, and this time they get their HEA.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and would rate it 5 stars.

Kate Pearce brings us the next installment in the Turner Brothers series. This is the story of Laura Redstone who has gone to Las Vegas for work. After celebrating with champagne, she meets cowboy Grayson Turner. The morning brings her married to her cowboy and she flees the scene but not without leaving her contact information. Months later finds Laura meeting Grayson so he can convince her to stay married while Laura is determined to convince Grayson to get divorced. Who will win? After spending time together, who will convince who of changing their mind?

Kate Pearce brings us a story of strangers meeting, finding that spark, and then marrying them. The next morning brings up a myriad of feelings for Laura. They are both determined to convince the other and it is interesting to see how they each affect the other's life when they go in and visit with them. You want to see what they do next, and their spark and sexiness comes through on the written page straight to your imagination. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.

I read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank Kate Pearce for this privilege.

Grayson Turner the oldest of the many Turner’s, same dad different mothers. Has found peace on his horse stud ranch, but that soon changes when he goes to Las Vegas. A beautiful sexy women crashes into him at the casino and spilled beer down the front of his shirt. When she invites herself to his room so he can clean up, things get HOT!
Lauren is celebrating her big account she just landed with the PBR in Las Vegas. Maybe a little to much champagne on a empty stomach she decides to get something to eat, but on the way she collides with a handsome cowboy. Walking on the wild side she is suddenly throwing caution in the wind and winds up in bed with the sexy man. Not only that she marries him afterwards.
I did enjoy this story over the first in the series. There was a storyline, controlling dads, insecurities, learning to trust and steamy. Although why she added the scene with her BFF Ella didn’t make sense. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own, I rate it 3.5 stars. #WhereHaveAllTheCowboysGone

Cowboy Gentleman & the City Girl
…and “what happens in Vegas...” doesn’t necessarily stay in Vegas! Lauren’s one-night hook up with Grayson Turner ends up with a trip to the chapel & getting married! Nice ending to Lauren’s business trip right? Yeah, probably not. Six months later Lauren visits Grayson at his ranch in southern Oregon as part of the discussion on how to dissolve the quickie marriage. Despite outsider threats Lauren is trying to do what’s necessary for her & her new business, but her heart is really beating only for Grayson. Can they make this work? As agreed, Grayson & Lauren spend the next weekend in her City by the Bay and Lauren’s best friend Ella concocts a fail proof plan to see what Grayson is “really” like. Pretty hilarious and the plan backfires on Ella & Lauren. But with all the baggage Lauren & Grayson have and the outside forces poking and tearing at them, can they make it as a couple? Definitely don’t miss this follow up to Roping the Wind!

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

While this book is a part of a series, you don't have to read the prior one to fully understand this book.

This book is written in a dual POV format. Getting into the main characters' thoughts really help me to connect to them and enjoy the book more.

Grayson Turner and Lauren Redstone just happen to meet in Vegas. After a wild time, Gray and Lauren end up married. Lauren never planned on getting married. She is too busy building her business away from her overbearing father. They agree to spend one week at his ranch in Oregon and the following weekend in San Francisco where she lives.

Can these two seemingly different people overcome the many obstacles and hurdles to find their way to a HEA? Will Lauren's father do something despicable to Gray?

This is a very sexy read with multiple scenes.

I loved this! We were first introduced to Grayson in the first book (you should definitely read that one, too.). He was tired of working for his soul-less father and decided to take all his money and moved to a small town in Oregon to live out his secret dream. While in Vegas, he meets Lauren. A terrific meet cute, where she falls in his lap and spills a drink on him, sets sparks flying. Who knew it would lead to a quickie Vegas wedding?
Now they’re trying to get to know each other. While Gray tries to convince Lauren to stay married and Lauren struggles with her demons and tries to convince herself she doesn’t want to stay married.
Their story is packed full of steamy scenes and hopeless romance. I loved every minute and I can’t wait for more from the Turner brothers.
5 stars!!

Second book in this series set in 2006.
Lauren and Grayson have to live with the consequences of a single moment of recklessness. Grayson wants to prove to her their decision wasn’t so reckless after all and Lauren wants to prove to him they’re too different and that he would never fit in her hectic life and be subdued by her controlling father like herself.
Both of them withhold a lot from each other (an impossible feat in the era of google, but not impossible in 2006) and this leads to a few misunderstandings.
The only thing neither of them can’t deny is the chemistry but will it be enough to build a future together?
Original plot and fabulous characters, ms Pearce never writes a boring story.

I purchased a copy of the steamy novel Where Have All The Cowboys Gone a Rogue Romance by Kate Pearce and this review was given freely.
An ironic love at first sight novel with multifaceted characters, some small town angst and one steamy scene after the other. California Retro antique set designer Lauren goes to Las Vegas to obtain a contract for PBR commercials but a steamy carefree celebration results in her unwanted marriage to Oregon rancher Grayson which leads to a relationship complicated by distance, differences, a jealous ex, and an obsessive father. Not for everyone. Best if 18+. This novel contains some BDSM and almost any scene or combination you can imagine.

This is the second book in the Turner Brothers series. It can be read as a standalone but it is connected to the first book. If you've read book one you've already had an intro to Grayson. Grayson and Lauren end up married after an evening together in Vegas but she takes off early the next morning before Grayson wakes up. Grayson wants to give their marriage a chance but Lauren wants nothing to do with marriage and all its trappings. They're very hot together but they're both stubborn and Grayson has secrets. Super steamy one nightstand turned accidental marriage romance. I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.

Even though we're introduced to Grayson Turner and his back story in Book 1, this book stands fine on its own. While I enjoyed the first in the series, this one definitely has been my favorite so far.

Two strangers meet in Vegas, have an amazing connection, impulsively get married, and then the bride flees. Grayson chases her down and Lauren agrees to give it a couple weekends to see what happens. Grayson pulls out all the stops during their time together doing his best to prove to her they are meant to be.

This was a steam-filled, action-packed tale that had an interesting plot and a couple of overbearing fathers, which kept me engaged throughout. Highly recommend.

This is a really delightful and unusual book, so different from all the formulaic romance novels out there. The two main characters are well depicted and believable, and both are trying to find themselves independently of their meddling families. Kate has turned the “quick Vegas marriage” trope on its head here, and I found myself cheering them on as they struggled through the demons from their pasts, and came out the other side. They are two very different people in some ways, yet very alike in others. The story is tender, transformational and dramatic in turns, and very, very satisfying.

Loved this book. What happens in Vegas didn’t stay in Vegas for Grayson & Lauren. After she inadvertently spills his beer on him, they share a drink then decide to have dinner. When he goes to change his clothes first, she follows & before the night is done, they’re married. She freaks out & leaves the next morning. Several weeks later, they’ve agreed to 2 weekends together; he wants to prove they should stay married, she wants to prove they shouldn’t. You’ll love this book, but beware the sex scenes are pretty explicit & HOT!!!
I loved this book & look forward to the next.

So I'm kinda confused as I thot this was a new book series, but when I went & read some other reviews I noticed they were dated 2009 - forward.... It was an enjoyable read tho not as much on the ranch as I thot there would be in the story line. It was nice to see Lauren finally get her spine & independence on & stand up to her evil minded Father, with assistance from Grayson. Grayson was "swoon worthy" in his handling of Lauren, & it was nice to read their HEA.
