I understand. This was a little different than I had expected. Not glorified at all...

That means a lot to me, but I'd understand if it isn't your cuppa. *hugs*

Brave woman Melanie! Can't wait to see what you think....I've been putting it off because of the size!

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Lol, tell me about it:-D I think I'll read it over a couple days. I read 100p, and am now reading Riley (American Heroes) by Lori Foster .. Then I'll go back, read another batch, then another book, and so on until I'm finished:-D But it is very good so far!

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments I just finished All Night with a Rogue (Lords of Vice, #1) by Alexandra Hawkins and was kind of disappointed in it. Firstly, I didn't think the characters were built up enough, the sexual relationship that springs up between Sin and J seemed rushed, (view spoiler) and secondly, Sin was an ass! A shallow, undeserving a**, while Juliana was a weak miss who just fell into his arms.

Nonetheless, I didn't hate the book: I actually thought the plot had a lot of promise, and there were a few worthwile angsty moments I enjoyed.. so 2.5-3*, but I'm glad that for once I didn't go ahead and buy all AH's books!

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Starting Caine's Reckoning (Hell's Eight, #1) by Sarah McCarty .. I need a good book after the last couple mediocre ones! Well, no.. Beast Behaving Badly (Pride, #5) by Shelly Laurenston was fabulous, but I was expecting better from Trust Me on This by Jennifer Crusie Ice by Linda Howard Riley (Sensual Romance) by Lori Foster All Night with a Rogue (Lords of Vice, #1) by Alexandra Hawkins

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Melanie wrote: "So Dhes - What do you think of the Demonica series?:-D"

I enjoyed the first 2, but Wraith's story didn't do it for me. I liked it, but not as well as 1 and 2. I'm on 4 now and really loving Lore!!

message 3267: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments I think Lore was my fave:-D Glad you're liking him!

Xee (xeey) | 39 comments Starting Blood and Sex Volume 3 Blane by Angela Cameron ..It's the third and i think last book of the series , and while i enjoyed the second book Blood & Sex Jonas A Ravenous Romance by Angela Cameron , the first one Blood & Sex, Vol. 1 Michael by Angela Cameron was a bit of a disappointment..

I felt the same way about AH first book. I thought my book downloaded wrong because after the love scene it jumped like out of nowhere. I actually gave the book 2 stars. Book 2 is so much better than book one. I really enjoyed Reign's story and it seem like the author planned this book out much better. I haven't gotten book 3 yet, but I will.

message 3270: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 411 comments Oh, that's good news:-) I guess I might go ahead and buy the second if yoyu though it was good! Thanks for letting me know!

Finished Caine's Reckoning (Hell's Eight, #1) by Sarah McCarty which I gave 4* to: I understood Desi, but the romance seemed to go two steps forwards, one step back.. And I want to know what happens with the "big" villain!

Just finished Little Miss Innocent (Silhouette Desire, 1200) by Lori Foster , 3*, and starting Untouched by Anna Campbell which seems good (my first Anna Campbell, so I have high hopes!)

I agree.

I like when a book reads like a movie.

Anne Stuart is a writer at my own heart. I like when a writer can show what's going on in her stories and that's what I like to do.

Dani | 36 comments I am loving and i mean loving the lords of the underworld series... I just finished the Darkest pleasure and now moving onto the darkest whisper....I can't say enough about these men... the romance is so sweet and loving... the men are just so hot... and the overall battles and plots are great. I love the mythology and everything and how it all fits together...the darkest pleasure was great and excited to go out and cuddle up under the sun and start the next one. Have to say so far my favorites are Paris, Gideon, Strider, Aeron, Kane, Sabin, Maddox and Torin. Oh and who could forget William. I loved Reyes and Lucian too...
