Gemma (bookmoodreviews) | 241 comments FInally finished Shadowfever (Fever, #5) by Karen Marie Moning .

God it could have been edited to make it a tighter read.

Now on to Passion Unleashed (Demonica, #3) by Larissa Ione

message 2718: by ~Jennifer~ (new)

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Finished How To Marry a Millionaire Vampire (Love at Stake, #1) by Kerrelyn Sparks Vamps and the City (Love at Stake, #2) by Kerrelyn Sparks River Marked (Mercedes Thompson #6) by Patricia Briggs & Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #1) by Sherrilyn Kenyon .

The Love at Stake series is pretty good. You can't go wrong where there are Scots wearing kilts. Right?

River Marked was good. I needed more Adam though. There was not enough Adam. I say that at after every book, though.

I'm enjoying the Dark-Hunter series. Here's hoping they have them ALL on ebook now. The last time I went looking for them they were missing a few. Probably going to start the next one tonight if this migraine goes away.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments Megan wrote: "Nope, it's definitely not...the cover is extremely misleading."

That is the exact reason I have been avoiding those books. I see a lot of people reading them, but the cover turns me off so much that I can't bring myself to even give them a try.

message 2727: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) | 1084 comments Mod
I was a little turned off by it as well...it is lighter than your average UF, but the cover still doesn't reflect the story. My aunt recommended them to me so highly, I had to give them a try. I'm not sure what they were thinking with those strange covers.

So glad I popped in to see your post...I forgot all about Live Wire (Elite Ops, #6) by Lora Leigh coming out. Would have ignored the book section tonight when I went to TARGET! (really trying to get a handle on my book splurges). But, because of your post Amanda, I felt justified NOT to ignore the book section because I KNEW if I didn't pick it up tonight, all of the editions would be gone tomorrow, and I would be WEEPING :)

message 2735: by ~Jennifer~ (new)

~Jennifer~ (book_addiction) Trying to get through Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire ..it's just not doing it for me tonight.
So now I'm picking up Sweet Lullaby by Lorraine Heath .

message 2736: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments Glad that I could help Sharon! :)

I think I'll start in on Live Wire (Elite Ops, #6) by Lora Leigh tonight - I've been waiting for Jordan and Tehya's book for forever it seems like. It's been so obvious that they would end up together since she was introduced as part of the team. Hopefully the long anticipation won't ruin the book for me!

message 2737: by Sharon (new)

Sharon (sharjonm) I'm going to curl up with Alexa by Maggie Osborne tonight. Can't wait.

Now reading
Extreme Danger (McClouds & Friends, #5) by Shannon McKenna which I'm really excited about! I have been needing a McCloud fix for awhile... I might just need to re-read Seth's story...

Ren, I was pleasantly surprised at how Ms. Clare took characters in professions I really disliked, and wrote them so that I loved them as people. I liked the action and the suspense. I'm not huge on mainstream contemporary, but I liked it a lot. It's on the borderline erotic side (which isn't my favorite), but it was very tasteful and sexy and romantic.

message 2743: by Roxie (new)

Roxie (genesleuth) | 2 comments I just finished Comfort Object by Annabel Joseph (probably not for most in here) and am trying to write a review for it. :( Tomorrow I'll buy/read Wilder's Mate (Bloodhounds, #1) by Moira Rogers

message 2744: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (kittiescardigansbooks) | 207 comments I agree with you completely Danielle about the I-Team books. I have never liked reporter characters in anything (books, movies, tv) - for some reason they just annoy me. I think because they are generally portrayed as back-stabbers, and do anything (or anyone) for the story. But the I-Team series made me do a complete 180!

You'll love those books Ren! Have fun reading!

message 2745: by ~ Becs ~ (new)

I agree, Danielle. They usually annoy me to but Pamela Clare is such a great writer she, as you say above, wrote them as people we could love. I just finished Hard Evidence last night and ordered the other 3 this morning. Although, have to wait until May for the newest one.
