And I loved both Sarah Addison Allen books!!"

Did you read Garden Spells Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen ? I loved that one too.

Malcolm is usually such a wussy name that I was surprised Roberts chose it for her bad boy. Nice contrast.

I forgot that I also read another good one last night:

Christmas Eve at Friday Harbor (Friday Harbor, #1) by Lisa Kleypas

Yep, Garden Spells was my first by her, and it was a one-sitting read for me. I love the way she writes!

The fact that they called him Mal was also disconcerting, but I forgot all about it when he slammed her up against the door LOL!

When he dragged her into the utility closet I had to fan myself.

Just finished Montana Glory by R.C. Ryan by R.C. Ryan who is also Ruth Ryan Langan. She's no Roberts, but it was still enjoyable.

message 1804: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. Finished Royal Destiny (Queen of the Orcs, #3) by Morgan Howell , loved it. Now reading Murder on the Links, The by Agatha Christie .

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Reading Play of Passion (Psy-Changeling, #9) by Nalini Singh and love it so far. It's a great story of what happens when a dangerous hero goes after a dangerous heroine.

The heroine is dangerous too Mollie?

For those who follow the series, the heroine is one of the pack leader's Lieutenants while the hero has a lesser position, though still a dominant one, in the pack. The heroine has an aunt who is just as dominant as she is, but who is trapped in a poisonous dysfunctional relationship with a lesser male whose insecurites demand that she act submissive, going against her wolf's instincts. Indigo fears that any fella she hooks up with who is not higher in the pack heirarchy than she would do the same to her. It makes for an interesting story line.

Play of Passion turned out to be my favorite of the series so far! I was talking with my friend about Drew, and the only word I can think of to describe him is PERFECT.

Darcy (sunnytat462) | 704 comments I am in the middle of Indulgence in Death (In Death, #31) by J.D. Robb , you gotta love Roarke!! Then will move on to Jared (Shadow Wranglers, #2) by Sarah McCarty , which I hope is better than the first in the series.

Mollie *scoutrmom* (scoutrmom) | 635 comments Arch wrote: "Oh okay Mollie. Thanks. The stories are about shape shifters, right?"

Yes, they are, with plenty of cerebral 'psy' and humans mixed in. I think perhaps there might be too much explicit sex for your tastes, Arch, though these are marketed as mainstream romance and not erotic romance.

Try Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changeling, #1) by Nalini Singh and see what you think.

I finished Play of Passion (Psy-Changeling, #9) by Nalini Singh and just posted my review. It was very good.

@ Mheghan, I love that Miller series. I've no willpower whatsoever with her work, I keep buying them brand new.

@ Darcy, I agree with you that the first of Sara McCarty's Shadow Wranglers wasn't all that great. I got tired of Eve and Roarke after the first four books, as I'm not a fan of police procedural mysteries, they began to bore me.

These are a lot more like futuristic sci fi than like the vampire stories we see too much of. There is a newer genre called "magical realism" which is more like the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". Would you be interested in reading something like that?

I'm currently reading Dark Fire (Carpathians, #6) by Christine Feehan

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish That's another series I own but haven't read, Courtney!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I'm reading Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer . So far it reminds me of Indiana Jones.

I'm loving it so far! The first one has kind of a rough start but once you get about halfway through and get attached to the characters all you want is more!! The "romantic" scenes are written quite graphically but they're tons of fun! ;)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Thanks!

I enjoyed her Princes Trilogy and I've heard this is better.

It's my favorite in the Cynster series, although I have pretty much liked all of them (I've read most of them so far). I also really am looking forward to the 2nd KGI book. I thought the first was a great start to a new series.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish I'm reading Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer and Huntley is definitely a dangerous hero!

So far, so good! I'll probably pick up the next KGI novel the same day it comes out. It's fun to bounce back and forth between hr and pnr.

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish KGI is PNR?

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Are you in the mood for anything specific? RS, HR, PNR?

message 1847: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (mrs_hf) | 164 comments HR!!

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish Hmmm... I'm getting ready to read A Rake's Guide To Pleasure by Victoria Dahl which came highly recommended to me. I read and loved Ride the Fire (Blakewell/Kenleigh Family Trilogy, #3) by Pamela Clare .... if you want to check out my shelf called "reviewed by me" you can skim through the HR novels I've read and check ratings. Just a suggestion.
