Not exactly next door neighbors but not TOO far. Is that a nice area? I've only been to Orlando and Tampa pretty much :)
Welcome Sherri! Jessica B wrote: "Carrie wrote: "Hi Jessica! Welcome!
Where about in Ontario are you from?"
I'm from the Niagara area!"
Nice! I live about 1.5 hrs north of Toronto.

It's ok, not much to do here though...have to go down to Palm Beach to do the fun stuff (but it's only like 30 mins away). And I LOVE Orlando. Theme Parks are my favorite thing!!
I really want to go to the new Harry Potter thing as Universal Studios...Does that make me a loser?Jen you and I are really close then :)
No Way!!! I really want to go to. I know a couple people who have gone already and said it was awesome! I'm going to wait until later in the year though when all the new-ness dies down so I won't have to wait as long to get on the ride...
I really want to go to Harry Potter too! A couple of my friends went over the weekend & said it was insanely busy but very worth it. I've seen their pictures & it looks amazing!! They bought wands, drank butterbeer, visited the joke shop & all the other places from HP. I'm def going to wait for the hype to die down though.
Yeah I'm thinking September. I went around that time a couple years ago and I walked onto every ride. Schools are back in session and everyone is done with vacations so the parks are pretty empty.
I'm doing that same thing Sherri! My parents are taking me there at the very end of August/beginning of September. I am SOO excited! Hopefully my cousins coming with me so it'll be a lot of fun. :)
Carrie - I have family that lives in Ontario. They're dispersed (I'll check addresses for where later), but they all spend the summers in Fenelon Falls. I think that was 2 hours north of Toronto. It's been a while since I've been to visit though.
^^ Hahaha, I used to take my dog to the dermatologist there! It's about 35 mins away from me. Ok ladies, you are all making me terribly jealous! I am such a huge Potter fan, and I won't be able to go to Pottertown (the wizarding world of Harry Potter is too long to type or say, lol) for probably years. :( Maybe when the boys are older, unless I can get away alone with just my bff or something (doubtful).
I must live under a rock because I didn't know there was a Harry Potter theme park, it doesn't surprise me though.
Darcy wrote: "I must live under a rock because I didn't know there was a Harry Potter theme park, it doesn't surprise me though."It's not really a theme park it is a section in the Florida Universal Studios sister park Islands Of Adventure.
Here's a link... http://www.universalorlando.com/harry...
The advertised it like crazy in the last Potter movie. Universal Studios can be pretty boring so it's good that they got something new. Although, the one in Florida looks like it actually has roller coasters and the one in LA is pathetic. It's only fun if you want to watch shows being filmed. Maybe I'll make it to the FL one some day. It's been 10 years.
The FL one is amazing...Universal Studios is a little more laid back but Islands Of Adventure is pretty intense!!! (I've never been to the LA one but I'd love to get out there to go to DisneyLand)
When I watched Order of the Phoenix they didn't advertise it at all. O.oI've been to the one in LA once, and that was when I was a toddler, so I don't remember it. When I go to Florida I usually go to Disney World, which has been about 5 times. Universal studies and Disney World is different right? I always forget if they are the same of not. I think I've been to both a couple of times.
Yes...Walt Disney World consists of Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios (formally MGM), and Animal Kingdom.
Universal consists of Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure.
I live in FL just a couple hrs South of the parks and have been plenty of times to all of them (SeaWorld too!)
I like Sea World because it serves as a rescue center.
When I liked in Cali I use to go to Disneyland to do my homework so that my boss couldn't call me in on my day off. I'd ride some rides, go sit on Tom Sawyers island and study, then go back to having fun. Now I can sleep on any of the rides. I shouldn't have overdone it.

Hello everyone!! My name is Jen and I have an admitted addiction to all things paranormal. Right now I am on a vamp kick of all kinds of crazy as well as some werewolf mixed in. I'm a 27 year old mother of 2 who works, reads and attempts to maintain my sanity...or whats left. I just finished up The Chicagoland Vampire series by Chloe Neill and it was so wonderful I can't even express you you my love of it. I'm in the middle of The Mercy Thompson series thanks to a recommendation from Heather (Thanks Heather!!!). I can't wait for all the books there are still out there. Yeah!!
Hi Jen, welcome! You should try the Kate Daniels books as well. I think you'd like them. I checked out your shelf and we have very similar taste. Um, I didn't see The Night Huntress series on there either? You need to check it out asap! :D
Hi Jen. Nice to see you in our group. We've got tons of people to give you recommendations. We'll help you meet your million page goal from the other group. =)
I told her to read it after Mercy. Mercy is great, but anything you read for a few weeks after Night Huntress feels like they're lacking something. It's like having a salad after desert. The salad could be yummy, but after chocolate... not impressive.
That's not how it works. You keep spending money on books even though you have ones you haven't read yet. =)
I would but right now I'm living with my father-in-law and I only have one room and am completely out of space to put more books
@ Carrie - Yeah, Heather told me to read them. They've been on hold at the library for awhile so I am attempting to wait my turn. I might end up buying the first because I finished Mercy and need something to read. I have some other in my closet, but not super interested. :D
Angela wrote: "I would but right now I'm living with my father-in-law and I only have one room and am completely out of space to put more books"Sounds like ebooks would be good for you!
You'll want to buy them after you read them so cave now.
I shouldn't advocate spending money, but you'll understand by the time you're done with chapter 2.

Heather, you'll be glad to know I've caved and I'm buying. I couldn't help myself, I need some more paranormal and I have no more in my closet. So, I'm buying the first 2 today as those should keep me occupied til tomorrow. Then, I will prolly get the others. The library doesn't have them in anyway.
^^ Hahaha, yeah I like books too! For some reason I buy mostly YA books though. Most of my UF books are ebooks. Maybe because the YA ones are usually so nice to look at.Yay Jen!
So I actually have read the whole Night Huntress series now. Just finished the last one up about thirty minutes ago. They were excellent...also, I would like to marry Bones. Any recommendations for what is next?
Haha. I think the urge to marry Bones is common. There's the night huntress world books (first drop of crimson, and eternal kiss of darkness).
Jennifer Esteps' Spider's Bite and then Web of Lies
Ilona Andrew's Magic Bitess (Kate Daniels series)
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
I'll list more if you want them. Maybe I'll make a thread for that.

Hi Stacia! Nice to have you join us. I've become addicted to goodreads too. Some days I feel like I spend more time on here then I do reading actual books.
