I am actually very surprised at the amount of five star reviews this book has garnered. After reading them and the book's description I was super jazzed about the book but unfortunately, the quality of the writing forced me to give up on it only 20% in.

For example: "Sitting on my balcony, I watched the sun ride [sic] this morning. It was sort of nice. I got no sleep last night, just like the nights before. Not one wink. Thankfully I was off work today. Kerri had given me the day off so I could

Isn’t that always the way? As soon as the guy you’ve been crushing on starts to show interest in you your husband from a past life shows up wanting to rekindle your love affair that has already spanned numerous life times. I mean really, the vows say “til death do us part.” Dude, move on already!
But it won’t be that easy for poor Avery Snow. Instead her normal life is turned upside down in a wild journey through past lives, soul eating dark angels, breathtaking Angels fighting for good, and a cr

Warning: I have a lot of books to review so this is not a full review. It's more of a snippet of thoughts.

This should not be called The Many Lives of Avery Snow. It should be called The Many Tangents of Avery Snow. I lost place in the story several times simply because the author would go off on a tangent and then her tangents had tangents. By the time we got back to the main story line I couldn't remember what was important anymore.

The grammar and sentence structure is terrible, and the punct

Now I am reviewing my own book because I want to say that to write a book is super hard and it takes alot of dedication. I had dreams of doing this since I was a little girl. And I did it!! YAY. Now some of you will not like it, and that is okay. I do read the bad reviews with perspective. But I do see readers putting authors down a lot! Bear in mind we work hard for our accomplishment's and although we enjoy your fresh perspective it can bring us down.
As for the awesome five star reviews, all I

The premise, while super scary, is not Biblically sound. I'm stating this because Heaven and angels play a very large part in the plot of this story. When using concepts from a religious work, it can be jarring to those who read and respect that work to see ideas from it used improperly.

The idea of the book is that there is such a thing as reincarnation and that every time this girl come back, one of her past loves comes back too, TRACKS HER DOWN, and takes over as the romantic lead in her life

Is your soul mate your soul mate in this life only, or in every life for the rest of your life?

Avery Snow is your average girl. Average looks, average job. Of course she has a stunning friend who out-shines her at every turn. Until the dreams she can not remember start. Now she is no longer average. In fact, she is now a very non-average person who is terrified to sleep and even more terrified to find out what the dreams mean.

Once a girl who had no romantic future in sight, now she has the lo

Not only do I love the whole reincarnation/ loves from past lives, the fact that preteen/teenager/adult could read this and it have the same feel as Twilight as far as reaching each maturity level. The characters.....OMGAWD! Some are weirded out by Landon and I'm not saying he's in the right but he just can't get over Avery.....and seems like she in a way can't get over him either....gotta read it to find out....

The Many Lives of Avery Snow is a great story! I have to say after reading the Novella I understood a lot more in the story when it came to Ianni. This is the first book in the series and I have to say it started with a bang and the series is totally going to be EPIC!

In The Many Lives of Avery Snow we meet Avery who is a 26 year old woman who has suffered so much loss in her life. Her father left the family when she was young and her mother died a few years later leaving Avery to be raised by he

Ok, first things first. I want to set the record straight right off the bat: I'm not really into the romance genre, but this book just might have changed my stance/view on the genre as a whole. I mean, yes, maybe the love triangle thing is overdone (it's a common occurrence in romance novels), so it didn't bother me as much as it did in other stories. Plus, Sloat put a rather interesting twist on it. A lover of your past lives constantly finding his way back to you? Who would've thought?

I just finished reading this book. I have to admit, I wasnt sure how I would feel about it. But I fell in love with it. I bought the new version on my Kindle Fire. I read that the book had been revised. I did love the premise.
Instantly I fell for Avery. I lost my mother at a young age and felt I could compare my life with hers.
Dallas is heart-wrenchingly beautiful, but, I love Landon. Is it fair to say, "team Landon"?
I love Kerri, even though you want to hate her. Ianni is a fabulous character

First of all, the cover is gorgeous! It evokes an ethereal feeling which is the perfect tone for this story. The plot is also very interesting. The idea of past lives, souls, and spirit guides is truly fascinating.
My heart breaks for Avery as she has lived with more pain and loss than anyone should have to. Her father leaves her at a very young age in a situation which makes it very hard for her to trust men. Then, several years later, she loses her mother. At the beginning of this book, Avery

Review for The Many Lives of Avery Snow by Christy Sloat

I was given this book by the author herself to review, first I want to say thank you Christy for this amazing chance to read your book!

Avery Snow was just another normal girl working at Sunrise Estates with her boss/ best friend Kerri. One day one of her friends Lucy that she takes care of dies but she delivers a message to Avery. Avery can't sleep anymore and its wrecking havocs on her life, well if you can call it that. She is lonely and can only daydream of the local bartender, Dallas, falling in love with her. Yeah, as if that would ever happen. All he ever does is ask about her sexy friend Kerri. Then one day she meets Landon and Dallas also starts to show interest; things could be looking up for her after all. But when she is visited by her spirit guide she learns that Landon is not what he seems. Now Avery must dec

I really enjoyed the story and plot of TMLOAS! The idea of re-uniting with your soul mate in each life is such a romantic idea, but you also understand how Avery feels when she says she would like to love someone else. She's placed in a tough situation. The story is really one that makes you think and the author did a great job guiding the reader through Avery's troubles and triumphs. I do think that the editor of this book, didn't do their best work. There were quite a few simple mistakes that ...more

Spoilers!!!!!! Ok so I really don't know how to feel about this book. I like the idea of past lives, soulmates, and angels. My first big problem is Avery. She is an idiot and I just don't like her at all. She has no confidence, whines all the time, and is completely wishy washy. I am very annoyed by her. My second problem is Dallas. He comes off very weak and pathetic. Also there is no chemistry between him and Avery, their scenes together are so bland and lacking. The only main character that I

I have to say I loved this book! Its about a girl named Avery snow, she had a pretty sad life but she was content and happy. Until she watched a friend at the nursing home where she works dies and warns her about a man named Cooper that loves her and is coming to be with her, from there everything goes crazy. The man she has been crushing on tells her he likes her the same day she helps a man that turns out to be her husband from her past 3 lives. She is forced to decide between the man she has ...more

I am giving this book 4 stars, due to the errors I saw in reading the ebook copy. I mention it briefly because it really didn't take away from the story itself. It was a good read filled with so much content, without becoming confusing, and that can be rare. The characters were also well written. I came to care for them and felt so invested in their story. In many reviews I saw a lot of Landon haters, but I felt sad for him. I think he was trapped in his own memories and love. And who knows, may ...more

I have mixed feelings about this book. At first I thought the writing wasn't as smooth as I had hoped and in a couple part seem like she was repeating herself. However, by about 1/3 of the way in I got hooked and wanted to know what else happened to Avery Snow and Dallas (big Dallas fan). I can't wait to read more from Christy Sloat and I know that her writting technique and "smoothness" will improve. She has something that we all want. A GREAT idea for a love storey that you sit back later and ...more

not worth the download unless you don't mind grammatical errors, word misuse and stream of consciousness journal style writing. a good premise poorly executed, the novel needs the hand of an experienced editor to bring it to its full potential. I read this on my kindle and only made it to chapter 14. I spent most of the time reading it making editorial notes and decided that since I was enjoying editing it more than actually reading it, it was time to put it down.

All I can say is wow!...I just read the ebook of The Many Lives of Avery Snow and its the most amazing read. The suspense, the wording, and the description of what is going on to the characters is breathtaking. I guarantee that this read would make you believe in the enduring and undying possibility of true love.

I was particularly fascintated by this new series because its about past lives, twin souls or affinity's, as they are known. I feel the author really gave an acurrate description of what twin souls are and the connection, or pull, that these rare souls have in each life, always finding each other from one life to the next regardless of other lovers or spouses they would already have in that life.

In this intriguing first book in the series, Avery Snow is just an ordinary young woma, living an ord

So, here's the thing: I LOVE THIS BOOK. In fact, I may very well love it obsessively. I hatehatehate spoilers, so I won't bother, and if you want a summary, you can read, well, the summary, but the bottom line is The Many Lives of Avery Snow is profoundly beautiful, intense, meaningful, creative, and inspiring. I really love the awesome cover and the title of this book. I couldn’t wait to start reading it, and I finished it in less than a day.

Spirit guides with wings that change color, malevolent dark guides that steal souls, reincarnation, a fascinating take on Hollywood celebs, and a love that spans over lifetimes, are only a few of the elements that makes “The Many Lives of Avery Snow” an intriguing story with an easy to follow plotline. The few flashbacks Avery and Landon have of their past lives t

After reading and loving Ianni, I just had to read this book! It was great! I feel that people of any age could relate with this New Adult novel and would love it. My favourite parts are the reincarnation themes. I'm a huge believer in reincarnation so I found these parts of the book extremely interesting.
