message 9: by SoBeA (new)

SoBeA (sobe1982) | 1 comments Hello :) I'm Sobia (So-Be-ah) and while I usually love Paranormal Romances of all kinds, another author made me a bit wary of these types of heroes but Ms Ione has managed to restore my faith in Demons :p

I read the first Demonica book last month, and finished the last released one this past week :) She's now on my auto buy list!

~*~Princess Nya Vasiliev~*~ (abbaschild7748) Hello Everyone!! I just started the Demonica series 2 days ago. I finished the 1st book. Loved it! Now I'm currently on Chapter 4 of the second. Welcome Chichimo =)

Danielle The Book Huntress (gatadelafuente) | 19 comments Hello. I've been a member for a while, but a terrible lurker. I really enjoy this series. Very creative. I can tell that Larissa put a lot of time and love into developing these books. I have read the first two, and I'm working on book three.

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

Hey,

I'm Jon. I'm from Tennessee and new to this series. It was recommended by a friend on GR. I hope it's not weird for anyone to have a guy in here...

message 28: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) Hi Jon, Welcome!

message 29: by ~Vixhen~ (new)

~Vixhen~ (vixhen) | 14 comments Hi Jon!

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Honestly, if my presence weirds anyone out or throws off your group dynamics in any way, please let me know and I'll beat a hasty retreat. To let you all know - there ARE male book lovers out there! LOL! Last year I read 168 books give or take a few. I just recentlystarted exploring PNR. I am currently reading Dark Lover and Pleasure Unbound. Hot Stuff!

Please rest assure that I am a 100% normal guy - bot some creep or anything. I simply love to talk books!

message 31: by ~Vixhen~ (new)

~Vixhen~ (vixhen) | 14 comments A man who loves books - AWESOME!

message 32: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 100 comments Hi Jon

hmm normal you say...... hahaha just kidding.
so far you are reading all the right stuff.

message 33: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) I'm totally cool with you hanging out with us Jon! It'd be interesting to get a guy's perspective on these books. Although, I'm a bit surprised to find a guy reading steamy romances *wink* hehe

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

LOL! I know, right? I have to say - being a newbie to this genre - these books have some crazy stuff in them! I have read a TON of books and I thought I was hard to embarrass, but wow - some of these scenes have me blushing!

message 35: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) HAHA!! Yeah, some of these books can get pretty intense...but they're fun to read! Most guys think that romance books are porn for women and I suppose they're not entirely wrong, lol.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

You know, I have to admit that for the longest time I was prejudiced about reading books in this genre or by female authors as I erroneously thought they couldn't understand the male psyche. I am very happy to admit that I was dead wrong. I am greatly enjoying reading these two books so far! I don't really care whether it's "literary porn" or not, it sure is fun to read! Do I need to turn in my "man card" now?

message 37: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) Actually, I was pretty prejudiced myself because I thought these books (and by these I mean ALL romances) would all be cheesy. I expected the heroines to be ditsy and in constant need of rescue and I was dead wrong too! Yeah, there are books like that out there...but for the most part these books (particularly paranormals) have equally strong female/male protagonists that make the story exciting.

The way I see it, yes it may be considered "literary porn" but we're all adults and the intimate scenes reflect a part of adult life. It's not like I excuse myself to go to the bathroom every time I read one, lol!

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

LOL! If you did that, you would be VERY tired as these books definitely keep the hot scenes coming!

message 39: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) Tell me about it...I'd have to take days off work just to keep up with the book! LOL!

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Good Lord! The way Pleasure Unbound started was enough to make me need a glass if cold water! God, I hope I'm up for this!

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Ha Ha Isa that was funny and welcome Jon these books are awesome!!!!! happy reading

Hi Jon! You are more than welcome here!

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Thank you guys for making me feel welcome in here! I must admit this book is seriously kicking my butt at the moment. I'm barely 40 pages into it and I'm not sure I can take the heat! I'm seriously blushing... Wow.

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

Then I guess I have a lot to look forward to, huh? GULP

~*~Princess Nya Vasiliev~*~ (abbaschild7748) Hey Jon! Welcome! No it's not weird, u being here :)

message 46: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 100 comments haha! I don't really blush when I read them at home, but I do blush a little when I read them at work. when i read a sexy part, i usually look around make sure no one is watching me haha.

I totally do the same thing! At home, I don't mind...but if I'm at the office, it's like I can feel everyone's eyes on me while they're thinking that I'm a literary hoe! LOL!

message 48: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 100 comments hahaha right, im like they couldn't possibly know what I am reading... can they...

message 49: by Isalys (new)

Isalys B. (slimmy415) Jon wrote: "God, I hope I'm up for this!"

I'm going to leave this one alone, but you may want to be careful with statements like this while in a romance group! LMAO!

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

LMAO!! I didn't realize how that came out - sorry! Crap - I need to be careful in here - I'll get censored or something... I was in my office at home reading this book and I totally got embarrassed but maybe it's because I'm not broken into the genre yet..
