Lori | 16 comments Hi everyone! I'm Lori from Kansas City (not originally). To maintain my sanity from being a mom, wife and a pharmacy student I read.

Got my first taste of PNR at the beginning of this year while perusing Audible's sale list and spotted "Slave to Sensation" by Nalini Singh. I thought "well this is an interesting book cover and not a genre I normally read." But because it was one of the only books in the list I haven't read or didn't care to read I went for it. I was HOOKED! Then in February Audible did a sale on Romance for Valentine's day and "Pleasure Unbound" was on the list. Bought it and man was I in even more trouble. While reviewing flash cards of medicinal chemistry and biochemistry I was listening to the Demonica Series. Definitely not advisable, the studying that is, because there were a few times I had to rewind the recording. I have since devoured the Demonica/LOD series, LOTU series, Psy-changeling series (except for one), Nightwalkers, Night Huntress, Guild Hunter, well you get the idea:)

Can't wait to talk books with everyone especially since I have the summer off and plan to read, read, read!

GENA (gnaptrsn) | 3 comments Hellloooo everyone! I'm Gena and I'm a huge fan of Larissa, her magnificent brain and the books she writes as you all do. I started with Snowbound and worked my way through all the Demonica Series (including the Demonica Overkill on her website), the ACRO Series (under Sydney Croft), the Secrets books she has stories in and The Lords of Deliverance books. Bloodlust is one of my favorites! I have read, re-read them and I'm waiting patiently for new ones to come :)

message 255: by Lucy Qhuay (new)

Lucy Qhuay Hey girls! :D
I'm Lucy, I'm 19 years old and I'm from Portugal.
I am fairly new in the adult paranormal romance area. I started with the Black Dagger Brotherhood but I decided not to read the entire series then. I decided to try others series just so I could know those that were better.
Then, luckily, I started Pleasure Unbound and loved it so much that I read the entire series.
So, you can guess that I am a huge fan of Larissa Ione and I've already read Lords Of Deliverance. :)
I can't wait for Rogue Rider! :D

message 265: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (misswings) | 1 comments Hi everyone. I've only read the first book in the Demonica series so far, but I know that I'm definitely going to finish them. A friend introduced me to them, and I'm looking forward to reading her other series too. Apologies in advance for any typing mistakes, but I'm accessing Goodreads and the groups from my iPhone. Being visually impaired, the Web site has gotten to be a pain to use, so I find the app easier to use, even if typing is slower.

I just finished it, so it's a quick read. I liked the storyline, but I wish it went into a little more back story. Maybe we find out more in the next book.

message 274: by Amie (new)

Amie (alm0824) | 3 comments I've finished up When Blood Calls When Blood Calls (The Shadow Keepers, #1) by J.K. Beck and Tall, Dark & Dead Tall, Dark & Dead (Garnet Lacey, #1) by Tate Hallaway . Both were just okay for me. I'll be reading Veil of Night Veil of Night by Linda Howard next.

message 275: by Theresa (new)

Theresa (thesa) Hello, I just joined this group hoping to get a recap of the Demonica series. I read this series years ago and am just now starting Eternal Rider. I thought I could start the LOD series without remembering the details of Demonica, but I'm struggling because the details are vague. I know certain events and details about secondary characters are pertinent but I can't remember it all. It's preventing me from fully enjoying Eternal Rider. Does anyone know where I can find a recap w/o rereading the whole series? I can't remember exactly who Reaver is or Val and his son. I can't even remember the details about seminus demons issues with mating. Can anyone help? Suggestions?

message 276: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie | 11 comments Theresa, Reaver was tasked with being a watcher over the four horseman. He is an angel who lost his memory and was at one time during the demonica series Fallen. I believe he regained his wings by helping Kynan in Sin Undone (but don't quote me on that). As far as the seminus demons, I believe Larissa Ione has more specific info on her website. I can't remember those small details either. Nor do I remember much about Val.
Welcome to the group, though!!

Thanks for responding. Wasn't he an employee at the hospital as well? I might just have to reread the series via audiobooks.

message 281: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 3 comments He was a employee he was a paramedic at the demon hospital. He did get his wings back but I believe it was in passion undone wraths book that he got them back in.

Happy Reading!

message 286: by Laura (new)

Laura Gonzales I'm new to Larissa Ione. Can someone give me a recommendation of where to start? Should I start with Demonica? I see people talking about it but that series is up to book 11. Or should I start with a less established series like Moonbound Clan? Is there any cross over between any of Larissa's series?

I like paranormal (haven't read much vampire stuff, mostly shifters) and erotica. Some of the series I have read and enjoyed are the Dark Protetors series by Rebecca Zanetti and the Bellum Sisters series by TA Grey. I would appreciate any recommendations?

message 293: by JustJoi (new)

JustJoi | 1 comments Hi, I'm Joi. I'm a newbie fan of Larissa Ione. A good friend recommended her books to me after I suffered from the disappointment and betrayal from my former fave PNR author. Larissa's book help me a lot to cope up from the heartbreak. She proves to me that there are more precious treasures on PNR world such as her than those who think they're at the top of the PNR chain. (Sorry for my salty words, I'm in the process of healing and recovering from the death blow of my dead book ship.)

message 294: by MommaBear (new)

MommaBear | 3 comments Hello, I'm Nihcki, giver of self-censored opinionated opinions, and a big fan of the Demonica/Lords/Underworld series. I have just finished reading Hawkyn, and have Her Guardian Angel ready to read next. Sadly I'll be current and have to WAIT for the next book to be released. I tend to start popular series late in order to avoid the wait between books, and hopefully score bargain paperbacks for my Keeper shelves.

Is this really the only Goodreads group for Larissa Ione? I can't believe that it's inactive, and behind as far as current books and discussions about them. It seems like there may be too many discussions to wade through; perhaps condensing a few to be just about a particular title would help, and would therefore encourage comments?

How do folks feel about the upcoming cookbook?
Dining with Angels Bits & Bites from the Demonica Universe by Larissa Ione

Dining with Angels: Bits & Bites from the Demonica Universe

(I'm not the best with adding links and such. Apologies.)

I'm eager to discuss Hawkyn, and sadly it's gonna be my first Demonica book to get a 3-star review (instead of 4, or the rare-for-me 5-stars). I'd be happy to chat about any of the Demonica books, and see that several need to be added here (Azagoth, Razr, Hades, etc.) Hoping to stir up some interest by posting here!
