I finished
last night. I absolutely loved it! I love how SEP can make a weird situation(like the plot line of this book) into an amazing love story!
She is, Samantha.
I really liked
, but I'm not liking that much of this authors early stuff. It's good and bad at the same time.

I have not finished a book in forever! This discovery of witches book is good, but I don't realize it was so long.
I finished
a few nights ago and I absolutely loved it! I think it just took over as my favourite SEP book... so long Kiss an Angel!
I don't think I like her writing style. Even though the narrative is first person from Cassia's POV I don't feel like you really get to know her very well. Cassia has a very distant sounding voice which is weird. Whatever, after 300+ pages of her pov I feel like I should know her better than I do. I'm looking forward to the sequel though. But at this point I think I liked
better.
I finished
which I liked a lot, you can't really go wrong with Zombies in my opinion. I'm really excited to see how a zombie love story is going to play out. There's a definite end date here (unlike with vampires) and her turning isn't an option. I (Finally!) finished
I have no idea what took me so long with this book (it took like a month to read. I only read it during my breaks at work) I don't know why. I love this series and Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl's writing is beautiful and it wasn't even a case of "not getting into the story" but in the end, I LOVED it. That ending...man oh man.I don't know why, but author's writing style and word choices are bugging me lately.
I finished reading Young Warriors: Stories of Strength. I only skipped over on story. The rest of the stories were good in varying degree.I finished reading First Grave on the Right. Didn't love the book. There were a great many flaws. However, the story was interesting enough that I would, possibly, read the next book in the series. I classifiy the book as definately Chick Lit with elements of paranormal.
and I liked it tons more than I thought I would, but mostly for the characters, and not the plot, which wasn't boring, but I've seen similar in vampire books before. The characters and the way they are written made me want to continue to read the series.
***SPOILERS***I finished The Lawman by Patricia Potter a few days ago. It annoyed me so much that I actually did try and type out a response on my wii but it didnt go through :(. Ok, so, the book starts with him staring down at the dead body of his sister in law and him vowing to avenge her death by seeing everyone involved in her murder hanged. He becomes a marshall and spends a decade hunting and theres only one outlaw left. Of COURSE he falls in love/lust with the outlaws daughter and one look at her pretty....eyes...and he's rethinking a DECADE of research and leads? Suddenly, because she's such a pretty girl and so...friendly...there's just no way that this criminal whom he has spent 10 years searching for is guilty of killing his sister. Not that he hasn't killed before, he has. He's a wanted murderer but since the marshall is so in love with the daughter (after a whole entire week) the marshall helps them fake the outlaws death. And then sells him a piece of his land so they can all live happily ever after?
I need at least one likeable person in a book. There wasn't one here.
I'm just at the beginning of
and I've turned into sappy mush. It's just sweet. I don't know what'll happen, but so far it's about these little boys, most aren't even teens, that find a baby that's been abandoned and decide to raise it so she won't die. They've all been abandoned or had to run away due to circumstances and the little miscreants just close forces around her in hopes to give her a great life. I think the boys are going to be interesting to follow and I hope this stays good.

Haha. I just found out it was turned into a Hallmark movie. I take it it's going to stay just a sweet then. =)
Tya, you hit upon many of my story pet peeves in your review. 'The Lawman' doesn't sound like my kind of book. Thanks for the head-up.
Okay, so I liked my book. They all made interesting adults and I really enjoyed the story. Even rated it 5 stars.
That books sounds awesome Heather! I will have to check it out. I finished
yesterday. I really enjoyed the story and I look forward to more from this up and coming author.
I finished
tonight! I loved and can't for more from this series. I've even heard that she is doing a spin-off from some characters in this book.
Jessica B wrote: "I finished

I finished The Space Between which I truly loved and Halfway to the Grave which I didn't truly love, but there were some aspects of the book that I liked. Not enough for my to read book two, though.
Has anyone read Sandman Slim yet? This series is awesome, funny and believe it or not, #2 put me on a diet for a couple of days. Kill the DeadI'm currently on book #3Aloha from Hell
Has anyone read
by any chance? I read the first one,
a while back and I really enjoyed it. I'm wondering if it's worth buying, or if I should stay strong and wait for the library.
I just finished Birthmarked yesterday (and I like it, too!). Have you read Tortured? It's like #1.5 and could help you while you're waiting. It's free on amazon and you don't have to have a kindle.
I haven't read that, but I have a Kindle so I definitely will, thanks! If you read the second one anytime soon let me know. :)
I didn't finish Dark Time, but I did put it in my 'Not-Going-To-Finish' pile. I didn't really care for the story and when one of the characters 'pleasured himself' I put the book down. That terminalogy is a bad sign that the writing is going to go downhill fast.
I recently finished
and I thought it was a lot of fun. I took a huge break inbetween this book and the first 3 from the series but I didn't enjoy any less. I also just finished
. It was a really different book. Verdict is still out on this series. I'll have to read the next in the series to form a full opinion I think.
Not having a computer at home is killing me! Its up to my faulty memory to remember to come to this page and actually...rememmber what I've recently read. No bueno. But, I did finish recently
which I really loved alot. I want there to be a sequel but as far as I can tell thats not going to happen. Which makes me not a happy camper. I loved the story, the couple the fact that the guy was Native American and super interested in his past. Loved all of it.
I finished Blue Diablo and enjoyed the story. I could have done without the main character's constant whine, but I liked the other characters and think Corine's whine will diminish as her story continues.
I just finished
, the second in the trilogy. Even though it wasn't as good as the first, I think it's worth continuing the series.
Darcy wrote: "The whining is why I gave that one up Paula." The over use of whining and repeating the same whine time and time again is a perfect reason not to finish a book, Darcy. I may read the 2nd book, but not anytime soon. I don't really want to buy a book I may bail on, so maybe I'll go to the library and check it out. I've been intending to go to the library for years. Never been.
If I had spent money on it I would have felt obligated to read it too. That is the nice thing about library books, you don't have to feel bad if you get duds.
I just finished
it was a very good book :) I enjoyed it and will probably move other Kristin Hannah books to the top of my list
Heather, Lola and the Boy Next Door reminded me of when I watched the movie Napoleon Dynamite for the first time. I didn't necessarily love it, and I didn't understand why other people were raving about it but I kept thinking about it. And thinking about it. And thinking about it. I didn't find Lola or Cricket (really? Cricket Graham Bell? And Calliope?) as easily and effortlessly charming as Etienne and Anna.
I finished reading Stone Maiden and really enjoyed the story. This is Ann Aguirre's debut book and I honestly like it more than many of her later books. I, of course, like Aguirre's later books, but 'Stone Maiden' was a surprise.
I read
and loved it! I have been mostly re-reading books (WoT), so I don't have anything else to add.
I recently finished
, which was definitely my favourite of the series so far. I also finished
which has one of the best Kleypas heroes yet!
Heather wrote: "Sam, it's been sitting by my computer for a while now. I really need to get to it."Lol! I picked the book up the day it came out and kept putting off reading it, then I would start and get distracted. Finally on Saturday I told myself to read it so I would stop feeling guilty that I hadn't read it yet. Once I started it I couldn't put it down.
I recently finished
and
. Elizabeth Hoyt is turning out to be a new favourite author of mine and SEP cannot write anything wrong in my eyes!
SEP is great. I did come across one that irked me, but beside that one... I love her.
I'll have to try the Hoyt. I like her Maiden Ln books, but don't connect with the Prince one's enough to rate them very high. I love parts and hate others. Hopefully this one will hook me.
