Hi- am trying to find a book or series of books. Book is about a women who is a version of a fairy but is actually called a frier for freir????...not quite sure. I think is the daughter of a vampire and a human. She has strange coloured eyes and has some magic powers or energy within her. Her job is to find recalcitrent vampires or demons and abolish them. She works for a publications, advertising or packaging dept? She is in lust with her work mate who is a half human half demon....he grows horns and is half goat??? (when in demon form.) She is being followed by an ancient gorgeous vampire who acutally bit her as a child - meaning she has some vampire blood in her which gives her some special powers. She has the tatoo on her hip which she uses to morph herself into a part vampire like when hunting them. Any clues...?

Sounds sort of like the Women of the Otherworld series by Kelley Armstrong. Actually, it sounds like Bitten, except the main character is a werewolf, not a vampire. She writes for a newspaper, and has a complicated relationship with the guy that bit her as a child.Some details sounds like it, but many do not. Maybe it will help spark some other folk's memories.

I think i know the book, it could possibly be The Sweet Scent of Blood - book 1 of Spellcrackers.com by Suzanne Mcleod.The main character is Genny Taylor who is Sidhe Fae, who works for spellcrackers.com she finds spells and "cracks" them. i don't think she is in lust with her co-worker but he is with her and he is a goat man (?)
She also has the tattoo on her hip that turns her vampire when she bleeds on it.
