I really liked the plot to Edge of Hunger and the characters were just ok. But what really bothered me about that book was the author used the verb "drawled" waaaaaaay too much. I am not even kidding.

I will let you know what I think of Seduced by Shadows.

Thanks Nita,
I'm finding myself having a hard time getting into Edge of Hunger but I'm only on pg 25 so hopefully it will get better. Thanks for the heads up!

Angela Daniels (angeladanielsromance) | 23 comments I'm reading On The Way To New Isosceles by Leigh Wood, a futuristic erotic romance. I love the kick butt heroine and the space military theme. The hero and heroine still hate each other at this point so I'm eager to see how they come together.

Also, Night Rising by Chris Marie Green, a paranormal. Not romance which is usually my thing but the action is great so far. Night Rising (Vampire Babylon, #1) by Chris Marie Green

OMG I am so loving them too bad I can't read them consecutively because my stinking library doesn't carry them all but I will get them all read eventually, and I am excited about it too.

Jenn (sportsgirlca) | 92 comments I just finished reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer The Host last night (or early this morning). I stayed up really late because I had to know the ending before I went to sleep. Love the book but hate that it made me cry, which made it hard to see the words to read the book.
I've now begun Stargazer (Evernight, #2) by Claudia Gray Stargazer by Claudia Gray.

I'm glad to hear of more people enjoying them as they've been added to my Amazon wishlist for Christmas, having seen some really good things about the series so far.

Jessica Davis | 4 comments I'm currently reading "Fade Out" by Rachel Caine, part of the Morganville Vampire Series. I'm loving it! This is one of my favorite series:)

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) Has anyone heard anything about or possibly read the ACRO series by Sydney Croft? The cover stories look pretty good--just curious what others might think...

Riding the Storm (ACRO, #1) by Sydney Croft [image error] Seduced by the Storm (ACRO, #3) by Sydney Croft Taming the Fire (ACRO, #4) by Sydney Croft Tempting the Fire (ACRO, #5) by Sydney Croft

message 4163: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) Hi Cherra. I have read the first three of the ACRO series. I think they are really good. The sex is hot! I actually categorize them as erotica. There is a great romantic story in each featuring a couple, and then a great overarching story throughout the books. I highly recommend them.

message 4164: by Alycia (last edited Nov 14, 2009 07:12PM) (new)

Alycia Just finished Dawnkeepers (Final Prophecy, #2) by Jessica Andersen I am on the fence if I will continue with this series. I am currently reading Wicked by Any Other Name (# 3) by Linda Wisdom and am really enjoying it so far. I'm about half way through it. I think I will read Kiss of Midnight (Midnight Breed, #1) by Lara Adrian next.

message 4165: by Nita (new)

Nita (gillnit) I finished up Seduced By Shadows (Marked Souls, #1) by Jessa Slade . It was ok. The concept of demons and angels in this book is intriguing. I will probably read the 2nd one when it comes out for that reason. The romance in the book was just meh for me.

I am now starting Night Embrace (Dark-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon .

Jessica | 1 comments I just finished reading Hunting Ground by Patricia Briggs. I loved it cant wait for the next in the series. I basically like anything Patricia Briggs comes out with. I just love how she combines action, mystery and romance as to where none of these elements overwhelm each other.

Also, read The Devil Inside by Jenna Black.
This is the second in the series that i just randomly picked up. So far its good and very interesting. The main character reminds me of Mercy Thompson from the Moon called series. Except more stubborn if thats even possible.

Right now i'm in the middle of reading Masquerade by Melissa Del Cruz.
Its the second in the Blue bloods series. The mysteries keep piling up and i love it.

@Alycia: Why on the fence? Something that happens to a character? Or just not worth it?

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) almost finished with Mine to Possess (Psy-Changeling, #4) by Nalini Singh and I am trying to decide what to read next. A ton of my requests came in all at once and I am sort of on overload with options. Of all the choices, my top picks...I think are:

Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione Trick of the Light (Trickster, #1) by Rob Thurman Full Moon Rising (Riley Jenson Guardian, #1) by Keri Arthur The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld, #1) by Gena Showalter

Any suggestions on what I should read first?

Hi Cherra...my choice would be Desire Unchained. I loved the first book in that series. I haven't read the others since my library doesn't have them and I am kinda poor right now. I have read The Darkest Night and it was good, but not great.

Depending on whether you lean more toward steamy or action the Desire Unchained is steamy, Trick of Light is Action, Full Moon Rising is steamy and action both and have read Darknest Night and cannot remember but think more steamy than not...... Loved all 4 books though because all 4 are some of my favorite authors out today to read....

Happy Reading whatever you pick, they all have good points...

Nita (gillnit) I finished up Night Embrace (Dark-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon . I really enjoyed it. It has been my favorite of the three Dark-Hunter books I've read so far. I am looking forward to the next book featuring Zarek.

Now I am reading a non-pnr/uf book for a book club, Holmes on the Range by Steve Hockensmith . I am not much of a mystery or western reader, so I am not sure how much I will enjoy it.

I ♥ Bookie Nookie (bookienookiereviews.blogspot.com) (ibookienookie) right now, i am reading Desire Unchained (Demonica, #2) by Larissa Ione . it is pretty good so far. has a little twist in the beginning making it a little different from your typical PNR. it isn't following the traditional path to HEA--although i know there will be one.
