Stacey Jeffreys (staceyjeffreys) | 8 comments I started reading Sea Witch by Virginia Kantra two days ago. I'm about halfway through it. I have been on a witch kick lately and decided to branch out with my first mermaid book. I am enjoying Margred, the heroine/selkie. Hoping Caleb her love interest develops into a more interesting character. He seems rather bland so far.

message 34410: by Jen (new)

Jen (jenius05) | 36 comments I've been reading John Corwin. He's a good YA paranormal romance writer, though, admittedly, he isn't especially good at female characters. He basically writes the same woman over and over with just a few differences (like skill sets). I'm still enjoying the series, though.

Thinking about it, I can't think of anyone I know IRL that re-reads like I do. Certain books I re-read ever year. Certain series I re-read after so many new books have been published so I can still keep up.

There should be a re-read thread. It may introduce books to others based on re-readers recommendations

I have a book that I read at least once a year. It's my go-to book when I just don't feel like anything else. It's called "Good Omens" by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett.

As for a new thread, go for it, I'd post my favorites, though some of them are certainly not the most popular books among the internet's denizens.

message 34415: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Schwartz (jenny_schwartz) I love re-reading! Great idea for a thread :)

Jen, Terry Pratchett is one of my favourite re-read authors

Jen (jenius05) | 36 comments A Twitter author sent me a link to her book, so I am currently reading Angel Avenue by Sarah Michelle Lynch. The first page is hard to get through, but it gets better as the book progresses. Not a paranormal romance, so I'm almost disappointed. Haha.

Stacey Jeffreys (staceyjeffreys) | 8 comments Loving reading your suggestions! Because of this thread I now have The Tale of Atlantis gracing my Kindle. Really looking forward to starting it!

Alright, I spent most of the night reading Angle Avenue and can I just say, 1st person + present tense + multiple narrators + flashbacks = mind bogglingly hard to read! I'm left asking the author in a silent scream, WHY?!
