To get approved for books on netgalley you generally have to be posting them online somewhere. It's worth a try since it's free to sign up on there, but be aware that some publishers may not approve you.... but some might....you never know until you try.

I finished my reader copy of and I really enjoyed it! I didn't realize there was a new series that intermingles with it, Dark Kings, so now I'll have to try and get my hands on that!

Jennifer, I love Kresley Cole! But I think I'm a couple books behind her latest. The last IAD book I read was Lothaire, and I also read her new series, Poison Princess, and am eagerly awaiting book two!

I just finished Hecate's Own by Dana Marie Bell. It is the second in a series about witches, wizards, and warlocks. I enjoyed it. 4 stars.

And I've bought but haven't started Bonds of Justice by Nalini Singh which is part of her Psy/Changeling series. I LOVE this series and highly recommend it for PNR readers who want something different.

I think it depends on how you feel about cliffhangers. She wraps up the main story in each book, but there is always something left hanging to continue into the next book. And the ending of book two really made me wish I had book three NOW. So if you hate having to wait a long time to find out what's happened to favored characters, you might want to wait until the next book is out.

And I really like this series. It's darker than the Iron Fey series and really doesn't feel like typical YA to me. The main characters seems much older than her years and I usually forget she's just a teenager. But I think that's usually the case with the dystopian-type YA stories.

I’m currently finishing off the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. I can’t talk too much about Shadowfever without giving things away, but basically this book is about fairies, but not frilly, dancing fairies. The fairies in these novels are dark, complex, and gorgeous. Mac, the heroine, annoyed me so much in the first book because she was such a girly-girl (something I find difficult to relate to but which others enjoy), but she really toughens up and becomes a kick-ass character. This is my first paranormal series with fairies and I can’t wait to start reading more!

Branded by Fire is my favorite book from the whole series! The next two books are kind of ho-hum, but it's worth it to get to Play of Passion with Drew.

I love Nalini's Changelings, and Branded by Fire is probably my all time favorite PNR.

That said, I've skipped all the books that didn't feature one Changeling as part of the main couple, which probably means I'll be skipping Heart of Obsidian as well. That part of her storyline just doesn't hook me.

Be sure to check out the free Psy-Changeling short stories she has out too!

I love the Changelings.... I think that's why I liked Branded by fire so much...Changeling/Changeling relationship...
