Jim son of Jim (formerly PhotoJim) (jim_formerly_photojim) | 80 comments I read #2&3 of the BDB this week. Since I have the rest of them sitting on Mt. ToBeRead, I'll probably do a couple more next week. Read an old Blaze this morning (I know not PNR). Will do a historical today and tomorrow. Working on a contemporary romance with my wife also. And finally need to finish up the last of the Sleeping Beauty trilogy.

Kathryn Major (kmajor816) | 24 comments Just finished "Some Girls Bite," Book 1 of the Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill. LOVED IT! Similar to Kim Harrison or Kelley Armstrong--I love great settings and very realistic honest characters. Have to get to B&N tomorrow to buy Book 2! I'm feeling obsessed.

message 5509: by Megan (new)

Megan | 198 comments You will love them, but be warned: they are addicting (in a good way, lol)

message 5510: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Major (kmajor816) | 24 comments I have to admit, I hate it when authors give their books cheesy titles. I think it devalues the book and makes people less likely to pick it up. I honestly don't think I would have tried "Some Girls Bite" just because of the title.

I agree, the rest of the trilogy perhaps even gets better as it goes along. Even though the assasain thing has been done before it still felt fresh.

message 5517: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (sleo) Night Pleasures for the February challenge, giving Sherrilyn Kenyon a second chance and for the first third wondering if I really had to endure another 200 or so pages, but finally getting into the plot enough that I can ignore the writing that grates me. Will probably give it 2 stars.

The Flooze (the_flooze) | 1593 comments Cherra, did you meet Louis-Cesare yet? Have you been on the plane?

If yes, and you don't like it, then she's probably just not for you, but I would keep reading until they go about their business at MAGIC and she chats with Radu. By then, you should be sucked in.

Sunday I finished Frist Drop of Crimson, and today I am going to start Soulless.

But, I don't think It is going to grab me right away. When that happens, well as you can see, I tend to read the entire book. Opps. What can I say, I took a speed reading class in college and I must have learned something.
Ha ha ha

I really enjoyed the series and I liked this book. The only downside to me was that the plot runs a little thin so the ending is kind of predictable but I really enjoyed it.
