What are you reading?
I just finished
and now I'm going to read
which I've heard so much about. The prologue had me in tears, so it promises to be a good story.
Thx for the info Silvana!Ended up reading
last night instead of going to sleep like I planned.. but I finished it before 1am, so that's good:-)I adored that book!!! Gillian and Christopher were both heartbreaking, but they were so perfect for each other!!! It was my first Lynn Kurland, but not my last! I already went ahead and added all the de Piaget books to my BD basket, along with a couple others:-D Are they all that good?

Thanks for the warning. I actually read a lot of books about this time period so I'm somewhat prepared...

Um..pretty good, funny, cute. I started it late last night, was up until 3:45 reading it. Got about 100 pages left. It's not too long..i think 295 pages total.

I'm going to have to try & find [book:I Do, I Do, I Do|497641], looks like another good one!
I have a few more of her books on hand waiting to be read...

Oh, Nicole. In those historical romances, everyone's been in bed with a Devil, a Scoundrel, a Rake, a Rogue, a Libertine and a Pirate. I'd keep reading until you're sure one way or the other who you're in bed with.

Ok, a strange question, ladies! How to you date your re-read books here on goodreads - date of the first time you read it or the last time you read it?
KK - I'm doing the 2011 GR challenge (which unfortunately does not count rereads in the same year, and I've already done two, lol), so I date them the last time, but for myself, I put in all the dates I've read the book in the "notes" section:-DReread
(5*, 5*) and read
(4*) yesterday.. All in all a good day:-)
My library FINALLY offers e-books, though pickings are fairly slim and the waits are long. BUT - downloaded and devoured
last night, and wow. you know how you get used to a certain author's style with the loooove scenes? I've been reading a lot of LK, Eloisa and Marsha Canham...no slouches in that dept. to be sure but well. Excuse me. Ms. Hoyt woke me right the heck up. Phew ~fans heaving bosom~

For me and having read so many novels set during that time period, I found it to be a bit simplistic and forced...I actually had it figured out exactly what the author was going to do to end the story so it wasn't as an emotional read for me. That said, it is a good introduction to that era and the horrors that occurred so I would recommend it for younger readers.

Thats a very strong reason as per why i tend to be selective on stories set around WWII era. They are just sooo many.. and they can get on the same hangers each time and again. I like to read the ones that make tribute to this poignant period in world history. I always strive to learn something new. thats kinda of my take on it.
Thanks for the brief!
Hey everyone!FYI
Marsha Canham will be answering questions about her books on the We Love Lisa Kleypas Across A Moonlit Sea Buddy Read on Sunday, May 1st, in the afternoon (EST). If anyone has a question, or would like to chat with Ms Canham, you're welcome to stop by!
If you do have any questions, please post them in bold on the thread!
X, Mel
Will finish
