Melanie, I can't wait for you to read the rest of the books! They're all amazing.

Ok, I'm reading a couple of things right now... I just finished
which was a very funny m/m read. It's a 4 star read I think.Now I'm reading
and
Dhes, definitely looking forwards to all of them!Well, I'm rereading
: I have a hard time reading books out of order, lol, even though I read this one in January!! So many books in between then and now that it's already fuzzy, if you can believe it!!:-D
Melanie wrote: "Lol Lisa Kay and Bekah.. I didn't say I didn't like Gray, just that he was an a**.. While IRL I'd take out a RO or just shoot him, I loved him in the book. lol talk about PC!"Oh, I am so sorry for the miscommunication, Melanie. I didn't even mean you b/c I saw you rated
high. I meant other GR friends, who like dangerous heros but didn't like Gray, and rated the book down. (Their right, of course.) You are accurate; he is an asshat; but I felt he was justified in his asshattery.
Melanie wrote: "Leanne - is it good? I have it in my TBR.. To bump up?
The book was good, will have my review up later today.

Melanie wrote: "Carol, you were right about
.. I actually didn't even go to sleep after Comanche Moon, I just had to see Amy and Swift get their HEA.. Phew, this book had me tearin..."I own most of catherine Anderson books, and have these...I need to read them! I THINK SHE IS GREAT AUTHOR!
I was going through more of my mom's cast-off books on Sunday and what did I luck into? She had the Comanche series minus #1 which I picked up cheaply on Thriftbooks.com.
Right now I'm reading Time and Chance and listening to Remember Me?.The first one is going slow because I soo like Henry II but I know bad things happen and I don't want to know!
I just finished
last night. Hope to get a start on
sometime today between entertaining 5 kids off from Easter break, taking them to the movies and going out to dinner tonight for my brother in law's B-day.
Laura wrote: "I was going through more of my mom's cast-off books on Sunday and what did I luck into? She had the Comanche series minus #1 which I picked up cheaply on Thriftbooks.com."SCORE!!! LOL I love thriftbooks.com especially since they went to all free shipping.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "SCORE!!! LOL I love thriftbooks.com especially since they went to all free shipping. ..."I thought so, too! I also had an extra 10% off at thriftbooks.com so I'm totally justified in my purchase, right? :)
Oh, totally!!!!betterworldbooks.com is giving an extra 20% off 3 or more books through the 26th. Checkout Code EARTHDAY
Laura & Heidi - Oh, you girls have got to read the Comanche series!! Soooo good!Lisa Kay, no offense taken! I've also seen people rate good books(IMO) low because of the hero's "asshattery", lol..
What's that I hear? Free shipping with thriftbooks? since when?
On my end, I read
yesterday and loved it (my computer was down though).. Great "Romeo and Juliet" theme! Looking forwards to the second book, which came in the mail today:-D
Melanie wrote: "What's that I hear? Free shipping with thriftbooks? since when?...."I've only recently started using thriftbooks.com, but it's free shipping within the US, $2.99 to Canada & UK, and $4.99 to the rest of the world.
I love the word 'asshattery' btw...too funny!
Melanie wrote: "What's that I hear? Free shipping with thriftbooks? since when?"A year or so? It's in the US only.
Ah well, I'll have to wait till this summer when I move to the US.. Good, because I definitely do not need a new book site, lol! I'm already wrecking enough havoc on BWB and BD (talking of which, I think I might cave again.. 17 books in my basket just waiting to be bought.. with BD, that is! otherwise, 63 with BWB..)
Currently reading
,
,
, and listening to
on audio book at work. Sadly I don't really like most of them and can't wait to finish them so I can move on, lol.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "I got burned out and put off by the House of Night series."me too! lol. I have never had a book drive me insane before, but I'm pretty sure
will. The main character pisses me off more than my husband ever could, and thats saying something HAHAMy coworker and I had just finished
on audio book and was going to start
, but the library only gave us disks 1-9 and shorted us the final disk. We had a mild panic attack, lol. So we had to start Tempted instead.
I think I own Tempted... was that the first hard cover book? But I never read it. Really... that series just took a nose dive.
Well, TMOT was far from being my favorite, although it was cute.. Bet Me or Crazy for you are probably my faves: she's very funny, and her books are a great sweet & fun read, especially when you're feeling down:-D I've reread the two I mentioned about a dozen times each!
Hmmm tension wise, warm but oh-so-sweet.. the deed doesn't get done for a while!Bet Me is my fave, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I do!:-D
Oh, Dhestiny! I liked
. But not everyone like the last three. Charlie All Night is short and sweet but some people complained about paying so much for a short book.
I have only read "bet me" and "strange bed persons" .... in her favor i have to say im not really into chick lit, so i might be biased on my ratings/reviews. i liked "bet me" a whole lot better than the latter.
i reviewed it, if u want to check it out.
Not a series Dhes! Each book is a stand-alone, but I think two of them are "linked" (well, the MCs are brother and sister, but you don't need to read one to read the other!)
Currently reading
and extremely good so far. This is an ARC I received from NetGalley and the book is published on 1 May 2011
A friend recommended me that book, Dhes and I was so happy to find it as a freebie for Kindle.Right now I'm reading Time and Chance and listening to Ella Enchanted. The narrator sounds like a 12 year old girl, though, which is really weird (the main character is supposed to be 15.)
I just finished
and was kind of disappointed in it. Firstly, I didn't think the characters were built up enough, the sexual relationship that springs up between Sin and J seemed rushed, (view spoiler) and secondly, Sin was an ass! A shallow, undeserving a**, while Juliana was a weak miss who just fell into his arms. Nonetheless, I didn't hate the book: I actually thought the plot had a lot of promise, and there were a few worthwile angsty moments I enjoyed.. so 2.5-3*, but I'm glad that for once I didn't go ahead and buy all AH's books!["br"]>["br"]>
Starting
.. I need a good book after the last couple mediocre ones! Well, no..
was fabulous, but I was expecting better from
I just finished
on nook, have
about 1/2 way finished on audio, and am about to start
on nook. I'm kinda nervous about it, hear a lot of great things, so I hope it lives up to expectations!
Silvana - As I mentioned, I wasn't a fan of the Lords of Vice #1 - Would you recommend the second and third (which seems like the best) books? I don't want to buy them if I don't think I'll enjoy them, lol!! (I know, duh)Finished
which I gave 4* to: I understood Desi, but the romance seemed to go two steps forwards, one step back.. And I want to know what happens with the "big" villain!Just finished
, 3*, and starting
which seems good (my first Anna Campbell, so I have high hopes!)
Bekah wrote: "I loved the hero in Untouched!!! Hope you like it Melanie!"I'm two thirds in and LOVING it!! He's amazing!
Melanie wrote: "Silvana - As I mentioned, I wasn't a fan of the Lords of Vice #1 - Would you recommend the second and third..."Melanie, I skipped the first book in Lords of Vice because of bad reviews and started with book three which I did enjoy. I’m currently reading book two because the heroine has an ailment I have yet to encounter in an historical romance. So far I would rate it a 3 star even though I find characters likeable and the plot somewhat original. With that said I would not put Lords of Vice in the same category as say Lisa Kleypas -Wallflower series or even Julia Quinn’s -Bridgertons series, but maybe alike it to Jennifer Ashley work. I hope that helps.
Alas, I will continue my vigorous search for a hero comparable to the ever charming and devilishly sexy Viscount St. Vincent. Oh Sebastian, how you continue to elude me. Lol
