Leanne, my favourite so far is the sixth one , The Devilish Pleasures of a Duke (Emma Boscastle's story).
Just finished
and was not a fan. I like my alphas to act like grown men, not 13 year olds. Oh and I read
which was underwhelming. Will I ever find a Barrons replacement?Back to historicals for me... Now I am reading
which I am enjoying. The h is fantastic.

Bekah/Jennifer: Very different heroes, the both of them (ok, yes, Barrons is maybe a tad more lethal).. but IMO he and Bones both live up to my standards of an awesome hero:-D
Bekah, we are reversed! I am a goner for Barrons, my fave hero of them all. But I won't kick Bones out yet... ;-)
Just finished
Wow!!! What an amazing book and beautiful love story I feel empty, as if all my emotions have been wrenched out of me. So much hate between the nations of two people so in love!
Tomorrow morning, I'm going straight into reading Comanche Heart!!
Katherine wrote: "Autumn how is Jude Deberaux? I haven't read anything by her for a long time."I will try to write a decent review when my mojo comes back. But in the meantime i can tell you this story was very different from the time travel ones she usually writes. i had mixed opinions because it was so emotional, and made me angry at times LOL! I still dont know how i feel about it.
Lisa Kay wrote: "Carol, I loved

Melanie, I agree with you about Comanche Moon. It has been a long time since I read a book that literally took my breath away but this one did. I loved Comanche Heart as well. Amy and Swift's story is so powerful and beautiful.
Carol, you were right about
.. I actually didn't even go to sleep after Comanche Moon, I just had to see Amy and Swift get their HEA.. Phew, this book had me tearing up in places.. Amy went through so much! it was heartbreaking, but I loved how Swift just loved her through it all, no doubt in his mind.. 5*

Here's my review:

I've read Indigo's story 'Indigo Blue' but I haven't read Chase's story 'Comanche Magic' yet. Must read it soon.
Carol.. Great review! Oh, that classroom scene had me wincing.. Swift was such a wonderful hero!! I have Indigo Blue in my TBR, but I'm going to wait to receive Comanche Magic, I think:-D Did you like IB?

It didn't have quite the same emotional impact as the first two books but still a 5* for me.

Loved this book and the next two. I have been trying to get the fourth book, Comanche Magic, but can't seem to find it. Do you know where I can get it, even as an e-book?

You can buy it at ABE books.

Someone else here recommended that website to me so it's good to share it around.
Read
yesterday, then reread
(4*) and then read
last night.. What a great book! I loved the Mackinnons, although I did find their heritage pretty fun: exiled Highlanders with Viking blood (from their mother, apparently), raised with the Mohicans.. Lol.. Can't get any fiercer! 5*

Comanche magic is being re-released in may i think...search for it at Amazon.
Ah! Help! I can't find the help thread, so I'm posting this here! I'll move it if necessary!I've been looking for this book for months. I read it years ago in French. It was a harlequin historical romance (at least the publisher) and divided in three parts: the first was called (I'm translating from French, so it might be slightly different) The Ugly Duckling, the second The Migrating bird (?), and the third The Swan.
The plot is an overweight bluestocking wallflower who's in love with one of her sister's beaux. A ship captain (I think he works for her father's shipping company) needs a helmsman, and she can read the stars. She convinces him (or stows away?) to let her come along, and on the way she loses weight, her glasses, her petticoats (that he throws into the sea, if I'm not mistaken) and ankle boots. They end up in the Carribean at his or her aunt's house, have a love scene at some waterfall, then head back home. She gets home, but then his ship is sunk - she believes him dead, then finds out she's pregnant. A month or two later, we find her being the belle of the masquerade ball, her old crush asks her to marry her, she refuses him, and her pirate shoulders his way through the throng to fetch her:-) I remember a lot of details, but not the name of the bloody book, lol! Help me please!
Melanie, Sounds an awful lot like
, but I don't think it is the right publisher. It was great; the best by this author, as she really set the scenes. But I'm glad you brought this up as it is part of a seires of five books called the Calhoun Chronicles, which I didn't realize. Thanks!
Lisa Kay, you goddess, you! That's it (I remember Journey, the black first mate!)! I thought her name was Isabel, but this is it!! Thank you thank you thank you:-D It was taken up by Harlequin in French (most romances are, you know, lol)!! Ah, thank goodness! It's been driving me crazy for months! I'm going to go ahead and order it soon, lol.. like I don't have enough on my TBR!
Read
and
(4.5* and 3*) and currently reading
and loving it!
Finished
, which was good, but not as good as the first two, IMO.. I htought that Indigo grated a little.. I was expecting her to have more fire.. But Jake and the last 100 pages more than make up for Indigo's lack of temper!Going to reread
(turns out I have the ebook!)
Today I finished Warrior & Bridge to Terabithia. The latter ended up being a pretty tough book (I didn't have a clue what it was about.)I'm also listening to Say You're One of Them, which is even tougher than Terabithia. I don't know how I tend to pick up these books in bunches.
Leanne - is it good? I have it in my TBR.. To bump up?Just finished
and loved it.. Somehow, I'm a little reluctant to read
Just finished
: Yep, Robert was an a**, no doubt about it! Not as bad as Gray in After the Night though (no one could be as bad, lol)! Liked it anyway: 4*
Melanie,
was a recommended to me by a GR friend and it is available from my library. I just haven't gotten around to it! It sure looks good. TOO MANY BOOKS I WANT TO READ!And
is on my favorites shelf! I’ve re-read it several times. I know it's not PC to like Gray - some of my best GR friends don’t - but I just adored him. Usually
I'm
the only one who does NOT like the asshat hero. In this case, I completely understood how he could act so rashly “that night” after what had happened to his sister (I was with him every step of the way though her ordeal). That, and considering the enormous implications of the abandonment of his father; plus, he really was just a young, immature man himself.
Gray was just so big and so intense and so demanding and in your face...and on and on and on..I loved it
:-)
Lol Lisa Kay and Bekah.. I didn't say I didn't like Gray, just that he was an a**.. While IRL I'd take out a RO or just shoot him, I loved him in the book.. lol talk about PC! I should also do a reread, it's been a while!Just finished
and loved it! I'd read the second book in the series first and enjoyed it, but don't know whether to reread that one or skip to the third.. Reece was such a great hero!
