YOWSA!! I would have never thought this book could have a worst cover than this one

What's with the skinny arms and the thick body? It makes him look like an alien!

oh yes!! it was a good book!! ;)

BTW- on the personality types- he is ENTJ (classic manipulator) and she is INTP (typical egghead).

That Cerise Deland I read reeked. I only mention it b/c I saw it on ur WL, Bekah ;-)
Off to reading my Harlequin crack now . . .

I just got back from London, and read

and

I've read exactly the same Kinsale books plus Midsummer Moon and Lessons in French both of which are worth picking up. Where's home Melanie?

ur missing FOR MY LADY'S HEART (my fave LK actually) and PRINCE OF MIDNIGHT from her high period. Actually, any LK is worth reading, She only wrote 11 bks sadly.

Don't dismiss her just yet!! She's still writing so she may put out some more good stuff.

Lol, yep:-D Geneva, Switzerland (at least for the next 6 months!)
I have Midsummer's Moon, Prince of Midnight and Lessons in French I haven't read yet, so I seem to be set:-D
I also have this one book she wrote in medieval language? I only got 10pages into it before it started grating on my nerves - Actually, seton, it was For My Lady's Heart.. is it worth working through the language?

yes, the dialogue is in olde/middle english. it takes a while to get the hang of it but i thought it was worth it. Ruck was the perfect knight, honorable to a fault, but he shows that it's not a weakness when up against the more cut-throat melisande.

I like my heroines of the tough/cut-throat/independent ilk.

Seriously Mshj? I am planning to read this next! Now I am really EXCITED!

I'm not sure how similar our taste is but if you like a book with a bit of heft to it wordcount wise, an actual plot beyond the romance and strong capable female characters you could well love it.
It was really nice that it was set in the US too. This one was both well researched (or so it seemed to me) and an interesting location that is underused in historicals. It's strange really- you'd have thought that there would be more interest in "local history" settings but maybe people prefer escapism.
I'm digressing again- it's a wonderful book- report in when you've read it! BTW- it's a nail biter so don't start it when you've only got odd half hours available.
I'm starting to think about holiday reads now as I'll be in (sort of )Spain over Easter.

I'm also reading

It was!! I'm ordering the next three as we speak, lol.

Oh, oh! OH! I love that book. It's my all time fav Wallflower book and maybe my all time fav Kleypas book, too.

Ooooh.. that was my first LK book.. Since I went straight out and bought all of her backlist, I can safely say I loved it too! Heartwrenching!!
Just finished rereading

whoa! u are usually pretty generous rater with chick-flick books, and this one is a beloved one among everyone i know!! i personally flayed the book with my review lol! she got on my nerves! i thought i was the only one that rated on the low side.. i gave it 2 cus i dont really do well in this genre..

."
I've added that to my amazon wish list because I've heard such good things about it!!!
Is it adult, YA... sex, no sex, violence, no violence?

Rikki is autistic and her "quirks" were quite endearing, but I don't think it was done quite as well as Ian Mackenzie was. I'm not sure why... maybe it was just different, or maybe because she's a female I didn't quite feel the need to take care of her like I did Ian. Does that make sense?
But I did love her and Lev a lot.

I'm liking it so far...I think some of her new books are kinda formulaic, but they're enjoyable and I've always loved her writing style so it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, I know... I'm usually generous with my stars, but lately, having read some great books, I'm bringing up my standards... But Grace also really got on my nerves (except for her job, which I found cute), along with Natalie, and to some measure, Margaret... The only one I did like was Callahan, lol..
Sounds like I need to add Fallen From Grace to my TBR:-D and maybe read Water Bound since I have it:-)... Autumn, could you PM me to let me know if there is a rape scene though? I'm not crazy about that! Thanks!!!
