... what a fabulous ending! But there are a couple characters I definitely want to know more about! Gotta say, I didn't expect 99% of what happened at..."Im with you on that Melanie!!! Loved it though. I though she ended the series really well.
I am reading absolutely NOTHING right now. Did not even pick up a book all weekend!! Did housework and worked for hubby on Friday, spent all day Saturday working registration at the ball park and then yesterday was split between taxes and shotgun practice!!Ugh . . .I need a vacation so I can read!! LOL!!

I loved Can You Keep a Secret?. I read it on a flight and could not stop cracking up, which I'm sure annoyed the other passengers to no end.
I just finished
and I'm about 1/2 way through
and I'm trying to get into
but I have a problem enjoying books where one person is lonely or cares more about the other person and settles for sex just to be able to stay close. Granted, I'm not too far in, so I could be way off on that.
I'm planning on sneaking a "little" reading pleasure for myself amongst reading the textbooks that are the bane of my existence right now. And "little" being this book:How to Train Your Dragon.LOL.
What can I say? I watched the movie first (enjoyed it, btw) and curious to see how the book is. Definitely a short read for me (excluding the textbook readings) so...

I usually start going into withdrawal and try to fit in a couple hours of reading after 3-4days:-D Did you manage to read anything yesterday?

Finished
and currently reading
... Lol: I really do need to finish reading
(I haven't turned a page in 5 days: if I wait any longer I'm worried I won't manage to get back into it!!)
Just started 'Cross Stitch' by Diana Gabaldon - I believe the book has a different title 'Outlander' in the States. Heard a lot of good things about the hero, Jamie, and am intrigued to read Ms Gabaldon as I havent previously read any of hers - always thought them a bit 'soft' if that isnt patronising (which it probably is) but this one seems fine, verging on gripping.

New author for me . . .Lynn Veihl
. My librarian recomended this one.
Oh, I have that book on my TBR shelf. Maybe I should pick it up soon...I finished
and

UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "Mandy, I read the Darkyn series and really enjoyed it."Just finished first one. I'm liking it! I don't normally go for the vampire stories.
Starting
today. Another new author for me. :)
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "Of the many books I'm currently reading,
is by far the best! What a great story!"The book I'm reading now The Rake, is by the same author and some of the characters from the Fallen Angel series showed up!
D.G. wrote: "The book I'm reading now The Rake, is by the same author and some of the characters from the Fallen Angel series showed up!"Oh, DG, I'm SO happy to hear that!!! I was wondering if it was part of a series, now I see it is. I'm dying to know more about the other Fallen Angels.
I actually read that series completely out of order and I'm still missing some of them - I know for sure I read #1, #2, #5 & #7 but I'm not sure about #3. I don't think I read #4 (that Mohawk heroine doesn't seem familiar) and #6 is about the artist friend of Michael so I know I haven't read it.

If you are one of those people that MUST read in order you'll be very relieved to know that you are starting on book one of the fallen angels!!
I really enjoyed the whole series - the last one was very sweet- One Perfect Rose. From a different series The Bartered Bride is about Michael's (from Thunder and Roses) step daughter. I really enjoyed that one- the hero is just the most perfect gentleman.
Mshj wrote: "DG is going to kill me but I'm reading The Winter Rose out of order and thoroughly enjoying it."LOL, I noticed you were reading it and was like NO! NO!
This book gives up everything that happened in the first book (which was better in my opinion.)
Mshj, I'm trying to track down the rest of the series! It's driving me crazy because yes, I must read books in order. I can get the next from a used bookstore about an hour from me, then the rest I have to order online.GAH!
But you should be happy in knowing that I love this book, too! I'm 2 for 2 with your Secret Santa recommendations! *hugs*

I'd lend you mine but it's way too far to post. I've been eeking my way through MJP as I enjoy most of her books so much. I have a funny feeling though that she didn't even write the fallen angel series in order and I don't think it's critical to read them in order.
The moratorium is in effect, yes, but the caveat is that I CAN buy books that are part of a series I'm already following :) Thanks to YOU, I'm following the Fallen Angel series.
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "The moratorium is in effect, yes, but the caveat is that I CAN buy books that are part of a series I'm already following :) Thanks to YOU, I'm following the Fallen Angel series."ROFLOL!
UM - Are you a lawyer, lol? Great loophole:-DI just spent the last 3hrs putting away the books I've read in the last 6 months (a couple hundred!) and therefore reorganizing two of my bookshelves so that one of them is only TBR books (I had to box up all my textbooks for the last 4 yrs... no wonder my back was always aching! They weigh a ton!).. All while rereading
.
Finished reading How to Train Your Dragon and sneaking in Fifth Day Of Christmas in-between reading textbooks.

I really liked the parts about Henrietta herself and the scientific/ethical parts (although a bit simplified), but I didn't like the structure of the book and how the main focus of it seemed to be the author's attempt to get information out of the family.
It still makes for an interesting read.
