My birthday is on the 23rd so I think I should be able to buy 23 books that month :)

you have a problem like i have a problem!!I have eight being delivered next week, and I bought seven ebooks online the other night. So that's what...15 books bought this week technically...
Currently I have 274 that I own that need to be read.
Ouch....I have to stop!
Maybe I'll count mine tonight. I have them all in a Word doc, but haven't been able to count them all.
I just bought two more.. you know what the problem is???It's the gd ebooks! I see all these ebooks on my wishlist, go and check the price, and they're under $4...so I think!!! YAY!!!
2 for the price 'o one!!!
Sick
I am sick I tell you!!!

Oh boy... you're going to be a hard case!
Bekah, I love you to pieces, but I'm not the person to turn to for help with your book buying addiction. I'll just ask for your credit card and buy them for myself.

Open Season is grrreat!
200+ books? Man.. I'm at over 1200 books on my TBR!!!! (In 3 days, in June, I ordered 150 books of bookdepository, and 950 books (freakin' lots!) off ebay (it was compulsive, I swear!)... Not counting the 200 books I already had on my TBR, or the three thousand ebooks I have (thx to a friend of mine)...
I should be doing this too.. but I'm a realist:-) Since June I was good, except on my two US trips where I came back with 30+ bks each time...
You think you're sick??? What the h*** am I then??? LOL
Maybe I'll limit myself to 10 bks a month in 2011 (you never know, with new releases, lol)... Yech! But I am seriously working on putting a dent in my TBR! Since June I think I read over 300 bks..
Heidi wrote: "DG, please, do tell us ladies what is so "WOW" about this book!"The story is very good and the characters are very real - the heroine is a lawyer (and I understand the writer used to be one too) so all the details about that are amazingly accurate. The plot moves at a very good pace and the hero is superhot. I just wished the book had been steamier!
This is my second book by this author and I've loved them both so as soon as I come back from vacation, I'll order the third. :)

WOW,
O__O
That's...more than my TBR pile. And that doesn't count my ebooks in the computer that I hadn't read (though some I already read, but still...), though my ebooks are a LOT, but still...
WOW.
200+ is still a lot to own and need to read, even though you've got me (and likely everyone else) beaten in that department too.
E., I hadn't taken into consideration ebooks. Add another 200+ to my already close to 300 books. Wow... I'm set for life!
UniquelyMoi *~*Dhestiny*~* wrote: "E., I hadn't taken into consideration ebooks. Add another 200+ to my already close to 300 books. Wow... I'm set for life!"I'm just in awe that you won't be buying anything in 2011!! True.. you'll have enough books for 2011:-)
Melanie, the challenge I have set for my New Years Resolution is that I won't buy any new books except for those that are part of a series I'm already reading, or a spinoff of a series I'm already reading. Still, there will be months with ZERO book buying :( I'm toying with the idea of allowing books from Friends of the Library bookstores because they are only 33-50 cents each. So, I need to come up with a reasonable number to limit myself to on those, too.
I have friends at PBS with TBRs of over 1500 books. :)My TBR is at around 90 books (this doesn't include e-books.) I've been trying to reduce it to 50 for the last two years but I haven't been able to. :) So I'm resigned to that # as long as my books don't get higher than 100 books.
I don't feel so bad now, I have close to 250 books I have not read yet, including Christmas ones which actually can wait year after year, but yet I still am intrigued to continue buying! But then, it certainly is a great addiction; that's for sure!

Do you think it is? Certainly possibly. I would have thought though maybe Lady Sophia's Lover or Worth Any Price would just nip that prize?
Do you think it is? Certainly possibly. I would have thought though maybe Lady Sophia's Lover o..."Lady Sophia's Lover and Worth Any Price are definitely up there! BUT!the theme of this book is about the mature heroine trying to catch up on what she missed out LOL! the others had other plots around the story (its my view idk..) i loved them all anyway!! specially worth any price.. God, that book was so special. xxxxxxxx
Read
and
.. The first look like a great start to a new series, and the second I loved... I loved most of LC's books, but this one was particularly touching... Bentley was such a heartbreaking hero! Loved him!
I am currently 1/4 thru
..its a bit out of the ordinary for me, but really like this author.Oh and I have read the other two in this trilogy, so ad to read this one.
I just added two books in my TBR pile. Still reading the book that I'm currently reading, but I just wanted to say that the books that I've gotten today were a steal*. I probably won't be able to read them for some time, but I feel that it was a worthy buy, considering that maybe one (or both) will be read next year. I'm hoping to use them for next year's challenge (whichever it is that I can participate, that is).*Lover Avenged...hardcover, and for about $4! >_<
Bad Boys Down Under...could say more, but the first book stole the show. :)
Oh, and I have about 100 books in my TBR pile (I think; hadn't counted it yet). This does not contain the ebooks that I have (which are LOTS), and if it did, my TBR would fill my small bedroom. So my is small compared to others...I think.

Very slowly....I think I'm going to put it down and skip ahead to The Bikini Diaries. I'll give it till the end of the day Tuesday, and then I'm going to pick up the diaries...I just don't want to find I've lost time to finish my challenge books..so if one is slowing me down, I'll leave it for last.
Read my first Robyn Carr last night,
and loved it... Just finished
, which was way better than TM's last two books (which weren't my faves by that author).. And now I'm waiting for my freakin' Kindle to reboot so I can read
, which I started 50 pages of before my Kindle crashed (I think I have too many books on it!)
Melanie wrote: "Read my first Robyn Carr last night,

Man, it seems like everyone is talking about this virgin river series...and I've never heard of it before!
sorta sounds like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman...which I was a huge fan of... whats the steam factor like?
It's got some heat to it, but not like erotic, or maybe even not as steamy as LK's books. But there is some, and the characters are wonderful and funny, and honorable... great heroes.

In this very thread
was mentioned as "let me just say wow" so i went to look for this book, and although the author is fairly new to the writing business she is quite acomplished!!. Her reviews everywhere are 3.5 and up out of 4!! so im going to binge and buy me all the 3 books she has out so far!!! ;P (I know, pretty reckless.. but is my vice!! haahah so proud of it!) xxxxxxxxxx
