I'd have to say that my NEW favorite of Lisa's books is

I totally agree, Dhes. Leo is simply FANTABULOUS and this book is my favourite now too.

Thanks for the welcome, I never tire of her stories, although I can't help but notice in Leo's book, there's a recycled line "You don't have to love me back", which was uttered by Nikolai to Emma in "Prince of Dreams". Nonetheless, that doesn't diminish her being #1 on my list when it comes to historical romance, I have yet to read her contemporary ones though.

Hi Natasha and welcome! I'm quite new in this group myself, but felt like greeting anyway. I'm one of those who love the Evie-Sebastian couple, I actually read "Devil In Winter" twice in one week! It's amazing how LK made their relationship work, they had no foundation whatsoever and we don't have an inkling it's gonna be them unlike Lillian and Westcliffe, but it's amazing how the events played out. What's great was Sebastian's gradual change and how he improved mightily. All of what makes a good novel are there for me - adventure, mystery, family values, love, lust, romance, and most of all humor - it's what makes me pick it up again and again.

Hello to you! We actually have the same name, mine's Carolyn Joy. ^_^

Our parents were obviously very discerning people!
Well maybe not in my case. It happens that I was born on 22 December so my name is not so original.

I'll take care of that, send me your email add and I'll send you Microsoft Reader and the ebook. ^_^

Thanks Danielle, glad to participate in the discussions.^_^

2. What are your favorite Lisa Kleypas books? Do I have to pick just a few? Can't I say all??? It Happened One Autumn, Seduce Me at Sunrise, Again the Magic, Love In The Afternoon
3. Who's your favorite Lisa Kleypas hero and heroine? Couple? Lillian and Westcliffe, John and Aline, Harry and Poppy
4. What do you like about Lisa Kleypas books? They have heart. Her stuff is well-written, her characters have flaws, and they are great re-reads.

1. My name is Mimi.
2. Favorite: Mine till Midnight. All the Hathaways - the Wallflowers. The Travis-Books are favorites too.
3. Favorite Couple: Amelia Hathaway and Cam Rohan. Other favorite Characters: Liberty.
4. What I love about them? ... They embrace me, it is this world of architecture and forests, that is accessable and many-dimensional. People are not "good", but there exists friendship and the possibility to form strong reliable bonds.
I love Cam - because he is really going for it. And Amelia because she can let go of her concepts for him, she gives herself to him inspite of what is normal and accepted in her world, which is a great risk she takes.
Liberty loves Hardy. I remember my own teenage years in reading about how she feels. I was just as badly fixated.

I've recently re-read all the London-based (excluding the New Orleans and contemporary stories) Kleypas books. Had to. I wanted to read Love in the Afternoon but needed to refresh my poor memory about all the characters and storylines.
The first Kleypas I read was "Suddenly You" which I borrowed from my sister. I then borrowed her complete Kleypas collection. *sigh*
When it was first released, I rushed out and bought "Sugar Daddy." I was soooo disappointed. For me, the story didn't start until I was 1/3 of the way into the book. I'm a patient person. I'll keep reading hoping it will get better.
So, I'll have to qualify my enthusiasm for Kleypas by saying I love her historicals.

2. What are your favorite Lisa Kleypas books? Lady Sophia's Lover and Where Dreams Begin (both 5 stars for me and I rarely give 5 stars to books!)
3. Who's your favorite Lisa Kleypas hero and heroine? Couple? My favorite heroes are Westcliff, Merripen and Sir Ross. My favorite heroines are Lillian and Lady Sophia. My favorite couple is Merripen and Win!
4. What do you like about Lisa Kleypas books?
I love her books because no matter what I think of the characters, I understand them. Even when I don't agree with her choices, they make sense to me. I also love that she has such a breath of stories and so much feeling and that's not afraid to take a gamble and try something new. That's why I really liked Sugar Daddy.

Yeah especially the research and all the aspects of human emotions. Storylines are different too.

2. Favorite is Love in The Morning.
3. Bea and Christopher. SOmething about him just pulled at me.
4. I like that she gives her heroines a mind of their own. For years I read historicals with the same storyline and heroine. LK gives so much more. Cna't wait to see what she's coming up with next!

2. Married by Morning and Love in the Afternoon
3. Leo and Catherine, Beatrice and Christopher
4. I love the time period for the Hathaway series and how the characters are all linked as a family. It's wonderful that each of them has their own book. The books just have a way of drawing you in and I was very sorry to see the end of the series but Love in the Afternoon was a great way to wrap up everything.
