I think it's a tie between Nick Gentry and Jack. <3 So hard to choose, LOL. She writes fabulous heroes.

Lady Jayne it is SOOOO nice to have you and all the old fogies STILL here! :-)
Better?

Oh, definitely. Love McKenna too. Told her what's what. ;)

2. Hathaways and Travises. I'm new to LK so have lots of catching up to do.
3. Since I haven't read very many yet I will hold judgement till a later time. Though I have enjoyed all the H/H's so far.
4. I'm a Judith McNaught fan and since she has not released a new book for quite awhile I went on the hunt for a new author that can hold my interest. LK was recommended and I am more than pleased. It's exciting to know I have so many more romances to live through. Right now I am reading Married by Morning.

There are threads for each book, threads for each hero, threads for each series.... if you can think it, there's probably a thread for it! Feel free to jump right in and chat it up!

I can't really pick a favorite - it's been awhile since I've read one of her books.
I enjoy her books because it's easy to fall "into" them - I usually feel right at home with her writing style. Plus, reading her books brings back good memories of my Mom who was also a big fan.

I just ordered her Christmas at Friday Harbor from Barnes and Noble. I think it will be out in November. I really love all her books. Thanks for the warm welcome; I appreciate it.

1. Name: Laura Stamps
2. What are your favorite Lisa Kleypas books? Right now I would have to say "The Bow Street Runners" is my fav series with "Lady Sophia's Lover" my fav cause I am madly in love with Sir Ross Cannon. Yes, I am! lol
3. Who's your favorite Lisa Kleypas hero and heroine? Sir Ross & Lady Sophia
4. What do you like about Lisa Kleypas books? I like the high heat level in that series. My GR buds have been telling me which ones sizzle and which ones don't, and I have been reading the steamy ones (gee, what a surprise! *lol)
Look forward to having some fun in this group as I read more and more Kleypas novels. ;)

And between you and me, I haven't really read any LK books that didn't have some sizzle to them. :)

2. Stranger in My Arms was the first LK book I ever picked up and I fell in love with her writing. I tracked down all of of her prior books shortly after and have been an obsessed fan ever since. I think if I had to pick just one I would go for her short story Surrender...from the moment I read that story I fell in love with that tortured hero.
As for favorite books, it's difficult for me to pinpoint just one favorite as it seems to change with each new series. I would have to say at present the Hathaways series is up there...I would love to be in that family and I can't wait for Bea's story!
Of her contemporaries it would have to be Smooth Talking Stranger...Jack Travis is swoon worthy!
3. Jason and Laura from Surrender, Derek and Sara from Dreaming of You, Nick and Charlotte from Worth Any Price...okay the list goes on and on. :)
4. What I like about her books echoes what many have already posted...her stories are passionate and funny and the characters seem real, they truly are people you want to root for and see succeed. I also like that even though she has separate historical series, most of them tie together by a common characters.

This is why I haven't bothered with them, I keep hearing they aren't very good. Or is that Julie Garwood's historicals? Hmmm......

I have been following Lady Danielle's reviews for awhile now on Goodreads, and anything she recommends I'll read. Is Danielle a professional book critic? She could be! I read about 3 books a week and I can't keep up with her. Thank you.

I couldn't agree more about Danielle's reviews. She is so thoughtful and detailed which really, really helps when trying to choose what to read next.

1. Joy
2. Devil In Winter, Someone To Watch Over Me, Lady Sophia's Lover, Dreaming Of You, Secrets of a Summer Night (these are the books I'd definitely read again to name a few)
3. Fave hero is none other than Sebastian St Vincent, the perfect example of a reformed rake, and heroine would be Evie, she's very interesting and despite the outward appearance, she's made of steel. Those two are my fave, but I also like Derek Craven and Sara Fielding, Sir Ross Cannon and Sophia Sydney, they're at the top of my list but it doesn't mean I don't like the other couples in her books.
4. Every story is an adventure and a puzzle, the love scenes are romantic but lustful and never comes out at sleazy, she writes good imagery, her narration is never boring, and I love how the characters cross over to other books.

1) Katie
2) It happened one autumn, A wall flower Christmas, Dreaming of you, Seduce me at sunrise, Smooth talking stranger... I just can't decide as they are all so good!
2) Lillian, Rafe, Derek, Merripen and Ella Varner. Actually I love all the Bowmans even the mother!
3) I love the dialogue, the humour, the romance. All her books make me smile. I have really enjoyed the wall flower series and have just finished Married by morning of the Hathaways - now just waiting for Love in the afternoon to arrive in New Zealand.

1. My name is Natasha
2. It Happened One Autumn,Secrets of A Summer Night, Blue-Eyed Devil, Smooth Talking Stranger but I could never choose between them, they are all so good!
3. I loved Lillian and Westcliffe.(but I have a BIG soft spot for Hardy Cates)
4. I love these books because Kleypas is not some trashy romance writer. Her stories are well written, her characters are lovable and interesting and the dialogue is wonderful. These are sweet books that make me grin like an idiot when I read them and I can't help but re-read them when I have the chance. I am also waiting for the next installment in the Hathaways series and I can't wait! I'm also tempted to go back and read "devil in winter" as so many people listed Evie and St.Vincent as favourite characters. I don't remember them being remarkable characters but I may have to rethink that!
