xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx,

1. Celina
2. Gosh, there's so many! Dreaming of You, and the whole wallflowers series! :)
3. Hero: Derek Craven. Heroine: Lawless Lily. Couple: Sebastian and Evie.
(Sorry, but what book is Nick Gentry in? I haven't read that one and he's a favorite hero by many. I want to read about him!)
4. What I like most with LK's books is the interactions of so much different characters. It's entertaining to read the witty clashes between the couples and the way they slowly fall in love with each other. The best thing about a book is when you want to live in it and LK does that for me.

Nick Gentry features in

1. My name is Gwen
2. Since I haven't read all of Lisa's books, right now the last one I read "Suddenly You" is my favorite at the moment.
3. My favorite couple is Jack Devlin & Amanda Briars from Suddenly You, as of the moment.
4. Lisa's romances are utterly romantic. Once I start reading them, I find it's hard to put them down. So good that I almost finish them in one night and I'm not a fast reader. Her heroines are women that are prim & proper for the historical era, but not so much that they don't follow their hearts. Love that! Also, they have minds, speak for themselves and can handle any of her Alpha heroes. I love Alpha heroes, especially hers, because even though their total Alphas, they need that one special woman to love them and add some balance to their lives. And their not afraid to say they love her, stand up for her or show that love. So yummy!
Her writing flows so easily on the page. It reminds me of the way Kathleen E. Woodiwiss's writing was. Magical and lyrical, with just the right blend of the right words to tie it altogether. The ebb and flow never changes, but is always uniform and smooth. Like Ms. Woodiwiss, she places her reader in the time period she's writing about. It's as if I can just step into it through her words and be enveloped by it. Wonderful!
I've started reading her backlist and have just ordered her Hathaway and Wallflower Series. When we lost Ms. Woodiwiss, I thought I'd never find anyone to satisfy my craving for the splendor, beauty and romance of Historical Romance. Well, I found her ... Lisa Kleypas!

For me, I think John McKenna, that often forgotten hero from Again the Magic, is one of my very favorite LK heroes, if not the favorite!
We have threads for each hero, each series, each book... feel free to jump in and share your thoughts. If you can think of it, there's probably already a thread for it!

I agree with Dhes about John McKenna. He's my absolute favourite LK hero to date and Again The Magic is my favourite book to date. If you're reading the Wallflowers series, you should read Again The Magic first because it is regarded as the prequel to the series.

Dhes, I absolutely adore John McKenna and have to re-read Again The Magic frequently to get my fix of him! Every time, I cry buckets over that book because the story is so heartrending!!

***Sigh*** Such a wonderful, beautiful, amazing story!

This book has so many wonderful moments that it's hard to pick out a special one. I think mine has to be (view spoiler)
I love the secondary romance as well. It was the icing on an already delicious cake!

I should make 2012 the Year of Re-reads.

I should make 2012 the Year of Re-reads."
I know what you mean, Dhes! I look at my bookshelves and there are so many wonderful books just waiting to be re-read but then I look at my TBR shelves on GR! Decisions, decisions... Do I re-read some all time favourites or reduce my TBR pile?

*sigh*

I'm one of those people who can read a few chapters and nothing is spoiled for me. I go to Barnes & Noble and if they have a "see inside" of the book, I'll read it. I'm terrible! Once I hear of a luscious hero, I'm there! :)

But then again, I love ALL her men.

Dhes, we certainly seem to have the same taste in men. LK men that is! LOL

If you could be ANY heroine, who would you be?

2. "Dreaming of You", "Worth Any Price" and "Devil in Winter".
3. Favorite hero? St. Vincent Favorite heroine? Sara Fielding Favorite couple? Can't choose between the two so I'll say both St. Vincent/Evie and Derek/Sara
4. Her characters are so real and uniquely themselves, her prose is beautiful, her love scenes are hot but not there just for the sake of a love scene...each advances the love story or the character growth, so I don't want to skip over them like I do other authors. She's just incredibly talented. When I came back to reading historical romance in college, LK is who I discovered first and she sucked me back into the genre (although I did go back and re-read my Julie Garwood and Johanna Lindsey favorites, too!). But Lisa blew me away! When I started writing historical romance, she is the author I most wanted to emulate and I hope that someday, I'll come anywhere close. :)
I look forward to this group!

My favorite hero is Nick Gentry from the Bow Street Runners.
Kleypas is an exceptional writer who knows how to first tell the story and build a romance. Her characters come alive on the page and are never one dimensional. I can't wait for Rainshadow Road to be released!
