HNY Amanda! I have been busy organizing my challenges. I broke down and created a spreadsheet, hehe. I think you'll like Lover Awakened. I have barely started BDB series. But so far it gets better with each Brother's story.
I hope so :) ... Lol how many group reads do you have going that you need a spread sheet :o lol but atleast you have your priorites straight! Lol
OMFG! LOL! I have joined SO many groups, but thank goodness they are all pretty much the same. Reading challenges and such. I have 2 that are plainly "read X amount of books in the year 2010" and then I encourage my other groups to do challenges. And join in on those! Haha!
Oh wow lol I'm pretty good with my 4 books or so a month ....but wow read x amount of books..tough..but I guess thee are good suggestions
Kenjii - I just got my 2010 spreadsheet made today! :)
I'm currently reading Shades of Midnight by Lara Adrian.
I'm currently reading Shades of Midnight by Lara Adrian.
I finished reading The Hunger Games again and will start reading Graceling. I think I'll read YA for a while.

A-haha Jan. What we do to support our reading habit!
For those that know me, you know I rarely read anything that could be described definetly as PNR. I found a few books at the thift shop today for 50 cents each and picked up...Catch A Mate by Gena Showalter
The Stone Prince by Gena Showalter
Bled Dry by Erin McCarthy
Up In Smoke by Katie MacAlister
They had a few other PNR type books I passed up that seemed to be more gothic vampirey than PNR with romance. Not sure Catch a Mate is PNR but most of Gena Showalter's books are I thought.
Kate: I think Catch a Mate [I have a copy TBR too:] is more contemporary romance. It depends on the publisher, but yeah, Gena is usually PNR. Hope you like ur picks!
I finished:

I liked both. Going to review in a little while.
Starting:
Though I may wait until I've read a bit further in my current reads:

I might start with Catch a Mate to get used to her writing style, then try out the other one. Probably wait til I need to use one of them to fill a challenge this year. The other two I picked up because the authors names have become familiar with ya'll mentioning them.
Wow!! I just finished
and LOVED it!! I could not put the book down!! What a great new author! Very interesting take on vampires and hot, hot, hot romance!! If you are looking for a new author to try Tracey O'Hara is it!! Very strong female heroine and intense and thrilling story!! I'm reading
next.
One Gena Showalter series I really would like to catch up on is the Alien Huntress series. She seems so be able to write very different style of PNR. Like Lords of the Underworld is has a totally different tone than her Atlantis series.I think if you like Catch a Mate then see if you can find some more of her romance stuff. Her PNR is what I have liked so far. But yeah, for 50 cents [like at the bookstore I work at:] I try new romance authors once in a while.
just finished
and am moving on to
. I really hope covet is as good as any of J.R. Ward's other books.
I have actually been avoiding Covet because I am not into that type of story. From reading the synopsis it just doesn't sound really good.
Let me know what you think of it!
Let me know what you think of it!
Will do Tricia. :) So far it is definitely in the style of her other books. And there are a couple of characters from the BDB series.

Tricia I agree I love the BDB series but feel Covet isn't the book for me. It was a BOTM read in my group i got to page 10 and just didn't want to finish.

I can't believe you got through Push. That book was sickening and stomach turning I had to put it down. Her mother/father needed a bullet in the head for what they did to her.

Jael: I don't know what it is but some taboo topics I can manage to detach from and read. I have to be in the right frame of mind. I did find the content disturbing. Why the movie is doing so well? I dunno...This sort of abuse happens, so I guess that's why I kept reading. To see what happens in the end.
Yeah I'll be picking it back up. I just had to take a break. I haven't seen the movie yet but everyone says that the performances are great! Your right this abuse does happen I just couldn't understand why when she had the baby no one at the hospital had sense enough to help her. That book had my blood boiling.
I figured the acting would be top notch. I mean I can totally get why this book was made into a movie. I have never read anything like it.
It's truly disturbing and i liked how the author wrote the first few chapters in the characters uneducated wording. It really gave you a feel for her struggle. I think I'll try reading it again this month.
I'm rereading
I actually didn't realize until I'm like in the 2nd chapter that I have read it before LOL. But, I'm loving it more now.
Jael: it was a nice break from romance [series:]. I liked the format too. I could review based on content and format but I can't say I "liked" the story ya know? It wasn't like taking something otherwise taboo and romanticizing it. So it was cut to the quick. I am thinking how to put that in words, say something good about it, but not "pretty" it up.
I wanted to finish Night before starting Knight of Darkness. But I can only take so much bloody misery in one day!
I read the first novella in:
Another great, hot addition to the B.A.D series. What made me a Kenyon fan before Dark Hunters.
Also read a couple chapters in:
I gotta say I don't get where this is going, but I am willing to hang in there a bit longer =D.
I just finished Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. It was turned into the movie "Christmas with the Kranks" starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. I havn't seen the movie yet though.
I finished Nice Girls Don't Date Dead Men and absolutely loved it! Another hilarious paranormal romance from Molly Harper!! I'm now reading
I tried reading
but really couldn't get through it so Tricia, if you haven't read it yet, I don't know if I'd bother. I even gave it 100 pages!Currently I'm reading
& I LOVE it!

It was pretty hard to get into, but I think that towards the ending it definitely got better. I think that this was more an introduction into how Jim becomes a fallen angel than anything else. I'm interested in seeing what happens with the other six people that he is supposed to save in the coming books.
Right now I'm reading Tithe by Holly black. So far it's kinda meh, hope it gets better.
[bookcover:Tithe|46777]
I just finished
by Lili St. Crow. The series is okay, this is book 2.I am now reading
by Jessica Inclan - I just started it today, but so far I really like it.
I've had a some headaches so my reading has been slowed down. I am enjoying my current books though.

Yeah, I think I'll probably go back to it later, I just wasn't enjoying to multiple POV because they didn't flow very well & I was having trouble connecting everything. Good to know it eventually gets better! :)
Finished
& am going to start
-aliens! Should be interesting...
