ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I'm reading James Potter and the Vault of Destinies by G. Norman Lippert. This is book 3 in the JP series. The author is releasing it a chapter a day (free) starting 1/1/10 until the book is complete. (There are 25 chapters). You can find them here:

http://www.jamespotterseries.com/JPVO...

Once all chapters are released, he'll combine them into one pdf file.

I will most definitely be reading Ecstasy Unveiled! I loved all 3 books but Passion Unleashed was really adorable & funny, Wraith is super cute. Still reading Awaken Me Darkly but just finished Driven By Desire by Luann McLane by LuAnn McLane & it was sort of like romantica with a great sense of humor, I really enjoyed it!

message 58: by Valorie (new)

Playing Easy to Get (Includes Immortals After Dark, #1; Vikings Underground, #3; and B.A.D. #5) by Kresley Cole

I liked S. Kenyon's B.A.D agent story. This one about a gangster and it was HOT! Besides men in uniform. I love a bad boy. I also read Jaid Black's Viking story. I like her series and love her sex scenes. She's a great writer all around.

Started:
Knight of Darkness (Lords of Avalon, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Barely into this one but I do like the world creation of present times and Arthurian knights/objects of magic.

I had a really tough time getting into it, too. But once I pushed through the beginning, I couldn't put it down.

It seems that the Angel-genre are possibly going to be as big as the Vampire-genre soon.

Agreeeed. We have to remember that this is a "set up book", and hopefully from here the series will get better.

And btw, I'm going to read Tithe after the Vampire Academy books.

You were right! I DO like it!!!

The beginning was just weird and boring and now I cant wait to find out what happens! lol I am about 70% through :D I will probably finish it this evening.

message 79: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Orlich Ahern (kittymeowxcore) | 29 comments Yup, that's how I was. I had to re-read the first 5% (kindle) a few times to even care. Then I sat down with lots of chocolate and was determined to make it through.

One thing I liked about it, is that J.R. Ward stuck with a paranormal story line, but there was actually a lot of mystery involved. I was GLUED to it.

♥Tricia♥ (siddie) | 1167 comments Mod
Yeah I am loving how there isn't a lot of romance in this one, not that I don't like romance but I am more into plot and action now a days hehe.

message 81: by ♦Jennifer♦ (new)

♦Jennifer♦ (thejenneral) | 83 comments Glad it picked up for you guys :D

Ohh, and I hope you like the Vampire academy books Amanda. They really get progressively better, and the last two are the best. They leave you on pretty good cliff hangers. I can't wait for the next one that is coming out this year sometime.Tithe was ok, but it wasn't something that I liked too much.

I finished The Girl Who Chased the Moon. It was a really cute read. Right now I'm in the middle of Shadowfall (Godslayer Chronicles, #1) by James Clemens , and I love it so far. Its all epic fantasy, complete with a discredited knight trying to save the world and clear his name in the process. ;P

message 82: by Paula (last edited Jan 19, 2010 06:21PM) (new)

Paula (pauldajo) Finished reading Poison Study, Magic Study and listening to Kitty and the Midnight Hour. I've given up on The Rest Falls Away. Currently reading Once a Witch

message 83: by Jessi (new)

Jessi (jessim) I just started Skin Trade. I loved the rest of the series, but have heard a lot of bad things about this book. I'm hoping that it's not that bad, but I'll see....:)

message 84: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I just finished Eyes of Fire by C.J. England and really didn't think it was that great. I found the female character to be whiny and self depreciating and the male fae character to be mean and indecisive. He couldn't seem to decide if he wanted the girl or not, and then took out his anger about it on her. Anyway, I could only give it 3 stars. I'm now moving on to Dark Stranger (Primes, #8) by Susan Sizemore

message 85: by Whitney (new)

Whitney (whitneychakara) | 21 comments I want to read a book that I own even tho i have alot of library books that I need to read as well . So I picked up a Thriller with no Fantasy in it called The Camel Club by david baldacci and im about to get into that I also have a library book due in about 2 days that I need to work on and i am trying my best to make it the The Summoning its soo slow i love fast books idk if ill read anymore Kelley Armstrong if all her Paranormal books are this slow. I just dont have the time in my life for slow reads lol.

message 86: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (aeriga) i found Bitten to be slow...it took a lot of effort to get into it...Stolen i liked much better

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Starting Dark Elves 4: Dissent by Jet Mykles. I've read 3 book by her this month!

message 88: by Valorie (new)

Valorie I finished Dark Stranger by Susan Sizemore. I really enjoyed it. Great alien and vampire story. I'm now reading Scorched (The Dark Forgotten, #2) by Sharon Ashwood

I just finished it. There is definitely a good amount of sex in it, but I don't really think that it over powers the action in it. I hate when books override the story with sex. Especially when they claim to be more of the action fantasy/paranormal genre, but this one had a really great plot that is going to make me want to check out the second one.

Moving on to Prey by Rachel Vincent

message 93: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I started Carpe Demon and I can't believe I saying this, but I don't like it. The book is going to the 'Not-going-to happen' bookshelf. I started reading Tainted, but got turned off by the monster and the frog. I'm not putting that book in the 'Not-going-to happen' bookshelf, but I'm putting it down from now.

I am reading a non UF book Nightshade.

message 94: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (aeriga) I finished Lover Eternal (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #2) by J.R. Ward and think im going to start The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan ...wanna read t before the movie comes out :)

message 95: by Lady Allison (last edited Jan 23, 2010 04:22PM) (new)

Lady Allison | 150 comments Finished Shiver (The Wolves of Mercy Falls, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater & ended up buying it because I loved it SO much - if you haven't read it, DO! This is the book I'm advertising to everyone who will listen lately, it's so incredibly sweet & tender yet heartbreaking & the words are so beautiful they're almost prose. It's incredibly well written.

Also finished Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr & will probably continue the series

& am currently reading My Soul to Save (Soul Screamers, #2) by Rachel Vincent which I've been waiting for for a while so I'm super excited about it! As much as I love vamps & weres, the banshee angle is a fresh take at the supernatural :)

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Allison: I am looking forward to reading the Soul Screamers series. I am waiting to finish some of the series I started last year [2009:] before starting anything new.

Shera (Book Whispers) (sherabookwhispers) I can't wait to read Shiver, but I'll be waiting until it's released in paperback.

I just finished Uninvited by Amanda Marrone, which I really didn't like. I'm now reading Marrone's Revealers, which is already shaping up to be much better.

i do the samething, bought the book already. normally the movies are disapointing after you read the book but since its from the guy who did the 1st two harry potter movies i think it should be good

Unapologetic_Bookaholic Even I think that's going to be a good movie. Though not a Harry Potter fan, I thought it was another Harry Potter movie and in the middle I was like "Hmmm, this is a pretty good series I guess." I think I'd rather read the book first too.
