i'm still reading
but I had taken a break for it when I got
for Kindle, though I don't have a kindle yet, I read it on my computer and usually I don't like reading books on my computer but all my stores around me were out of the hard copy and I was dying to read it so I sacrificed, it wasn't so bad actually and I know that one day soon I will have myself a kindle so it's ok. Oh and Pale Demon was just AWESOME!

Anyway, I just wanted to say that the first book may take a little to get used to - it's darker, grittier, the main character is a drug addict, etc.- different from a lot of the UF and PNR books out there. But, after the first couple of chapters, I was totally hooked. Enjoy!

Hell yeah! The Downside series by Stacia Kane is my absolute all time favorite!!!
welp I finished reading
I don't know what I am going to read next, but this evening I'm going to watch once upon a time and catch up on some tv episodes probably won't pick up a book until tomorrow at some point.
Well I'm not going to be reading for a while because it's coming to the end of the semester but when I get done these are the books i'm hoping to get to by the end of this month.
currently reading
put off reading this series for a long time and I am sorry that I did, couldn't put the first two books down and lovin this one too
I'm still reading
it's a good book, but I just haven't had time to read that much right now. It's finals at school so I've been busy with those. UGH! and it's taking me forever to get my essay and other stuff done so it's all completed by the 18th. But then I will be on break and get to read until I get sick of reading lol.
I just started reading Jennifer Rardin's Jaz Park series so I'm looking forward to reading a couple more over the Christmas holidays. I'm also looking to crack into Justina Robson's 5th book of the Quantum Gravity series (Down to the bone)...this is not a book for the light & fluffy paranormal fan, you really need to love your Sci-Fi Fantasy to see this series through, but if your up to the challenge and you want to read something without glittering vampires (lol) it's a wild ride. I've really enjoyed it.

I can't wait for it either. Loved the previous books.

I've looked at the first in this series a couple of times but was unsure. Obviously it's coming highly recommended, I'll have to give it a try.
Jenne wrote: "It's a great series you should try it Gin!"Adding to my list now. Thanks for the recommendation!

I know that some people had a hard time at first with the series because of her drug use, but it really is an awesome book. It's raw and it's dark and it's truly amazing all at the same time. I say this now, when I put the first book down and moved on after only about 30 pages. I then went back to it after so many people raved about it. I'm SOOOO glad that I did.

I'll give it a try. I usually try ang give myself a good hundred pages before I put something down.
Has anyone else read
this series? I just recently finished the second book. I know it's not UF, but I love Kim Harrison so I decided to try it. I was really surprised how much I like it so far. I've not seen anyone else talk about it though.
Hey Gin, nope I have never read that series I knew she had written a few others before getting into Rachel Morgan series but it was challenging to find in my library so I let it go.

I was unsure about the first book too but boy am I glad that I kept reading it.
Dawn wrote: "Hey Gin, nope I have never read that series I knew she had written a few others before getting into Rachel Morgan series but it was challenging to find in my library so I let it go."They made me realize what I like about Kim Harrison. She is excellent at writing believable characters and friendship development. They remind me more of a children's book like Harry Potter or something like that. Surprisingly, I couldn't put the first one down.

I love when that happens!
