I hope you all are doing well. Sorry about Monday - a bit of a vision problem. So I will just post next Monday and the point leader will be asked to develop the 50-point question.

1.5: The Secret Garden (368 pgs); There were 42 comments on this discussion when I checked it today. And I also participated in the discussion.1.20: Postcards from No Man's Land (336 pgs); I picked this book for this task because April rated it a 5 & I trust her judgment with books. Also, it's been sitting on my TBR for quite some time. April rated it 5 stars and I would rate it with 4 stars. I liked the idea of the book and would like to read it again if I find time, but it's not a book that I will definitely re-read soon. I enjoyed Gertruii's point of view the most.

I was going to use this one for the task about writers/ storytellers, but it also had several African and Jewish words in the text, so I chose to go that route. Either way, it was a pretty good story about a part of the world I know little about.

Yes of course we miss you Lydia!!! Is this total from last week? I'm a little confused because I have 245 points. Just checking.

Diana, you are totally correct! I re-read the rules. I need a corrected posting for Roseann, since the three of you are in the top.
Hurray! I am super excited to do the 50 pointer... Should I post it to tasks or message it to you, Lydia?Glad you're back, by the way! Sorry about the vision problem, what a drag. Anything we can do to help lighten your load??

=) Thanks a bunch Lydia. Hope your vision clears up. I know what a drag that can be. =/ I am looking forward to the 50 pointer! Bring it on Angela ;)
Lydia, did you post an updated point total somewhere? I'm not seeing it. Perhaps it's a glitch? I don't have your post that starts...

I have been wondering where you've been. Hope you're feeling better!

I'm having the same problem as Jennifer W. I see people responding that they are glad to hear that Angela will be writing the new task, and that they're glad you're feeling well enough to update the points, but I didn't see either kind of post from you, Lydia. Am I missing something? Was it in another thread?
No, I deleted the list because I need Roseann's tasks. She is sending to me and I will be printing the new list momentarily.Still communicating with Roseann, who is in school. So, as soon as I have the correct numbers for the list I will post it.
AngelaSunshine, please understand I need to get the completely corrected list before I can award the 50 point task. I'm so sorry, but the board became a bit confusing, which is why we ask that it be limited to the listing of tasks and not discussions of the books. Please forgive me.
Again, I am sorry about the confusion. You all are so nice to just enjoy the fun of the challenge.Well, the friendly competition has ended. LOL
