(Katie)--also discuss why agree/disagree with member’s rating. (247 pgs.)
This book was sometthing that Bridget Jones may have written in her teens. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I completely agree with Katie's rating of 5 stars as it was very believable while being a very fun read.
and

Eve, it is easier if you just list the task number, book title and number of pages. Thanks ever so much.
So, Lydia is it easier if we just list what we finished instead of having a list of everything we've finished?
Yes, Kellee. My spreadsheet is set up so that I can enter the points and number of pages for each task for each person. Please include the book title so I have a cross-check reference. Thanks so much for asking.
Ok, i edited my post, so there is just one task that i finished today (have to love Terry Pratchett :))This is my first challenge and i'm loving it :) Thanks for organising it
Completed Task4.15 (17-37 letters in the title) The Ask and the Answer by Patrick Ness (544 pgs)1/2/10
Total Points Earned: 15
Page total: 837
One more down (I'm working on two challenges, so this one got a little ignored today)--3.15
GO ASK ALICE by ANONYMOUS (DIARY FORM)
I think this is one of the first so-called "Banned Books" that I understand why it was challenged. Lots of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll with a girl who is underage for a short portion (18 through most). A very good cautionary tale, taken from the actual diary of an addict. I believe that it could alter some young peoples decisions regarding whether or not to try drugs.

You are ever so welcome.
1/2 of task 4.20Marcelo In The Real World by Francisco X. Stork, at 320 pages
a beautiful book similar to The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time or Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close due to the narrator having an Asperger's like condition.
One more completed--2.10
DEATHWATCH by ROBB WHITE--recommended by my Children’s/YA librarian
Ben should never have taken the job to accompany Madec on a hunting trip in the desert. Now he is fighting for his life in a cat & mouse game where only Madec has a weapon.
This was pretty hardcore for a YA novel with suspense and real danger oozing from its pages. My YA librarian was right, this one was pretty good.
Total Points: 60
Total Pages: 1104
First post!4.15. My age is 28, and I chose How to Say Goodbye in Robot by Natalie Standiford (22 letters) which is between 18 and 38. 288 pages.
TOTAL = 15 points, 1 book, 288 pages.
1.15 Wintergirls This was a really good book, and I think it would make a great group read. It was very well written and I recommend it highly.I think we could have some interesting discussions based on Wintergirls.

4.10 The Thirteenth Child, 344 pagesTotal Points: - I feel silly asking, but I have never done a challenge... is it 15 points per task?

Maria, the points are assigned based on the task number-- so task 4.10 is in section 4 for ten points. Hope you're enjoying your first challenge!
One more down--4.15
BROTHERS, BOYFRIENDS & OTHER CRIMINAL MINDS by APRIL LURIE
I am 47, so it had to be between 37 and 57 letters, this has 39.
I really liked the fact that this YA novel was set in the late 70's--it was like reading a YA novel for my generation (they didn't have many when I was a teen). Story involves a young girl who moves to a new neighborhood and has to deal with the mob who figures prominantly in the neighboring houses. A pretty good story. 289 pgs.

THE BOOK THIEF by MARCUS ZUSAK (Colorado-Blue Spruce Y/A Book Award)(552 pgs.)
This was one amazing book. It had been on my TBR list for some time now, but I actually had no idea what it was about. I was charmed, shocked, and saddened throughout this story about a girl in 1942 Germany who finds joy in books. I loved this story and think it should be on every YA lovers TBR shortlist.
and
BOY IN THE STRIPED PAJAMAS by JOHN BOYNE (Alaska-Pacific NW Lib. Assoc Young Reader‘s Choice Award)(216 pgs.)
If I had known the content of THE BOOK THIEF I may not have chosen this story as its companion, but I also have wanted to read it for some time now. I think the most moving part of this book is the juxtoposition of the innocence of Bruno with the terror of the Nazis. I loved the fact that Bruno never lost his innocence, even in the final chapter.
I think I need to find something a little happier for my next read.

Mandy, did you like Viola in Reel Life? It doesn't have the best rating, but sounds kinda good.
3.25 I Heart You, You Haunt Me (227 Pages)I enjoyed this book very much. As well as being a very easy read, it was a little inspirational. It brought a smile to my face. =)

Angela, I liked Viola in Reel Life, it was a coming of age story about a girl going to boarding school and away from everyone and everything she knew. Looking at the back, I believe it may be the first of a four book series, but I am not sure as I had the ARC. Nothing too original, but realistic characters, a little romance, and a lot of girl friendship.
Lydia, I had heard a lot about Wallflower and had it on my shelf for a long time. I found it heartbreaking but engrossing. I´m glad I finally had a reason to take it off the shelf.
