Do we? Please elaborate :-) Use spoilers if needed. Thanks."
Dustin, please. Don't make me say it. I'll sound crazy. Really, you don't have any assignment of identity for her? Think man. I mean, Odd is about becoming a saint...

Jen LD - see my spoiler post two comments above your last comment :-) I made Crazy my middle name so I can say pretty much what ever I want and get away with it.
and to the other Jen, We meet Annamaria in book four of the Odd Thomas series, Odd Hours. She is also in Odd Interlude, Odd Apocalypse and we will likely see her again next month in book six, Deeply Odd :-)

I really must read this series! Preferably sometime soon (though sometime in 2012 is probably a better goal to have). :-)
Thanks for letting me know, Dustin!

So Jen, do you think Annamaria is [spoilers removed]
I'm very curious as to your thoughts :-)"
Yes, that's who I think she is. But I do not know why, or how it would work out. I think perhaps DK sees her as perpetually with child. Sort of the Virgin of Guadeloupe perhaps...I do not know how to make this a spoiler comment! Hope no one minds. Many great saints seem to have a close relationship with Mary and I think that's what Oddy is modeling. Notice she isn't involved with the action at all but he always returns to her, checks in. She seems to know everything that's happening. I would love to talk to DK about this. Do we ever submit questions or have chats? Our old book club did that with our author once in a while.

Did you know 2012 is over? We are already nearly a quarter of the way through 2013 now! :-)

I wish :-) I would suggest writing DK via snail mail with paper and stamp and let us know what he says when he responds.

FYI the instructions for spoiler and other nifty goodreads things such as bold and italic text and what not can be found in the box where you would write a new comment - look in the upper right corner of the Comment box and you will see a link that says (some html is ok) click on that and see. formatting involves using these pointing brackets<> and this back slash line / and other words or letters inside the pointy brackets. :-) Good Luck

Darn it! You know, I never once wrote 2012 instead of 2013 when the year changed, but then out of nowhere I did so five times between April 9th and 10th!

Yes!!!!! lol and I hate it especially when I've been writing it properly for over three months! I have no idea why all of a sudden on those two days I put last year instead of this year. I thought about it at the time and couldn't come up with why.

Oh wow. How curious! I keep wanting to give my old phone number in place of my now-main cell number, but I only just gave up my old phone number when I moved in January.
As for the number I had as a child, every once in awhile (and just last night, in fact!) I'll see if I still have it in my memory banks. So far, I do. But I can't remember anyone else's phone numbers from back then, no matter how hard I try.

I thought "Odd Apocalypse" was definitely out there! At this point, I am a fan of Odd but confused by his current adventures. My loyalty keeps me reading with the hope that the bigger picture will become clear as time goes on. "Life Expectancy" was my other DK experience and after I got the hang of it, I enjoyed that story. DK impressed as a unique and fascinating person so I am waiting for the next Odd...

My name's Andreas and I am from Hamburg, Germany.
I have been a Dean Koontz fan ever since I read "Fear Nothing". Since then, I have read over 30 Dean Koontz novels, which is a way for me to kill time while I wait for "Ride the Storm" to come out. (c;
Unfortunately, no one else in my suspense loving circle of friends likes to read Dean Koontz (they seem to prefer Scandinavian authors like Larsson, Nesbo, and Indridason) so I am glad to have find this group.

Hey Andreas :-) Thanks for introducing yourself though it seems like you are an old timer around here now. Glad you found your way into some of the discussion threads. We're gonna have a while to wait for Ride the Storm so we're glad to have you with us.

I'll have a look around the place and see what you guys have been discussing. (c:

A Good Favorite to have :-) Welcome to Koontzland Lauren!

Like many Koontz fans my favorites are Lightning & Watchers. I'm currently reading "The Door to December." Strongly dislike it so far, but I didn't have high expectations. Most of his books that I have not read, I've put off due to lower rankings.
Look forward to meeting other Koontz fans and discussing his works.
