Julie (skyy126gmailcom) Just like many I'm into the Paranormal craze. i have read a few books already however was looking for some good suggestions.

Series:
I would love to find another good series, something similar to Twilight (if at all possible) and/or Vampire Academy.

Paranormal/Dark Romance:
I read Hush Hush and Shiver - loved them both. Although, the sequels are coming soon I was hoping to get suggestions on some similar stories to keep me busy in the mean time.

Hoping to hear everyones thoughts/suggestions. Thank you in advance to all those that make suggestions.

Melanie (meltotheany) (meltotheany) I'm currently reading Evermore and it's VERY much like Twilight, actually a little too much like it! But I'm only 1/2 way through it!

I see you have the House of Night books on your "to read list"... Those are pretty good and there are six so it will last you for a little bit :).

And the person above me recommended Wicked Lovely, which is amazing and so is the rest of the series.

Hope this helped :)

I read Vampire Academy and loved it... I can't wait for the next one. I read Vampire Diaries and thought it was horrible, the tv show is better.

I have gotten a few suggestions in reference to the House of Night series so that's next on the list. Thank you for you suggestions.

I think part of the prob with the Vampire Diaries is that they are horribly dated. The story is good, but I think the author should have gone for things that wouldn't wind up "dating" it as it were.

message 11: by Christine (new)

Christine (hypermama) | 8 comments Vampire Diaries was MUCH better when it first came out in the early 90's (I read them back then and LOVED them)

The House of Night was a good series to read.

the Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz was a fun one to read as well. http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87...

I heard about that... Incredible... Ellena has more lives than a cat. First she's human, then she dies, then she's a vampire, then she dies, then shes a ghost, then she's back.. Too much to keep track of and too unrealiatic even for a fiction vampire series.

Tracy74 So I just finished the 1st Vampire Academy book. It was good...I'm curious to see what happens next. But,
I just got a few books that came in from the library so I don't know what I should read next...any help would be appreciated. Here are my choices.
1. Vampire Academy 2
2. Lament / Ballad
3. The Maze Runner

Thanks...Tracy

I too was a huge twilight fan and had a hard time finding something to affect me the way Twilight did. *Unfortunately I still haven't found exactly what I got from Twilight, but there are some other great books out there. I would suggesst Beautiful Creatures (My favorite book..almost EVER!), The Hunger Games/Catching Fire, I read House of Night (which was entertaining), but the last one that came out left a pretty big cliffhanger and I've got to wait a while on that. Good luck. Oh yeah, with Evermore, I read that and Blue Moon and I loved them, but when the new one Shadowland came out I rushed to buy it but I have yet to get into it.
Hope that helps.
Tracy

Laura Lawson (Silver_Wing) | 3 comments It does, thank you! With Shadowland it takes a little while to get into it, it has several different twists in it that I didn't see coming and over all I thought it was good, it just took patience in the beginning. I hope you like it! As far as your choices go, I loved The Maze Runner. If you love books that keep you guessing right up to the end and are full of suspense and adventure then you'll enjoy reading it.

I hope I helped you :)
Laura

Thanks Laura. If you really like Evermore and the rest you will LOVE Beautiful Creatures!
