Haha! Mine too! It was so bad that I wasn't allowed to use Windows when I used his computer! Let's just say Ubuntu and I are friends.
I've noticed that too with my comic bookstores too!
They seem to focus on games and action figures more than graphic novels. I guess I'm part of the wierd group of the comic readers. haha!

Yeah, the media world is changing and I'm not embracing much of it. I still like buying cds as opposed to digital downloads. I like having physical books as opposed to e-books (which, I DO have a Kindle and I think its great and while the switch to e-books is going to have a devastating effect to the job industry, I DO however like the idea of how environmentally friendly it is, but I hardly ever use my Kindle. I think I've read... 3 or 4 books total on it since I got it in March and I've read about 200 hard copy books. So, you can see which I prefer :-p), but what can you do?
Yes, that's how the comic book stores (that are still actually around) around where I live are too. I mean, games and action figures are great! But... where are the books? :-p
Anyway, when I finish up Future Diary volumes 9 and 10, I'll maybe steal my boyfriends Mac and use it to check out some of those sites :-p That way my computer will stay safe and his should too!

Are we the same person?! I'm the same way!
I don't even have mp3s! Having a physical library is way more fun than doing to scroll down a virtual library. Though it would be neat to have if I could get books I can't get in print, electronically.
You might want to ask him about a linyx os too. From what I understand, they are much easier to reformat. But, I don't get much when it comes down to electronic anything. I barely comprehend the difference in byte sizes.

Kodansha has started something they call LIMITED SPOTLIGHT SERIES Read volumes 1-3 for FREE that features two series at a time.
Currently they have:
The Great Cleric Until 9/4: https://kodansha.us/series/the-great-...
Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex Until 9/18: https://kodansha.us/series/ghost-in-t...

Normally I do not support sights that allow illegal scans of published work (unless the publisher stopped publishing it and no one picked it up) but this is a good way for Kodansha to get their series in the literal spotlight outside of things like Humble-Bundle.

Mangafox also lacks sum of the correct grammer 4 sum of the mangas ive read. Im not sure if theyll work on ur computer. (I know i say mangafox lacks sum grammer and/or spelling and yet i type in almost all abbr.) 😊

Thanks! No, I work at a public library now since posting that and just check out all the manga I read from the library :) There was just a few volumes missing from a series I was reading and wanted to finish it but a lot of fan translations are incorrect online so I don't use online stuff anymore. But thanks!!

That said for the economically disabled readers there is an app called Comikey that allows you to read a certain amount of chapters for free with an option to be able to buy the chapters to keep and read whenever. I used it to check out several titles everyday and to continue reading Arte which sadly was dropped by its old publisher. It should still be in whatever app store you can access. :)

And I get the thing about buying used, but if you want to get manga and don't feel like paying full price, its the best option. And for me, its the only option now that Borders is out of business because I refuse to shop at Barnes and Noble and unfortunately there are no other bookstores around where I live that carry manga except for Half Prices Books....which is the same as buying off Amazon. Haha, even comic book stores are hard to come by these days and I live in a major metropolitan area. It's a sad thing :-( But times are changing.
