On Thanksgiving my dishwasher started making awful death rattle type noises. Today my microwave just stopped working for no good reason. Tonight my DVD player says "cannot play that disc" to every disc I insert. It's like Tiger Woods mistresses around here! One chirps up and everyone else has to follow suit?!?! Can't you fucking expensive electronic devices wait your turns to break? Like I have thousands of dollars at FUCKING chrismastime to replace you all at once?! NO. so now I have to prioritize. Obviously, I'm buying a microwave tomorrow.

If it was me it'll be dvd first and then the microwave... and fuck the dish washer...I'm afraid of them!
Did you try cleaning the laser?
I have no idea what you're talking about. But, no. I didn't try anything. I just said some curse words and put my disc in the DVD player downstairs.
Ok as much as I love to curse at inanimated objects it don't work... if you don't feel comfortable opening it and cleaning the laser I think they sell some disc cleaner... way cheaper than a new dvd... still. I wish I was an unicorn!!!

I'm lost too. Back to post #1. Are you sure Gretchen there's no glitch or something in your electric network? Faulty plug, power strip or something... It does not sound good.
meaning for the microwave? I ran several diagnostic tests on it including pushing the buttons over and over as hard as I could, screaming fuck at the top of my lungs, calling my husband to see if he broke it, unplugging it and plugging it back into another socket, pushing buttons with thumb for better leverage, opening and shutting the door several times. I then pronounced it "broken" and bought a new one.
You should start like your own diagnostics business. Very impressive tests. Very.
