I'm not during that great either, especially compared to last month. I have to do my mother-in-law's taxes as well as my own, and it's eating up a lot of time. It's a bit of a let-down, but life happens and other months will be better.

I seriously doubt I'll finish 144 books for the year, but whatever I do finish, I'll feel a sense of accomplishment.

23 down, 121 to go!

I went to the library today and picked up a book I had on reserve and also grabbed another while I was there.

I'm starting #36 5 Bodies To Die For.

here's my review (I think):

Hi Wendy, Looks like the Midnight Breed series continues on in Lara Adrians next book called "Taken by Midnight". I don't know when it will be released but I am so looking forward to it coming out.

I'm now done with #3 of 144 ;)

Thank you for the encouragement Catherine! I'm one of those types who does too many things at once, and is easily distracted, so buckling down and reading "quickly" is a challenge for me and something I've been wanting to work on for a while. I feel like I'm making some good progress and I'm all excited!

51 Caressed by Ice by Nalini Singh
52 Frisco's Kid by Suzanne Brockmann
53 Night Life by Caitlin Kittredge
54 The Eagle and the Nightingales by Mercedes Lackey
55 The Cinderella Deal by Jennifer Crusie
56 Ladies Prefer Rogues by Janet Chapman, Sandra Hill et. Al.
Sigh, my computer has been up and down. So hadn't been keeping good track of my reads for this month.
Ladies Prefer Rogues has 4 short stories in it--they all deal with time travel of one sort or another--2 are good, 1 is ok, and the last is yawn city.
The Cinderella Deal I picked up at the grocery store because it was by Jennifer Crusie. This was one of her typical light, breezy and amusing stories. A good quick read, with plenty of weird actions by the 2 main characters.

I've finished my 10th of the month (23rd of the year) and have three more underway. Trying to finish the last of the Sleeping Beauty books, almost done with the newest Victoria Dahl, and just started my next BDB book (Lover Unbound) this morning.

Hi Donnajo, I am reading one of James Pattersons book right now called Witch and Wizard and it is pretty good so far. By the way, Happy Valentines to you too and to everyone else too. Hope you all had a great day. happy reading everyone

Anyway, I really liked Marked and so great potential for this series but it seems as the books go on, I'm falling out of love with them... which is too bad. It has happened a with another series this year as well which is just too bad.

Congrats on 37 books. I was wondering how you felt the HON series. I also read Marked and liked it, but heard that it goes a bit downhill from there. Would you still recommend the series?

I'd say during books 2 and 3 I found myself more annoyed at Zoey and with the overall flatness of the characters. Like I could overlook it in a first book in a series, but by the 3rd I wanted there to be a little more from them. I'll get back to you after I finish and let you know exactly, but as of right now I'm really undecided. Maybe I'm just an optimist hoping it will get better.

I am so excited for you!! I am not a fast reader either. I like to really get into the books I am reading and it seems like I am always longing for more when the book ends!! Good luck with the rest of the challenge!! You have such a great attitude!! Keep it up!!
