Zach walked down to his kitchen, and took out a box of cereal. "Cereal?" he asked.
Rebecca shrugged. "Sure why not," she said.
Zach poured her and himself some cereal, and sat at the kitchen table. He sighed, "Cereal is my favorite breakfast." he said as he started to eat.
"It's alright," Rebecca said taking a spoon full.
"What is your favorite? And why?" Zach asked.
"I like Lucky Charms," she admitted. "I know there for kids but I have the worst sweet tooth so I like marshmallows."
Zach smiled, "I like sugar too, but not lucky charms. Frosted Flakes, you know, with the tiger on the box."
"Those are my second favorite," Rebecca smiling.
"So...if it's saturday, then what are we gonna do?" he asked her.
"Um it's sunday and I don't care, it's up to you."
"Sunday? Dang it! I need to keep track of these things..." Zach muttered.
"Well we could start the day by teaching you the alphabet," Rebecca said jokingly.{{What if I made a character that' like Zach's ex and is nuts sorta like Kyle?}}
"I know the alphabet." Zach said as there was a knock on the door. "I'll get it." He opened the door."'Sup Zach?" Susannah said.
"Hey Susannah, what are you doing here?" Zach asked, pleasantly surprised.
"Oh, I came to say hi, and to make sure everythings still cool." Susannah said.
"Yeah, everythings good." Zach answered.
"Awesome, then you can come hiking with me!" she said excitedly.
"Well, Rebecca is here..." Zach said.
"Ooooo! She can come too!" Susannah said excitedly.
"Well, come in, and we can ask her." Zach said.
Susannah ran into the house and when she saw Rebecca, she said, "Rebecca! Want to go hiking?" as Zach walked back into the kitchen.
((Hmmm....I think that could work.))
Rebecca glanced at Susannah. "Um.. sure," she said after swallowing a mouthful of cereal.{{any name suggestions?}}
"Yes! Guys this is going to be so much fun! I'll wait outside for you guys." and with that, Susannah ran back out of the house, and sat on the porch steps.Zach smiled, "I've never gone hiking before." he said as he cleaned his cereal bowl, "Do you think it's as fun as she says it is?" he asked Rebecca.
((Um...Jaquleen? No idea, just a suggestion))
Rebecca shrugged. "I'm not sure," she said. "Although it would be mildly entertaining if we ran into the werewolves."
"Why would it be entertaining?" Zach asked as he laced his tennis shoes.
"Oh... um... no reason," Rebecca said realizing that that was her outside voice and not just in her head. She had been thinking about how Kahlan wanted to rip Susannah's head off.
"Zach, I'm not sure if you noticed but I'm still in my dress from yesterday," Rebecca said. "We're gonna have to stop by my place."
Zach nodded, "Right...I forgot. Sorry. Come on, let's go tell Susannah." Zach said as he walked out the door. "Susannah, Rebecca needs to go change, and i'm going to drive her, but you can come with us if you want, so you dont have to like walk to meet up with us." he said.Susannah nodded, then looked at Rebecca, "Yeah...if we're going hiking, she will want to change out of that outfit."
"Yeah I should also probably take my car back to my place," Rebecca said seeing her 'vett still parked outside Zach's house.
"Ok, Rebecca, you can drive your car, and Susannah and I will drive my car, sound good?" Zach asked.
"Sure," Rebecca said not crazy about the idea of Susannah being alone with Zach.
Zach nodded, "Well, then let's move." Zach got in his car, and Susannah got in the passanger seat.
Rebecca got in her car and went over to her place.
Zach followed. Susannah and Zach got out of his car, and waited in her front yard.
Rebecca went inside, went up to her room, and got changed. She grabbed a pair of jeans, a loose fitting t-shirt, and a pair of Timberlands, and started changing.
Zach and Susannah sat in the grass in front of Rebecca's yard. "Are you scared?" Zach asked Susannah."About the wolves? Yeah, but hiking is the only thing I have. If I cant do it because of some wolves, then what do I have?" she said.
"You have me. And Rebecca. Your friends." Zach said.
Susannah smiled, "Yeah, but...hiking's something I've done since I was about...old enough to walk. I will not let some over sized dogs take that away from me." Susannah said with determination.
Rebecca came out ready to go. "Alright let's go," she said.
They stood up, "You guys will love this! Come on!" Susannah said excitedly as she started walking towards the woods. Zach followed.
Rebecca followed behind and took Zach's hand.Jacob had been keeping an eye on Susannah since the incident with Kahlan, and Kahlan had been keeping an eye on Zach.
Zach looked over at Rebecca and smiled, "So, have you ever gone hiking?" he asked.
"Nope," she said shaking her head.
"Then this should be interesting." Zach said with a smile as he followed Susannah."Oh, guys!" Susannah said excitedly, "That rock there? that's my favorite rock." It was a big stone, and was a reddish color with an irregular shape
Rebecca tried so hard to suppress a giggle. "Favorite rock?" she whispered.
"I don't know." Zach said as he shrugged. "Susannah, why's it your favorite?""Because that was the rock I tripped over when i first went hiking. It is my favorite, because it helped teach me to ba careful in these woods. That's why i always try to pass it whenever i can. To remind myself that while the woods look peaceful and quiet, many things actually live here, and that you need to be careful." She explained.
Zach's eyebrows raised in surprise. that was a very...logical answer.
Rebecca's urge to laugh stopped. Jacob stepped into everyones range (in human form). "You got that right," he said to Susannah. "There are plenty of dangerous things in these woods.
Susannah nodded, "Yeah, unfortunately I've run into some. But, fortunately, nothing too bad happened.""Who are you?" Zach asked from behind Susannah.
"That's Jacob," Rebecca told him quietly. "The werewolf whose in love with my cousin and Susannah.""Oh yeah your probably not used to seeing me like this," Jacob said to Susannah. "You'd probably recognize the large russet wolf."
Susannah gasped, "That was you! Crap! Is that other wolf still looking for me? Or did she give up?"
"I don't know," Jacob said. "Kahlan's still really pissed at the both of us. Me for imprinting on you, and you just because she's really jealous because she's imprinted on me. It's strange no one has ever imprinted on more then one person before and I've imprinted on you and Kahlan."
Susannah glared, "So we can blame you. It is your fault! Great! Well, I think we should continue our hike, come on guys!" Susannah said as she angrily stepped around Jacob, and kept walking.Zach followed.
Jacob caught up to Susannah in a few strides and fell into step with her. "You know if she catches you and I'm not around, I don't know what she'll do," he warned her.
"Stick around, go away, I do not really care." Susannah said in annoyance.
"I think I'll stick around," Jacob said. "Just to keep an eye on you." He was tempted to try and take Susannah's hand but he knew it wasn't a good idea.
Susannah was mentally cursing herself for feeling the releif she felt. What if he had chosen to leave? What the hell would she do if she ran into the crazy wolf? Instead of saying all of that stuuf though, she just nodded, then she gasped, and smiled, "Oh, my god guys! that tree over there? that's my favorite tree in this whole freakin' forest!"
Jacob smiled. "Why's that?" He asked honestly interested.
"Because when I was...7? Yeah, 7, I climbed that tree. It was the first time i had ever climbed a tree, and I fell and broke my arm. but as soon as I healed, I tried again and I got to the top! the tree didnt beat me, now everytime I think I cant win, I think of this tree, and I figure, I can just try again right? Well, most of the time anyway." she said smiling back. Why? She had no idea, but she always smiled when she talked about her favorite things in the forest.
