"Has he been behaving differently at all lately?" Kahlan asked.
Susannah thought for a minute. "No, no, I don't believe so. Why?" she asked.
Kahlan paused awkwardly for a second. "Well it's almost wolf mating season," she said. "I kind of thought that I should give you the heads up."
"...oh," Susannah said. "That's...interesting."
"I just didn't think you would want to be blind sided," Kahlan said. "Believe me this is as awkward for me to be talking about as you."
"Yeah, I believe you. Thanks." Susannah said.
Kahlan nodded. "And if things get to... intense you are welcome to crash at my place."
Susannah nodded. "Good to know. Thanks."
"Your welcome," Kahlan said. "Well that was kind of all I had planned to say."
"Alright, then I'm going to head back home," Susannah said.
"You might want to talk to Jake about this," Kahlan suggested. "You know before he goes into heat."
Susannah nodded, "Ok, I will," she said.
"Hey baby," Jacob called, hearing the door open.
"Hey," Susannah said, closing the door and finding him. "What are you doing?"
"Getting dressed," Jake called from his room. "I just got out of the shower."
Susannah walked in. "Kahlan told me something...interesting." she said.
"Yeah," Susannah said, leaning against the door.
Jake pulled his shirt on then sat on his bed. "Do you want to fill me in or is it a secret?"
"She said something about it being close to...wolf mating season?" Susannah said.
"Oh," Jacob said. "Yeah I guess it is."
"She seemed to think it would make you act weird." Susannah said.
"Did she explain how?" Jacob asked.
"Not exactly," Susannah said. "She didn't seem comfortable talking about it at all."
"I'm sure she did," Jacob chucked. "I'd be pretty uncomfortable talking to the person dating my ex about there sex life."
"Oh, yeah," Susannah said. "I didn't even think about that."
"Was there something in particular you wanted to know?" Jacob asked, pulling her to sit on his lap.
"Just if you thought you'd be acting weird." Susannah said.
"Of course I will," Jacob said. "All the wolves will, but I'll be one of the worst."
"Well in the days leading up to me being in heat I will be particularly... excitable," Jacob said. "Then I will be much more possessive then usual."
"Mhm. Ok, good to know," Susannah said.
"On the plus side," Jacob said, his lips moving to her neck, "the sex is phenomenal."
Susannah laughed, "It's always pretty good," she said.
"That's true," Jacob smirked against her neck.
Susannah smiled and ran her fingers through his hair.
Jacob planted a trail of open-mouthed kisses along her neck.
Susannah moaned softly, her hands fisting in the hair at the nape of his neck.
"Perhaps a demonstration is in order," Jacob suggested, his tongue flicking against her sing.
Susannah grinned. "I would love a demonstration," she said.
Jacob pushed her down on the bed kissed her lips hungrily.
Susannah kissed him back passionately.
Jacob slid his hands under shirt and light stroked her torso.
Jacob's hands cupped her breasts through her bra, kissing her harder.
Susannah arched her chest into his hands, returning his kiss with just as much force.
Jacob rubbed against her slowly, gripping her breasts harshly.
